If anyone is interested, Myth Busters is doing another experiment tomorrow, not sure what time, to see how many balloons it would take to lift a small child, lets say the size of Falcon. I remember seeing this before, but I think they're conducting their experiment around the Heene hoax. This should be interesting.

So, it looks like the attorneys for each of the Heene's are joining forces. A little diversion. so that once again the Heene's woun't have to be responsible for their actions.:

"In the letter, Lane claims the sheriff violated a law that all reports of child neglect be kept confidential, according to the newspaper.

Mayumi Heene's lawyer co-signed the letter."

"This is right out of Lane's playbook. He should be listed under 'attack attorney' instead of 'defense attorney,' " Alderden told the Coloradoan."

DENVER -- Richard and Mayumi Heene, the couple accused of perpetrating the balloon boy hoax to promote a reality TV show, are expected to enter guilty pleas Friday morning in Larimer County Court.

This is from a link in this article: http://www.larimersheriff.org/BullsEye/

What do Caesar Romero, Jack Nicholson, Heath Ledger and David Lane have in common?

High profile attorney David Lane first accused me of grandstanding as he was making the rounds of the newspapers, radio and television talk shows. David Lane accusing someone of grandstanding! What a Joker!

Then high profile attorney David Lane filed a complaint with the District Attorney asking that I be investigated for saying that the concerns about the welfare of his clients' children, as raised by the citizens and the media, were the purview of Social Services and would be referred to them...

So Mayumi is not a citizen. I think this is a slap on the hand.

The Heenes' attorneys said prosecutors have agreed to a sentence of probation with the possibility of up to 90 days in jail for Richard Heene and up to 60 days in jail for his wife.

If this is true :furious:

I can understand the mom thing but this dad needs to be kept away from those kids for a few years, AT LEAST!!! :furious:

"Lane said once the pleas are entered, court workers will conduct a “pre-sentence” evaluation, and the sentences will be formally handed down in about a month. He said a separate hearing will be scheduled to discuss restitution for the three-county search.

The costs for the search were at least $62,000, The Associated Press reported, citing state and local officials.

Larimer County sheriff’s spokeswoman Eloise Campanella told The Associated Press on Thursday that her agency spent about $40,000. Weld County sheriff’s spokeswoman Margie Martinez estimated her agency’s costs at $7,500, and the National Guard has said it spent $14,500 to launch two helicopters for the search."

8:30 am today court appearance for the Heenes

Just got a CNN breaking news alert:

-- 'Balloon boy' dad Richard Heene pleads guilty to felony charge of attempting to influence a public servant.

In the meantime, Lane said Richard Heene intends to seek employment with trips to New York and California and Mayumi Heene plans to accompany him. The judge adjusted their bond to allow them to do so, as long as they report to probation services within seven days.

Hmmm, any guesses on what type of work? Personally I think they should have to stay until the pay back every penny.

Flight risk? (no pun intended. Ok maybe a little.)

If they keep the kids back in Colorado let them go. I wouldn't want the whole family in a position to skeedattle. Maybe Falcon will blow that cover too.

"Ummm, you said...it was so we could get outta Dodge."

BTW, I wonder what Falcon has had to endure since his on air outing of the family. It really does concern me. If there isn't physical abuse I'm almost positive there is mental abuse.

I have the same feelings about the treat of Falcon, well all the kids really. I am hoping there is an investigation going by CPS behind the scenes.

(flight risk :D) Lol Steely!

LOL at the flight risk:dance:

Check out the pic of R & M Heene from today. Hmmm....something tells me Richard is still panning for the cameras.

I just witnessed an interview on HLN (10:35 AM CT) with the mother of the Richard Heene, father of Falcon. News clip states that Grandma thinks Heene is innocent and that this was not a stunt and she thinks he felt somehow pressured to plead guilty yesterday. He is a good son and a good family man.

BALOON BOY'S GRANDMA SPEAKS OUT
She wants the world to know, "I still firmly believe that this was not a hoax and that this was a mistake and regretably so because it involved so many people."

Another mother (of a grown man) with her head in the sand.

That partially explains why Heene is the way he is. Hopefully, someone, somewhere will teach the Heene children to be responsible for their actions.
