His attorneys are young, good looking and seem knowledgeable. The kind of guys a jury might like. Basically the total opposite of the attorneys for CA and JA. CW looks quiet and meek, like he couldn't hurt a fly! I think trial will be hell.

You know, while watching his attorneys today, I felt a little sorry for them. They have a job to do, and everyone can appreciate that. However, I would imagine if they could do what they would like, they'd turn around and strangle him. They probably have children of their own, and it must be hard on them...even though they can never voice an opinion. JMO, MOO.

My apologies if this has already been answered but does anyone know why CWs employer Anadarko terminated him before he was arrested? Did they perhaps see something on surveillance videos?

I do think that his firing was related to the murders and disposing of bodies on Anadarko property. The affidavit states that they were looking at the Anadarko site BEFORE CW confessed and that Anadarko consented to that search. Reading between the lines, I think that Anadarko also provided locations that CW accessed (likely through a badge security system) before he left work to meet the police. Once the drone saw the sheet, I'm pretty sure they were preparing to fire him.

True. But in this day and age most women are going to immediately begin researching any potential mate on social media. It was clear that he had a pregnant wife and gushed about her husband.

I don't know about any of you but I couldn't date anyone who had a pregnant spouse, separated or not.

He is not wasting away physically. He is a very strong muscular guy at this time. His charging documents state he is 5'10" and 225lbs. That is quite heavy for a person of his height. Given that his body is slim, this means he is very muscular.

There are some things that can be done for them. There is a fund set up by a friend Lauren for their expenses associated with coming out here to ensure justice and while they are grieving too much to work. Even five bucks I think is helpful when you add it all up

I also think supporting LE and the district attorney is helpful. And sending cards or personal messages to the family. They've said they read each one and it has helped.

They've also asked for prayers. Those who believe can do that for them as well.

Thank you for this, G. All good choices. The cost to her family will probably be out of their range without support. And to have to work at this time .. I couldn't do it. May they remain strong and keep their faith.

While I do not believe his story, I don't understand the rush to demonize the "bad" person and put the "good" person on a pedestal. It is a sad fact the mothers who appear to be loving kill their children - and having been told your husband is leaving you could be a trigger for such a monstrous act. Killing your wife in a rage after she has hurt your children isn't all that far fetched either.

I think it is helpful to keep an open mind and let the facts play out without a bunch of wild speculation. Some are saying his Dad must have coached him to make up this story, but isn't it just as plausible that he spoke to his dad before confessing so that he could tell him what happened (be it a lie or truth) instead of letting him find out from the police? If you demonize him I guess it isn't possible to see another side to every action or word, but not all killers are ugly and not all pretty moms are saints.

I have no problem demonizing or "othering" this monster or whatever other term people dislike.

Yes. Humans are complex. They are almost never black and white. But no normal human does something like this. He is demonic. He is evil. Even if he did good things in life. It's all wiped out by this atrocity and his filthy, heart breaking lies afterwards.

As to his victim-spouse, no one is perfect. But this is a victim-friendly site. We are not to insinuate his nasty lies are in any way true. In any event, any human with the ability to think rationally would know his ghastly story could not be remotely true. It defies logic. And it's hateful.

My theory is at this time they knew about the affair, and it was against company policy, and that is the reason he was fired. It had nothing to do with the murder in my opinion.

I don't think he was at work, I expect he was on leave, so he wasn't called in to be fired and escorted off the premises. So there would be no urgency to prepare the documents, like in 5 minutes or something, they aren't timestamped, they can be backdated, if an employee is on leave, the termination can be effective yesterday. Regardless, they weren't going to keep him on as an employee once the bodies were found.

If there had been evidence his wife and children had been abducted, and no evidence he'd had anything to do with it, would they have on the spot fired him for having an affair at work, right in the midst of a nightmare? Probably he would have stayed on leave while the situation unfolded, they don't have to rush into a firing if they don't want to.

I agree with you ....I watched a presentation that he gave to a group about " personal relationships " in 2012 on line yesterday, compared to the way that he looked then and now, he is unrecognizable....Even a couple of years ago he looked totally different than he does now....He has aged rapidly, why? From his pictures he seems to have lost a lot of weight and bulked up in recent months/years, he is getting gray rapidly.....Did all of these changes come about because of his failing marriage, financial stress, Thrive Patches ? I keep coming back to the Thrive Patches that he has on in many of the pictures of him on SM....What are the ingredients in these patches? Lots of caffeine I would imagine but what else? Steroids? Unregulated Herbs? Does the LeVel Co list the ingredients in these patches, drinks and pills? Does LeVel provide warnings regarding these ingredients? Are any of these ingredients regulated by the FDA? Could these patches have played a role in this tragedy?

It is my hope that CW's attorneys have these patches tested...I keep harping on these Thrive Patches but they scare me....I don't want a tragedy like this to happen to another family ...

As sad as this story is , my heart aches for the loss of these four people.....He did a horrible , unforgivable thing in taking these lives but I cannot help but feel a twinge of sympathy for him ....Look at him , something has happened not only physically but psychologically as well , he looks gaunt, aged rapidly , almost emaciated ....Could he have a brain tumor ?

I was awakened several times last night thinking about what SW's last moments must have been like....And the innocent children's lives lost forever......I can only hope that SW never knew that her children were dead....

Lots of people take that junk. First murder I've heard of. Bottom line is if a substance caused someone to become psychotic they don't calmly stand on their porch and lie about what happened and attempt to stoically cover it up, a day later.

This man is as sane as can be. He was in control. He knew what he was doing. He wanted to get away with it. He doesn't care about what he did.

Look at Andrea Yates for a clear example of psychosis. No attempt at cover up and she is still pretty insane.

He is a classic family annihilator. The Twinkie defense won't work here.

I really do not believe this was posted in MSM.... perhaps a FB speculation? I think we need to put this to rest for the time-being. All reports I have read say media does now know a reason for the termination.

FTR I have approached this case as academically and analytically as possible, posting msm in the media thread and focusing on the psychological aspects of FAs, etc (see various articles I posted), even mentioning previously I was wanting to avoid an emotional connection. Yesterday was hard to see his defense approach to victim blame and today it was especially hard to see her father like that. Please also realize this case is local to me. I agree though. Raises hand, guilty as charged, Im definitely demonizing him and not ashamed to admit it. Yes mothers kill their children. We see that all the time here. If that were the case he could’ve called the cops, etc and the evidence would reveal he was trying to protect his children.

I try to keep an "open mind" until I hear the "alleged" killer's side. After hearing CW's side there's no doubt in my mind that he's guilty. Plus there's been plenty of cases where the mom or the father kills the children because they have become a "disposable burden". But can anyone recall a case where a father and mother both committed murder on the same night? Has there been anything like CW is saying happened in recent history? BOTH parents get murderous on the same night?
