We did this for the show!!!! ARGH! On Larry King with Wolf!

eta: Out of the mouth of babes! Falcon answered why he didn't come out when he heard them calling for him...we did it for the show! Dad is lying through his teeth, and not very well. Throw the book at them!!

I call B.S.!

I heard that too, and Wolf let it ride!!!

That Dad was giving WAAYY to many technical details about how the thing works vs. how it came to be untethered! Pay up Heene Fam! :innocent:

JMO....and ONLY MO, but....these children, as their behavior on LKL appears to me, are out of control. All the twitching and mumbling...and leaving their chairs....i'm baffled by all of this....:waitasec:

What a spectacle-- those older boys ogling their Dad as he lies like crazy-- this is sick!:furious:

They are already on Larry King!! Good grief!

There was one man when the balloon came down that was wearing a purple shirt that I sure would want in my corner if anything should ever happen to me unexpectedly! This man ran to that balloon and was risking his life for this little boy. What a hero!! If this family, pulled off what they think was the prank of the century, or these little brats pulled a boys, will be boys, stunt then didnt want to get in trouble and kept their mouth shut...The man in the purple shirt needs to be recognized for his courage and stamina in running out to that balloon like there was no tomorrow to rescue little Falcon not knowing if he was in there or not.

Quite right! The authorities worked in good faith, and really showed a lot of caring about this family. Sure, it seems like they might have searched the house a bit better, but the possibility he was hiding in the house was small potatoes compared to the work they had to do to save him from a balloon.

And that dude really did go all out. I am grateful he wasn't injured.

I'm AMAZED at peoples parenting skills. My husband and I aren't perfect parents but our children would NEVER get away with something like this. But then again, we wouldn't be building scientific balloons in our back yard then letting our children launch them from the roof unsupervised. There is SO many things wrong with this that it's honestly quite disgusting.

Congratulations Heene family..you got the media attention you so desperately craved. Now I hope that you issue your sincerest apologies to ALL the agencies who spent ALL day long searching and caring about your son.

I'm just appalled.

Yes - these kids make me realize there is a huge difference between "free spirit" and "feral."

I'm more traumatized than they are!

Those kids might be rascals, but they aren't practiced liars like their folks. jmo

The one child is so calm like his mom and the other two have absolutely no attention spans.

Asked for a comment from Falcon, the dufus Father asks him repeatedly if he wants to thank everyone for looking for him.

Hello? How about apologizing to everyone?

The older child in the red shirt knows they are in trouble...mo

I got home recently to discover that the child was recovered, having never been in the balloon. Perhaps this was a stunt or maybe sincerely a case of miscommunication..but as someone who was watching that balloon careening out of control over Colorado, I can't think of better end to this incident. Culpability should be held if the parents designed this in some way, but again, eight hours ago this is what everybody was hoping for. All JMHO:)

Looks like there may be some ADHD going on with a couple of those kids... Some Aspergers Syndrome too.. especially with the little one...JMO

Appalled?! You are about to know the meaning of the word, Mister! I cannot believe this guy-- I hope they are ready with the cuffs! :furious:

I don't know. The explanation about why Falcon said "we did this for the show" made sense to me if he was just talking about being on TV before. We'll see.

I cant watch this kid another second! :bang:

eta..busted just now?

If that was the case, the Dad would've asked the boy to explain why he said that. But when Wolf asked the boy to explain, the Dad wouldn't let him. Instead, the Dad got even more bizarre acting and became very self defensive and accused Wolf of saying it was for publicity!

IMO, the Dad exhibited many characteristics of a person on meth and/or coke, with all the lip smacking, lip licking, weird mouth movements, etc. Just sayin'.

Dad kind of fell apart at that point though, imo. He didn't pull it back together either-- I think their stunt is unraveling at the seams.

And yes, I agree, we will see, lol. I was so stressed out over this all day, I feel like I've been kicked in the gut!

These kids have to be exhausted and all this attention must be confusing. It sure sends the wrong message to me. The parents keep saying this was traumatic but here they are on TV being interviewed. If I had doubt about the parents before, this interview pretty much tells me their priorities are out of whack. Trying to teach a value lesson from this experience while lined up in a row for the camera is absurd.

No one can make you be on TV. If the media came calling, they could have said they wanted to have time to talk with their children about the day -- family time, not media time.
