Yes. But if I had a cell phone that no one knew about, it would be hard to track down.

There’s also the dna issue, ballistics etc. They could be waiting on lots of things still.

I noticed that each of DN’s cases on mycase.in.gov have “disposition error,” which was mentioned in another thread, as well as “microfilm”. I also wonder if some of those old files were accessed to ascertain whether DNA, prints etc were included.

Indiana would only have his DNA on conviction of a felony. The exposure was pleaded down to a misdemeanour but he was convicted of one felony - the DV in the presence of a child so they should have his DNA from that. Don't know what those entries are but he has 5 warrants issued and he has not been excluded yet.

Yes, like I’ve said, I believe he will be extradited. Those 5 warrants aren’t just going away.

Anyone (including myself, which I did), can call the Johnson Co sheriff and verify that an extradition order is in place. That would’ve squashed like 13 pages of squabbling over whether they would or wouldn’t. So now it’s jusy a matter of determining if he will be included or excluded for the murders.

Excellent news. Would he confirm it in a tweet? I have seen other counties extraditing for less. They aren't in any hurry though so perhaps they are waiting for thr phone records or other evidence. MOO

I wasn’t aware he had Twitter. Since DN now has another court date in Colorado, you’re Probably right! There’s no danger to the community since he’s bound by multiple warrants.

Thanks for sharing about that.

I remember reading some of the references we had to what was outstanding and I had no idea what a lot of it meant. They sure make it confusing with their lingo on those forms IMO

I am happy to hear you are confident about that.
This could be the reason he has not bailed out yet. He may not be able to even if he had the money. There may be holds that prevent bail as an option.

How true. Now we can argue about whether extradition to Indiana means anything in relation to A&L's case.

Best ask those who think he wouldn't even be extradited just on those minor warrants, once the A&L thread re-opens that is. For now we want to know about TW. If they find evidence for the TW murder that would take precedence wouldn't it? If they don't then he would go back to JoCo I guess.

I know it’s off topic from this thread, but just a little bit. Did anyone else feel like this interview gave the impression that the Delphi murders are not close to being solved, and that DN was considered a distraction by the FBI? Or was that just my take on it?

Hi Daey, nice to see you back :)
Thanks for that link! I transcribed this part:

"I'm confident it will be solved by my successor and one of the difficulties about that case though, too, is when we see a lot of things popping up around the county and then it's not verified with us, or with those who are investigating it, and it brings the hopes up of the Delphi community and then they're just dashed. That's a hard thing for me to see."

I didn't really take it as him saying DN was a distraction. I took it as those instances popping up around the country (e.g. TN Sheriff, Dr Phil, M Kelly, RL, DN, TW), create a flurry of activity, and because it's not verified by LE then hopes get dashed. I take him literally at his word on that part. I hope and pray they have someone in their cross hairs but are being quiet about it, and the same for TW's case.

I'm happy to see his replacement is a home grown Hoosier with an impressive resume, it seems it will hit home with him and I hope he rolls up his sleeves and dives right in. I do wish the girls' thread would be reopened soon though, the 1 year anniversary is only 3 weeks away and it just seems a shame to leave it closed during that time period.

And DN has another court date, what the heck is going on out there?

Back to Indiana on charges unrelated to Delphi. (ATM IMO)

From RM's link:

[FONT=&quot]Daniel Nations waived his extradition rights in Colorado on Wednesday after a felony warrant for failing to register as a sexual violent offender was issued from Johnson County, Indiana. Those charges are not related to the Delphi investigation.

Interesting, he's not trying to delay returning to Indiana.

From your lips to Gods ears. Let's hope if he is the killer,Indiana has everything they need to convict him!

What about TW? Does this mean DN is not of interest? Or is it just a means to keep him incarcerated while they finish their investigations into all 3 murders?

He was going to be released on his own recognisance when the Colorado sheriff's office found a warrant from Johnson county. He waived his extradition rights and will be returned in 21 days.

This is very intriguing but there's also something hinky going on.

"Nations was in court Wednesday in Colorado on unrelated charges about providing false information to law enforcement. He was going to be released on his own recognizance, but then the Colorado sheriff's office found a warrant from Johnson County."

The Sheriff's office had to know he had a warrant(s). Why are they acting like DN was about to walk but whoops, they just discovered he's wanted?

It could just be the reporter’s understanding of how the day transpired.

this is so blankety blank interesting..I'm so thrilled I want to start cussing..sounds like LE is blanking with DN big time.

YAY!!!

(ETA: Bouncing off my post above)
Maybe it's nothing hinky and the sheriff's office actually didn't know about the Johnson Co Warrant. AG has a phone interview on his youtube channel with Capt Smith of CCC Sheriff's Office who said the same thing, they checked and found a warrant before turning DN loose. I won't link to conversation since source hasn't been approved but it's on youtube channel "WKAT".

I took the comments from the retiring guy to be referring to the goof up with the recent Tennessee announcement having mistakenly gotten hopes up before it was clarified by LE ... JMO...
