I'm half way to Salida, stopping to rest for the night. I teeter between annoyed and determined. Annoyed that me, my hound and my husband would drive 16 hours, pay for a week of lodging and food to help a stranger find something to bring the family peace; peppered with being annoyed that the proven horrible husband and father cannot be bothered to do anything remotely close. As a matter of fact, he's buying property, cars, dirt bikes (speculation), condos and out elk hunting. At the very least he should be everywhere and ecstatic that so many strangers would come together to help his family.

I hope we find some closure for the family, I also hope we find the missing link for an arrest and later a conviction of the terrible party(ies) responsible for taking this beautiful life.

I LOVE you, your husband and your dog! Thank you so much. You are the reason I still have faith in humanity.

There are no traffic cameras on the eastern slope of Monarch Pass below CR 225. It is my understanding that there is one weather cam, but covers a wide angle and is not intended to film traffic. There are several very good traffic cameras on US Highway 285, from Poncha Springs to Hampden Avenue in southwest Denver. Here is a listing. When a description is repeated, that represents a second, third or fourth camera at that location:

If each location were counted as one camera, there would be ten cameras. The odds are great that at least 40% would catch a single vehicle at the moment it passed through the camera vision........thus a minimum of four camera shots should have been available to LE document the trip, under the worst conditions. Of course, the weather and road conditions for Mother's Day weekend were ideal for camera viewing, so there could be many more.

i'd love to know what is going on in the mind of a man that would go on the record, with the world watching, and claim that his brother-in- law is trying to gain something by searching for his sister, and HIS wife of 28 years. why would he be so disrespectful to the 100's of generous humans, volunteering their time, energy, and health to help find suzanne, when he knows fully well the public is doubting him? wouldn't you attempt to look innocent if you were able to think clearly? instead, everything that comes out of his mouth is anger-fueled! why is he mad that people want resolve for his beloved wife? especially if she got eaten by a damn mountain lion? make it make sense!

hell, i'm gonna need a psychologist after this case is over with! (jk). i feel so terrible for suzanne and what she had to deal with, with this dude, for so many years. surely, it wasn't always bad, but if this is his true character we are seeing emerge, then surely she knew this side of him really well.

I agree with others who’ve opined that BM didn’t think Suzanne’s disappearance would garner this much attention. Yeah, I think he is that arrogant he thought everyone would buy his narrative, that Suzanne would be forgotten about and he’d just move on with his life as he pleases. Of course that didn’t happen, and he’s mad that most aren’t buying what he’s selling and that people actually do care about Suzanne and want to know what happened to her/find her.

I mean, to me, it’s pretty obvious he’s fuming that things didn’t go as he thought they would as most of his public comments to date whether bashing all LE agencies involved, as well as his workers, defending himself, and now bashing his own BIL AM claiming his search is being done as a publicity stunt, all seem to just ooze anger and resentment, which is very telling.

If BM had nothing to do with SM disappearance, why hasn’t he organized any public searches asking for volunteers, screaming Suzanne’s name from the rooftops, passing out flyers, working with LE, thanking them and others especially his own BIL, for caring and putting forth great efforts to help find Suzanne. Instead he’s waiting for an invitation to go search for his “only love of my life” missing wife of 26 years?!?! Nope, does not compute!

If LE did indeed allow unnecessary trot-through along the road, shoulder and down the hill where the bike was discovered then shame on LE. If the bike was not properly handled as evidence then shame on LE. If it happened the way BM describes in TD's video (which I just watched, again) then shame on LE. They would have, indeed, screwed up potential evidence.

How long is video saved?

That's an excellent question, which does not have an easy answer. The Colorado Department of Transportation makes no guarantee that it saves any camera information at all. It is widely known that cameras are not all of the same vintage, and outdoor webcams are subject to unpredictable outages. A quick review of the website that I cited reveals that there is a wide variation in clarity of view, which would tend to support an assumption that the camera dependability varies, as well. I think they are all digital, which would seem to dictate a minimum of at least seven days worth of retained video for any of them, in my opinion. The newer cameras would certainly be much longer.
The tremendous advantage factor in this case is that LE seems to have suspected BM even before he finished his alibi trip, and LE seems to have had no resistance in getting the proper warrants signed, so camera memory expiration should not have occurred. IMO

His biggest mistake though was staging it as a bike ride. You have a low risk victim riding a bike in a well-to-do low crime area, and she’s apparently abducted in broad daylight.
