UPDATE in the #BarryMorphew case:

-Extra day added to trial for jury selection, will now start on April 28th. -They'll send out 1,000 summons to people in Fremont county with a 120 count backup summons. -First two days will be jury questionnaires.

-#BarryMorphew attorneys say they're still requesting the trial to be dismissed. -Something brought up today.. a statement allegedly made by Agent Cahill saying Barry's arrest was "premature." -It's likely this will be discussed in the hearing March 4th.

-Prosecution showed up 30 minutes late to the hearing this morning.
-Defense says prosecutors continue to miss deadlines and have excuses for things.
-Judge says prosecutors have no excuse for turning in documents late or having shown up late.

Next hearing is set for March 4th.
Like I said some CBI agents are expected to testify. Defense also says they plan to call members of CCSO. I'll be in the courtroom that day and will update as allowed.

Nice going, Cahill. Maybe he didn't get the memo about how Barry was getting ready to flee. Or does he have his own reasons. Why say that after the fact, presumably in a memo? Where did they find he'd said that?

The first hearing to be held in Fremont County was on February 10 and it was scheduled for 9:30.
Today’s was at 9:00.

No excuse but I’m just saying.

If we had live-tweeting we’d probably know what reason they gave the Judge. Grrrrr!
