Hmm....perhaps a connection with providing security for the Billings? That would explain how they knew the interior of the house. Maybe? Possibly?

Just speculating.


Either way, it's pretty scary a past criminal not only was involved with children, but was dabbling in the "security" business for "today's business executive on the go." Wow. Just wow. Me thinks LPJ was trying to make a move into white collar crime, befriending the wealthy perhaps? :waitasec:

This creates the MELAINE ANNE BILLINGS© as a trademark/copyrighted entity. On page 2, paragraphs 4 and 5 state the monetary charges for using or trying to make money from "my estate, me, or private property..."
Just using it without permission was "chargeable against each user and issuer in the amount $500,000...per user and per issuer." Trying to make money from it was chargeable at $1,000,000.

This form was an edited template that I found online, but can't at the moment.

So maybe we all kept looking only at the "Maritime" as meaning water/sea stuff, when it is just part of the legal document's name? Did the person forever indebted to the Billings illegally use her name and get caught?

From searching within these pages I found the name Melanie A Brock associated with Melanie A Billings on a mortgage/lien paper. Searching Brock under the court records showed a record as "BROCK MELANIE AKA MELANIE BILLINGS"

I have found NO marriage record for Byrd Billings or Melanie Billings/Brock in Escambia county and it searches from 1982-present
The PNJ archived story from 2005 http://www.pnj.com/article/99999999/SPECIAL/907100342 states they met "Christmas EVe 15 years ago" (so 1990) and "2 years and 4 months later, they were married" (April 1992)

There was, however, a name change in 1991 from BROCK NICOLE MICHELLE to new name REA NICOLE MICHELLE with petitoners listed as "REA MICHELLE ANNE BROCK" "BROCK MELANIE ANNE" and "BROCK NICOLE MICHELLE"
Any relevance? I thought this might be her daughter "Nikki" that died last year; the obit says "8/13/84 - 8/01/08"

Somehow they sure knew right where Mr and Mrs Billings room was.That is a very big home they were in and out to quickly not to have known the floor plan.It was done like a Police raid and LE knows the lay out before they enter with a search warrant. I guess since they all seem to be in the crime business for so long they probably had their house's raided with a search warrant.

It would seem some that person used the name for some purpose.It seems like it to me. The wording talks about silver like the judgment on page 2.Maybe his name was used in some kind of con scheme.Not sure but seems likely to me.

Hmmmm.........well she did work with Children Services or something as a social worker. She's now working for an organization and she bills herself as previously being asked to do 'speaking' on the subject??????

Maybe she used their name in some presentations or something?

Just throwin' it out there as a possibility.

I keep meaning to ask a question and keep forgetting. How and when did the Billings little girl pass away?

Suzi, she wasn't a little girl any more. She was 22, I believe. She passed away last year. Nikki had CP. She became sick a long time before she passed with pneumonia and was hospitalized. She was having seizures and had to be placed on drugs inducing coma and was also placed on a vent. She contracted some type of a staff infection because of the vent. After that for more than a year, my have even been close to two I loose track of time, she would get better than horribly, horribly sick again. She went from a girl who was able to walk around and interact with her mother to wheelchair bound. SHe had a trach as well. It was very sad to see her go downhill so. She was in and out of the hospital alot. She finally passed from all of it.

Nikki was Melanie's bio daughter.

Their other child who passed Bailey, was only 3 or maybe 4 at the time. It was not long after Hurricane Ivan. the water heater in their new home had a faulty temperature setting. They had called plumbers out to fix it several times. Bailey was accidentally burned from hot water because of this when he got into the bathroom alone. He was flown to the Shriner's burn hospital in Texas. He later passed during surgery because an airbubble in one of his IV's or lines, I believe was what the hospital told them.

I read about that - it was that from a link in this thread, but now I can't find it! I've been scouring my internet history trying to find it (sorry - I'm new to this, I should have saved it...I'm learning tho.)

I don't recall the details, but here was the gist:
An adoptive mother was charged with selling her baby (for some paltry amount, I think it was something like $2,000 for her baby).
The mother had listed Byrd Billings as the father to facilitate adoption

Does anyone else remember reading this somewhere? I'll keep trying to find the link.. :waitasec:

That in itself seems a bit odd to me, because Whiskey Creek Press bills itself as primarily being about "sensual and erotic romance". They sould like they don't do a lot of background checks and are pretty open to whatever someone wants to submit to them

I wish we knew when and at what age any adopted female Billings that passed on . It would help.

First Ashley could not have been married to this crazy. She is only like 24 right now. She has been married the last two years to Blue Markham. I was at that wedding. She has never had a child either.

The man in the pic looks nothing like Bud to me and again I've known them more than 7 years.

The only female child they had who passed away was Nikki and she was an adult at the time and she was Melanie's bio daughter.

The blonde haired girl in that pic with "Chris" is the Billings daughter Tori, (Victoria). But she was adopted as were 2 of her bio siblings.

I do not know how she had time to even brush her hair.Maybe it was her hobby or outlet after they all went to bed.Maybe she started small on a website publisher to see if anyone would like her poems.

I also just wanted to put out there that Tori is not this crazy person's daughter. The pictures of the two girls look nothing alike. Tori has very curly hair, always has. His daughter doesn't and her hair isn't as white of a blonde as Tori's.
