The offense time says 8/12 1am thru 8/15. She didn't get home until the weekend hours of 8/13. The babies were at a bday party Sunday evening, right?

Is this an error? A general period of time meant to encompass more than just the exact time? Is it supposed to specifically include "prep" time on CW's part?

Am I reading too much into it?

Apologies if this has already been discussed. I'm trying to concentrate on work at the same time. I can't get the poor babies and their mama out of my head.

Agree. When it’s not plausible for debate, it just results in refuting responses and lots of cluttering up the threads. It gets boring. I love ignore, but the apparent refutes come through w/o the ignored part. Easier to not take the bait. JMO!

A completely random poster speculated about it yesterday, then ran off (ie zero credibility ) and then suddenly it's here on this thread being reintroduced upthread. Frustrating, really.

Oh I completely agree with you. I posted the questions into response of the speculation. It really seems like a waste of time to just pull random thoughts out of the air and try to give them any validity.

I have a theory about one of the triggers of CW's homicidal rage. (A contributing factor.) MOO.

SW appears to have been a very high-energy person. Go, go, go! Lists! Organization. Motivation.

CW was described as "shy Chris." I bet he was lower energy.

As a low energy person myself, I find it completely exhausting to be around high energy people. And it is frustrating, because maybe you just want to do a whole lot of nothing (like hanging out on websleuths for hours at a time, for instance). But the high-energy wants to get stuff done---like NOW! Not tomorrow, not in a few minutes, drop everything you are doing and help me with this _____. Or give the kids a bath. (And it's like, "ugh, I just sat down and I'm writing this comment, can't you just leave me alone for ... ten minutes?? (sigh) Yes, this is a message board. It's people talking about crimes.)

So CW was alone at home for five weeks. His wife would text him and give him lists to make sure he stayed on top of things, but he could ignore her texts pretty easily when she is 1500 miles away.

And he got used to it. And he liked it.

And then she came back.

And she started in, "why didn't you do this? and why didn't you do that? Why didn't you eat all the meals I made for you? I can see dust on top of the refrigerator? Did you take the dog to the vet like I asked Why is there beer in the fridge??" And she wanted him to do the stuff again. And he didn't want to do the stuff right then. And geez, can we give it a rest just for a FEW MINUTES?!?!?!???

So three days later she goes on another business trip. But she makes sure to leave him a very detailed list of the things she wanted him to do. And grrrrrr....

And pretty soon it's. . . . . "HERE'S JOHNNY!!!"

Bingo. I think this rings true.

If he just did away with her, he'd be "stuck" with the kids -- fixing their food, cleaning their clothes, tend to them when they were sick, dressing them, hauling them around, entertaining them, reading to them, can't leave the house without them, cleaning the house, groceries, washing his own clothes, etc., etc., etc. Girlfriend may not want to help. Bummer. Nope, that won't do at all. Because it is all about ME. I want a do-over.

Thinking aloud here....I wonder if he did have plans for people checking in, but he wasn't able to finish the set-up for her absence because of the delayed flight??? IDK. It is weird to think nobody would notice she wasn't responding when she was in constant contact with people.

Definitely think the delay was the problem for him and an expectation he would have the evening to do extra clean-up and staging

I did an early scenario of how that delay played in back here, in 2 or 3 parts. ( It's not great but is what i was thinking in thread 9. )

Where has it ever been suggested Shanann suffered with depression ? I have not read anything to even remotely suggest this to be the case.

There's been nothing to suggest that she was abusing drugs or practicing voodoo and yet those have been suggested as fact as well. We used to have a good chance of getting verfied friends and family member of the victim to participate here. I am not surprised that there has only been one and now they seem spooked off. That's not the case everywhere.

IMO, I wonder if her comment about the girls having each other's backs meant that neither of them would admit doing it, and/or neither of her girls was trying to place blame on the other.
Opens up a whole can of ironies, maybe. Or maybe they both denied it because someone else did it, and they promised not to tell?
Obviously, it's a reach with the limited info we have to work with, and sometimes a doll posed to look like a dead person in the morgue is innocent child's play.

I already posted my theory on this a couple of times, so I won't do it again.

I would really like to know, are we sure that CW sent SW this picture? SW could have taken the picture before she left on her work trip, and just posted it at that time. I know that I hold onto pics for weeks before posting, sometimes.

Does anyone have confirmation on this?

I have a feeling we will find out the girls where deceased prior to SW. And I don't think it will be by 20 minutes but much longer gap and I hope that makes CW defense fall apart even more.

I believe the dates relate to evidence known at time affidavit written. There's evidence that SW was still alive up to 8/13 at 1:48Am as seen on video entering her home, whereas no evidence on the children hence earlier date 8/12+. MOO

Late Edit: just read latest filing and 8/15 is actually the arrest date but document compressed and easy to overlook.

I don’t think that she posted it as anything more than a “look at what my weirdo kids did” funny post. I feel like every parent I know posts things of that nature all the time. In retrospect it looks very ominous but IMO, it’s just not.

Along the same lines as the whole doll issue...I suppose it is a remote possibility that the girls DID do it (even though I still say the doll and “head” were arranged much too perfectly, IMHO) and that the dad hatched his evil idea after seeing the photo.

I too think the girls were deceased before SW, hence his story as to why he then killed her. All were killed by strangulation per CW and I think that's damning to him too...all murders done in the same way.
