Well, we don't know if LE has started searching the new area of interest yet. They may be waiting for a warrant.

There really is no wait on warrants. If police have a reason the judge will sign immediately.

Yeah, I agree with you. I think there was a very bad fight and BM lost control of himself. The end result was Suzanne's death. He probably was scared to call LE so he hid her. Then again, the news that Suzanne belonged to abuse meetings or something similar bothers me. He could have found out about that and was probably seething. We need more information, but will probably never get it.

I think we will, if this goes to trial.

LE told us they received new leads, and that they're following up on those leads.
What more do people think the public is entitled to know right now?

Because I'll tell you what more the public is entitled to know right now:
Nothing.
Not one single, solitary, blessed thing.

LE's obligation is to Suzanne. Their mandate is to ensure justice for Suzanne.
They're not going to do, or say, anything that would jeopardize that outcome.
There are legal ramifications for every word LE utters, and every step LE takes at this point.
They are not going to risk making any misstep, including inadvertently putting the proverbial foot in mouth.

There's also a bad actor who's still out roaming around a free man.

Why would LE update him on their progress?

While it is not very useful now, here is a Google Earth Aerial shot showing the location of the property where the DM reported the dog hit in a red square, and the lot where the brown dark building in the background of the DM photo is located. The spot where AM is seen photographing rocks appears along the short common liner between them, which will eventually be Longhorn Drive. The large circles are center pivot irrigation systems. IMO

This view was produced entirely in Google Earth Pro, using the shape placing function placing it on property corner posts and fence lines clearly visible in Google Earth closeup and located from information on the Chaffee County Property search site.
From the link, answer both disclaimers and proceed to Search. Enter "Morphew" in the property owner selection as take the first listing that returns. When the information appears, click on "Map" in the left side of the blue header bar. You can zoom out and back in and toggle to other properties. If you click on the property that appears just left of the word "Longhorn", that is the lot with the brown building.

It is a crop field, circular for the rolling irrigation pipe that goes around like a hand on a clock, but the area is included in the the subdivision plan map because it is a also flood plain - it's marked RJIR, a requirement when seeking plan approval.

Thank you for posting this! When I looked at the terrain satellite view, you can see the big mounds of dirt on the lots next to BM’s lot. Maybe lots 9 & 10. They look very much like the mounds in the DM article where the dogs were searching. My guess is that this satellite image was taken in the early spring, as it’s hard to see much grass or vegetation. MOO, the off leash HR dogs followed their noses to that area. This might be the cause of AM saying he unwittingly wandered onto neighboring property.

Replying to my own post, but here is a satellite photo of BM’s Longhorn land. His lot is #8. The mounds of dirt/rock are on the neighboring lots. This might be what we see in the HR dog pics.
