DH and I had our first salon experience since these businesses reopened in Michigan. We felt comfortable and safe in hair salon (Troy) where chairs are well-spaced with ceiling to floor plastic between the three stations. Chairs were moved out of the studio snf into a hallway where clients waited until it was time for their appointment. Stylists wear masks, and we were required to wear masks, as well. Blowouts are optional, but the stylists are allowed to do them if clients desire. At nail salon (Rochester Hills), pedicure seats are always well-spaced, and techs have always worn masks and gloves. Manicure stations are usually closer together, but only every other station was used for proper social distancing. In both salons, surfaces were wiped off prior to and following our services.
We also had our first dinner out since Valentine's Day and were very pleased with the way that the restaurant is accommodating patrons and keeping them safe. On Thursday evening, there weren't many patrons, and we had a very private, personalized dining experience. We felt safe in the environment and will resume our monthly dinners at the fabulous Italian restaurant in Troy.
