BM to TD:

06:32
well it was mother's day
we uh, we had two daughters that were coming, home from the trip, and i got a job in denver that i wanted to get started on, on sunday, set it up for my work because my workers are coming in sunday night

BM to AM:

6:35
(BM) I got up, Mother's Day morning, 5am, your sister was laying there asleep, I got dressed, I left for work.
(AM) I said what work?
(BM) He said I had a job (I believe it was Colorado Springs), where he was building a wall, and they did it last fall, but part of the wall was crooked, it wasn't up to standard, so he had to go back in there, take it out and re-do it. And he said I was going there to set that job site up in the hotel, put the tools in the hotel, so that my crew could show up there the next day and we could start rebuilding that wall.

Mmhmm...
Catching up but skipped to the last page on the new thread.
So, now we know there was a hotel room with an excuse of storing tools. mmmmm. We (own a construction company) rent a storage bin to store tools. Most companies I know do this and it's cheaper than a hotel room.
I'll bet there are cameras at the entrances of the hotel, parking and maybe the hallways.
LE knows what's up imo.

I must have missed something.
I've seen a few references to a "glass" wall but I don't recall AM saying that.
Just "a wall". Have I missed some info?

I edited my post ... I listened again to AM and didn't hear anything about what kind of wall. Not sure where, when, how, or why the descriptor entered my head.

Crooked wall.

Good catch. He couldn't even keep it straight if his employees were coming in Sunday night or the next day.

That is a good catch and notice how the "re-do" of work sounds awful similar to the problems they had with the Salida job where something was not up to code and he had to fix it in the Salida site.

It sounds like he may be merging together some stories. JMO

At the very least this new info puts to rest the theory that BM was a successful businessman in his own right and didn't need Suzannes money.
Imagine running a business where your employee messes up a project so badly that you fire him on the spot but it takes you an entire YEAR to correct the job.
Charlatan comes to mind...and of course it's an alibi.

It's odd because my brain heard "retaining wall" and that's not what he said either.
I think I just assumed, since he's in landscaping. I had to edit my post as well.

For some reason, I have become a little obsessed with this case. I think about Suzanne several times a day. (I’m sure all of us on the thread are.) Something’s been bugging me. I preface it by saying a great big “ALLEGEDLY”.
WHY would Barry (allegedly) risk taking Suzanne very far on the way to Denver? I mean, he’s in a fairly isolated location at their house. WHY would you risk the possibilities of a random blown tire, a random LE stop, having a truck wreck (you can’t control other drivers or animals), etc with a body in your vehicle? It seems smarter to do whatever he did there around their home or an isolated area not visible to any others. JMOO IMOO MOO!

Also, are we allowed to discuss “Profiling Evil’s” video from last night (AFTER their live one), with Chris (Mike had to step away to attend to something, so he wasn’t there) speaking with Suzanne’s brother? Suzanne’s brother made a statement that I hadn’t heard yet. It’s SUPER nagging at me, and SUPER weird on Barry’s part. I apologize if it’s already been mentioned.

*I will alert on this post in case that’s not ok, before I discuss it further.*

Perhaps if and when he took SM with him she was alive.
I don't really think that, but it's a consideration.

i believe you WOULDN'T risk any of that. she's closer to home than we've imagined all this time, i'd bet the house on it.

Driveways, boulder retaining walls, excavations for septic tank, I had all levels of construction people on my land, those are 3 of the easiest jobs where you don't have to hang out all day watching what they do. No way would the owner of the poorly constructed wall wait a year for a repair. I don't know what kind of wall it was, but I doubt the whole story anyway so what the hey.
There was probably a gold mine for le if they found the hotel, the employees, etc.

Salida to Crested Butte is 1hr 48 mins. So a round trip would be 3hr 40 mins. If you factor in perhaps 1 more hour to hike & dispose of a body, that is right at 5 hours.

So if someone was at a job site in Salida running machinery from 11:30pm - Midnight, that little excursion would have them back home at, you guessed it, 5am.

Then it’s 2 hours from home to Colorado Springs.

Kind of interesting to be 2 hours away, find out your wife is missing and then take over 3 hours to get home.

In one of the IG photos of Suzanne, she is wearing a Crested Butte hoodie. I wonder if this is an area that they had visited and that BM was familiar with?

Hmm. If it turned out to be a retaining wall he was fixing, and if it was not in an easily viewed area, maybe le should check the repaired area, or area supposed to be repaired. That would be something if he actually repaired the wall himself by Sunday afternoon, alone. Buried in a wall? Maybe he made reservations for the night of Saturday, and arriving in the very early morning of Sunday would go unnoticed.

Husband of missing Suzanne Morphew refused polygraph test; truck data doesn’t line up with alibi, family member says

Aug 11, 2020

Relatives of missing Colorado mother Suzanne Morphew are concerned that Suzanne’s husband Barry Morphew might know more than he is telling investigators, according to a new report.

A relative of Suzanne’s spoke to Fox 21 News about the ongoing investigation into Suzanne’s disappearance three months ago. The Indiana native, who had moved to Chaffee County, Colorado, with her family in recent years, was reported missing on Mother’s Day when she did not return from an apparent bike ride that morning — a bike ride that authorities have never confirmed, though non-police sources said early in the investigation that Suzanne’s bike had been found.

The family member, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, told the news station that Barry Morphew had twice refused a polygraph test, and claimed that data from his pickup truck did not match what he had told investigators.
[..]

Authorities in Chafee County have not commented publicly on Barry Morphew’s whereabouts on the weekend Suzanne went missing. Earlier in the investigation, there were conflicting reports about where Suzanne’s husband was on Mother’s Day weekend, when the couple’s two daughters were reportedly out of town.

Initially, a source reportedly said that Barry was at a firefighter training workshop. The Chaffee County Fire Chief told CrimeOnline this spring that he was unaware of any firefighter trainings sponsored by his department that weekend. He said he believed Barry had been working at a landscaping job in Denver when his wife went missing. According to the Fox 21 News report, that’s also what Barry told family about his whereabouts the weekend Suzanne disappeared.
[..]

The Fox 21 News report does not elaborate on how the data from Barry’s truck purportedly conflicts with what he told police. CrimeOnline has requested further specifics about a “critical analysis” test that Barry declined, according to the relative’s account.

In May, CrimeOnline spoke to a relative of Suzanne’s, who requested anonymity. That relative said that Suzanne’s extended family was “in the dark” about the missing persons investigation. They also said that while Suzanne and Barry seemed like a happy couple, “sometimes we don’t know people as well as we think we do.”
Quick question - was it ever stated when the CBI traveled to Indiana to question family and friends of SM & BM?

I think this came out from the PE guys - around August 10 or so they relayed information regarding the truck data not matching up
