I am still shocked that police went to the house so soon. Wonder if the friend had a friend that was a cop? Just seems odd that police would rush to the house because a friend can’t get ahold of her friend.
You are stretching DAdvocate with the cop scenerio. Why would you be shocked that police went to the house so quickly?
Simply stated, NU-A opened the front door but it was latched from inside, SW's car was still in the garage with car seats and knowing that SW had medical issues, NU contacted the police certain SW was inside and needed emergency medical care.
NU also knew about marital issues and SW likely shared more then we are aware of with NU. Once it was established no one was in the home despite home being locked from inside and the car in garage, plus SW's phone, keys and purse still inside the home NU told the police what she was aware of with respect to SW's marriage.

Nervous reactions come out in various ways in interviews. When I prepped people for media interviews in a previous job, I would ask them about various scenarios. The nervous ones would smile while talking about a serious topic. They wouldn't know they were smiling until I showed them the video in replay.
I agree. I have a nervous laughter, my whole family does, it used to drive my Dad crazy. I can't imagine killing my spouse, he admitted he killed her, and not be traumatized. I can't imagine not be traumatized by killing any human. I can't imagine laughing, but if I did, I'm pretty sure people would still see the grief and sheer devastation of my having killed someone. It would be written on my face and my body language. CW just doesn't have any reaction. The smiling, laughing was his only reaction. The ONLY reaction, and at that time he knew his babies were dead.

We still don’t know how the friend knew she missed the appointment do we? I haven’t seen it reported that the friend was suppose to take her. How could she legally know she missed it?
It is plausible that SW and her daughters were going to join NU for SW's medical appointment or just before medical appointment but SW did not arrive. Not too complicated a scenario to imagine.

You are right. He should have called the police after her alleged actions and not killed her. But Clearly he had lost all control at that point and the ability to think rationally.
Not clear to me. Lost all control? It seems to me the first thing a caring father would do when encountering his hurt children would be to push his wife aside and check the children! Not strangle the assailant! Most parents put their children first! In my experience. 2 murderers in one family are beyond belief.

It was more than just 'can't get a hold of a friend.'

She called them because SW had issues with low blood pressure the night before, and was weak. She was pregnant, had lupus, and had missed a doctors appointment. But her car was in the garage, and she wasn't answering the door or her cell. And she has 2 small girls in her care, and they weren't in school.

What's odd about police doing a well check under those circumstances?

I was wondering about that as well, I read somewhere that their HOA was $52 a month, they were being sued for a little over $1500...which means that the dues were about 2.5 years behind...when was the BK discharged? I wonder if this was a delinquent amount that was supposed to be included in the BK but was over looked by the trustee hence them being responsible now because it was never included...Just speculation....

That is a great point. Though I assume the $1500-ish included court fees, lawyer fees, penalties, etc.

IMO he told them because they found the sheet right nearby (with the drone) and told him so. He was done, at that point, and he came up with his desperate crazy story about his wife being the culprit. He had to play the part of a father who would care about burying his kids and they manipulated him into messing up since the already had so many pieces of the puzzle. Listen again to his interview still claiming he hoped they were all safe and so on. Not a tear. He knows his children are dead. No even a flinch. His story is nonsense. IMO.

It made me laugh when I read that he left one sheet in the field and threw the others away in his own trash. These weren’t even the sheets stripped from the bed, right? Those were in a pile. Why’d he throw the rest of this set away?

It’s like he’s Martha Stewart and just cannot keep the sheets if there isn’t a full set.

Long time lurker, first time poster, (I am generally an observer and not much of a talker). Not sure about the area where this occurred, but here, cops will come very quickly for any type of call, as in approximately 2 minutes for any call. I live near the rural area where the Sierhan Joughin case occurred (which brought here to this site). If I called the police for ANYTHING - dog poop, car parked across a sidewalk, domestic disturbance, noise, anything - they would be here VERY fast! I have had to call, and the response time is wicked fast.

I believe if his story is true, having just seen your two daughters killed, his rage would have been with her, likely not even remembering at that moment that she was pregnant.
But he remembered to throw his daughters in an oil tank to be hidden/destroyed. He can't pretend to be a loving father, supposedly that's why he killed his wife, and then throw his children away like they were nothing.

Per the HOA business....I went two years refusing to pay my old HOA fees. It's a very long story and I've since moved out of that neighborhood, but if I were to have died during that time period, it would appear on paper that I owed my HOA a significant fee (me and about 540 other homes in the 'hood). Perhaps both of them thought the HOA wasn't using the fee for the right reasons or someone had been caught stealing or any other billions of reasons people refuse to pay...common area grass is being ignored...whatever.

I don't think being behind on the HOA fees has any significance what-so-ever. Scrubbing your social media a few days before this all goes down is a HUGE red flag for me. HUGE.

If you haven’t been put in that situation before, you don’t really know how you would react IMO.

This entire thread is devastating, as is Mollie's.
I am so upset, and cannot imagine how their families feel.
It appears Justice, Prison is not stopping these evil creeps.
Crime is everywhere, and just part of society and our lives.
Innocent victims that are lost forever: only memories remain.
Must take my dog for a walk, and try to think pleasant thoughts.

An innocent person's first instinct is to preserve life and if SW was doing as you suggest to their daughter's, then he would have made different choices. I don't doubt CW lost all control and his ability to think rationally when he murdered his entire family.

DAdvocate said:
Or it could have been a "We're losing the house, I'm leaving with someone else" conversation and she snapped.

DAdvocate, I don't doubt that CW told SW prior to that last night that they were losing the house (which she undoubtedly already knew) and that he was leaving her for someone else (which she undoubtedly already knew) and instead of SW snapping, it was CW who snapped and proceeded to kill her because he hated her that much for keeping him from his mistress and from his freedom to live the life that he wanted without responsibilities, debt, Thrive, pending pregnancy and two young children plus SW had a successful business and was moving forward despite CW.

Is there a link saying they were losing the house?

Hummmmmm......

It was more than just 'can't get a hold of a friend.'

She called them because SW had passed out briefly the night before, and was weak. She was pregnant, had lupus, and had missed a doctors appointment. But her car was in the garage, and she wasn't answering the door or her cell. And she has 2 small girls in her care, and they weren't in school.

I missed the report of her passing out. Seems she maybe had things going on and wasn’t herself. IMO

DAdvocate CW does not look tired he is practically smiling in the interview! He looks refreshed and giddy!

In the new video his eyes look more tired.

I doubt he ever watched Nancy Grace or Court TV.
