This makes my head spin. Why... would God... make it so...I would have to... invent explanations ... for things... I didn't know were even discoverable?

And that's ironic to him?

He has about a third grade grasp of God, far as I can tell. Fundamental in that God is the author of all things.... and so.... whatever Barry does, God authors that? He must have been skinning raccoons the day sin and free will were discussed....

Barry, you sinned by your own hand, thwarting Suzanne's free will to live.

God didn't shoot a single chipmunk that day.

And neither did you.

Away from all human decency, you took a hard left.

As a Christian, listening to Barry Morphew talk about God and his understanding of Christianity tells me he is 100% not a Christian. On any level other than "cultural", and comes from a family of church-goers.

It'd be the same if a banker were listening to him describe finance, like a 7 year old at the lemonade stand.
Or a brain surgeon listening to him describe the procedure, as if he were playing the Operation game.
It's blatantly obvious. One of those "if you know, you know" sort of things.

I haven't followed closely here since the charges were dropped but never did follow on social media so I never saw that. I guess I'm torn between Barry needing to be in completely control over everything (which eliminates any possible accessory) and Barry using someone to do such a thing, to give himself an out. I can see both options but since no one else was ever charged, I think I lean more toward him doing this all by himself.
I also think he did this on his own and in his mind, he thinks it's all Suzanne's fault. No way will he ever give info about what happened or where her body is because no way will he ever take blame for what is Suzanne's fault.

He's still mad that drugs (chemo/pain meds) and alcohol (the juice of every wino --IPAs) clouded Suzanne's judgment, preventing her from showering him with blind adoration and on-demand lovingness.

Is someone going to break it to him? That the cancer paired with his behavior brought her some real clarity and that, being fully of sound mind, she rejected him, his abuse, his narrative, their facade and wanted a full life, independent of him?

Oh, Suzanne....

I think it’s very unlikely he left her body in a dumpster in Brookfield on a Mother’s Day Sunday morning,
during Covid, in broad daylight. Too much risk. Who knew when that dumpster was going to be emptied or who else might happen by in that very public parking lot. Iirc the MWH dumpster was not in alley behind the center but rather it sat right next to the store and was very visible to passersby.

I also don’t think anyone helped him dispose of her. It was all on him. Barry knew he had plenty of time at the house. An isolated house with lots of privacy with no one stopping by. He spent time going through her things – her bible, her Alanon journal and who knows what other of her personal effects. He sat in front of the fire drinking her IPA's and burning things. LE found beer bottles with his dna on them in the neighborhood dumpster. Was he looking for more confirmation from his “God” that he had done the right thing? Hoping to find love letters from her affair?

He left Suzanne’s body somewhere along the way after he took that left turn. Maybe put her in an abandoned mine, maybe in a pre-determined “hidey hole”. It seems clear that he was intent on getting rid of the body first.
The body in one place, the bike previously staged, the helmet tossed, and then the rest of the evidence discarded on the way to Broomfield and then in dumpsters once there. I believe Morgan G definitely heard his truck engine outside her apartment. She knew the sound and he knew that area well from oftentimes picking her up for work. He knew the layout of where those dumpsters were. He spread all the evidence out, much like that other wife killer, back in Connecticut, Fotis Dulos.

The difference in evidence collected -BM vs Dulos - is that LE jumped on the husband connection immediately with Fotis. With BM, LE IMO ,was not quick enough to jump on the Broomfield connection. Contrary to Iris's assertion, Barry was not targeted soon enough.
JUST IMO

IMO, BM will take SM's location with him to his grave. However, if you go back to the earlier threads, some adopted the theory that BM did not know SM's location because an unnamed party (an accessory) was responsible for her disposal. I think this theory was popular on FB. MOO
I have thought that as speculation also and expressed it long ago here and not so far-fetched considering all the speculative ideas. What better way to say you don't know where she is then to not know where she is. Doesn't mean anything related to the murder with the exception of help at the end.

He said that in his semi-confession to Grusing

It was God's way of protecting the girls.

And that's ironic to him?

I feel like this is an significant insight into his internal dialogue, because he goes so far as to repeat the statement, but inserts the word 'ironic' - and I think he is saying "the stuff" is ironic to him.

I can't quite pinpoint why it bothers me so much, but these are my thoughts

People use the term loosely, and i think he is using it like"funny" in a dark way.

I think also it is ironic compared to something he doesn't tell us.

So he's kind of saying "funny it was that stuff that gave me away". But why is that 'ironic"

Is it because those things didn't actually happen?

Or because he saw no risk from his phone location on those things but had been careful about his phone forensics otherwise?

Yes, it's never BM's (sarcasm) fault. It's always someone else's fault. The agony of defeat Suzanne must have had to live with him all those years. Unfathomable to think about. Most likely the DD understand how he is and don't cross the line with him. It's better to remain silent and agree on all matters. MOO. Speculation.

Good on Fox21 for following up -- not that it will help LS and the 11th District's reputation, given the damage constantly reinforced by MSM for 20+ months!

Also, IMO, LS will likely win the appeal on the Tippet case where Judge Turner reduced the murder charges for the confessed murderer from first-degree murder to second-degree as a sanction for discovery violations EXCEPT Turner made this discretionary ruling in April 2023 --even before the preliminary hearing held! Naturally, this fact was grossly underreported. (Tippet was arrested and charged on 1/18/2023 and 3/29/2023 -- defense had 85% of discovery).

What better way for Turner to be re-elected as an 11th Judicial District Court Judge than by touting how she worked to take down that...[fill-in-the-blank] DA Stanley?!

Noting Turner was a political placement for both District Attorney and Judge when the former for each position left office midterm. Turner was also defeated by Stanley when she ran to hold on to her appointed position as the 11th Judicial District DA. See Media Only thread for links.

And I really dislike politics! MOO

From the article “Stanley concluded the conversation with how she is proud of what her office is doing, including the implementation of a Critical Incident Response Team, and the impanelment of the 11th Judicial District’s first grand jury, which should be in place within the next month. She is hoping the focus around her office can shift away from the accusations against her.”
Linda says a grand jury will be in place in the next month … I assume this for a specific case ??? Imo

Stanley says it has been difficult to remain silent through the allegations, and not stand up for her office, which she says, is overworked and underpaid.

“I stand up for people all the time, every day. So, me not being able to stand up for myself was difficult,” said Stanley. “As of right now, the office is majorly underfunded… If one person quits, it will set back everything, and that’s the kind of shoestring budget it is at this point… But we have nothing but very, very experienced prosecutors in this office, and I’m so proud of that.”

“I was raised by a marine and I am a super, super strong person. I fight for justice and fairness every day and always have… But being accused of things that you didn’t do… to have that happen to me was difficult for me to deal with,” said Stanley.

Wow -- the best news we've heard in more than a year!! :D

This?

IMO, this idea of an accomplice was popular on social media/FB-- without any basis to allege BM had an accomplice to disappear SM, when it also first surfaced here.

IMO, there's still no reasonable basis for this theory, and might as well allege that BM was assisted by the dark glasses and turtleneck-wearing Ninjas in Iowa, as described by Mollie Tibbets killer. (Mollie was missing/murdered on July 19, 2018, and her body was recovered from a corn field on Aug 21, 2018).

Below is a Prosecutors response, to a motion to dismiss in the Quinton Simon case. I had to bring it here, as it reminded me of what actually happened in Suzanne's case

"Granting the Defendant's special demurrer would be tantamount to telling the Defendant and other would-be murderers: Get rid of the body entirely - or do a good enough job trying - and the Court will reward your cunning and depravity by declaring you beyond the reach of prosecution for murder," Dean wrote.
