A psychiatric hold does not mean he is in a medical condition to be released from the hospital.

Very true. A person can be on a psych hold even thou he/she is unconscious, intubated, and in critical condition. This can happen after a suicide attempt.

The more i read... i don't think FD will make it... i think they are waiting for the Greek family to say goodbye.

To me he did it’s someone said earlier because he had lost it all, business, bond money, kids, ex wife, potential wife, reputation. Quite frankly that’s a lot of mental stress. Not to forget the public who didn’t think he should go to trial to waste public’s hard earned money as they had presumed him guilty without seeing actual bloody pillow, bra, Jennifer’s bloody shirt, garage pictures with quarter size blood, some blood splatters that were not visible to naked eye unless there was close inspection. Clearly nanny and cleaning lady missed it. I wish they had never met and wouldn’t have put kids through this. Such ppl do not Deserve to get married or have kids.
It seems to me that whatever went wrong in his life was completely his own doing. He caused his own stress. But oddly, the act of murder itself didn't seem to cause him much stress - he wasn't stressed about causing the loss of his own wife - it was the house of cards he created that caused him stress.

Being involved in crimes makes it appear that one does not care about one's reputation very much.

To suggest the kids shouldn't have been born is not at all appropriate.

The public (and most of WS) clearly thought he should go to trial. There was a ton of evidence and a trial would have brought out that and MUCH more.

Jennifer deserved to get married and have kids. She loved them.

Kudos to Dave Altimari at HC for using FOIA to do some investigative work and figure out how Fd was able to post bond:

Fotis Dulos was able to post the $6 million bond after he was arrested for the murder of his estranged wife because Anna Curry, a North Carolina woman, contributed $147,000 in cash and promised to pay another $272,000 more, according to records obtained by the Courant.

The bond became a critical issue this week when it became the subject of an emergency court hearing Tuesday. Instead of going to the hearing Tuesday -- and possibly being sent back to jail if his bail was revoked -- Dulos attempted suicide at his Farmington home, setting off a chaotic sequence of events.

The state had sought to revoke the bond because the Palmetto Surety Company, which secured it, was now saying it no longer would do so because the collateral used to secure it wasn’t sufficient. Palmetto underwrote the bond with six pieces of real estate – but two of them, including the Jefferson Crossing home – are in foreclosure and a third is significantly overvalued.

Dulos referred to Curry, a former co-worker of Dulos at a New York financial firm, as his “best friend” in the bond documents. Curry signed a $3 million promissory note and was one of two indemnitors listed on the documents. The other is a high profile private investigator from Fairfield County who initially was hired by Dulos’ lawyers. The bond package has since been questioned by the South Carolina insurance company that initially underwrote it.

Curry, 42, was present at Dulos’ Jefferson Crossing home on Tuesday when Dulos was supposed to be heading to the Stamford hearing. Dulos faced the prospect of a judge revoking his bond because the South Carolina surety company that initially underwrote it was now questioning whether the collateral to support it was fraudulent and was threatening not to return the initial cash payment by Curry.

Sources said that Curry left Jefferson Crossing to run some errands sometime before 10:30 a.m, and when she returned shortly before noon Farmington police were already on the scene attempting to revive a nearly lifeless Dulos. She was interviewed by Farmington police as part of their investigation into Dulos’ suicide attempt.

“It is my understanding and belief these were old friends who developed a friendship years ago at work and out of loyalty to that friendship she has assisted Mr. Dulos,” attorney Norm Pattis said. “We should all be lucky enough to have such a loyal friend.”

Dulos was clinging to life at the Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx on Wednesday in “dire” condition, according to Pattis. At a court hearing Wednesday the issue of possibly revoking the $6 million bond wasn’t raised. Judge Gary White said that he would take up the issue if Dulos is ever able to attend court again.

Records obtained by the Courant through a Freedom of Information request to the state Department of Banking show that on January 9 Curry wrote two checks totaling $147,000 to pay the bail bondsman his fee on the $6 million bond. Dulos wrote a check for $1,000, records show.

The checks were made out to 24/7 Bail Bonds LLC, the bail bond company that handled the bond. In order to get bonded out a defendant must post 7% of the bond in cash. With a $6 million bond, Dulos needed $420,000 in cash to get out.

Curry also agreed to pay the balance of $272,150 in 15 installments on the 9th of every month until April of 2021, records show.

Among the other documents submitted as part of the bond package was a form filled out by Dulos listing his personal information from how many children he has to his occupation. On one line under “best friend” Dulos wrote Curry’s name along with her contact information.

Dulos listed that he worked at Capgemini, a New York technical consulting firm, for several years in the early 2000′s at the same time that Curry was working there, according to her LinkedIn profile. Sources said she has been supporting Dulos behind the scenes for several months, although she has never appeared in court with him.

Curry is a financial advisor now living in North Carolina.

Curry also signed a promissory note of $3 million to the Palmetto Surety Corporation, the company that initially insured the bond, records show. She is the only indemnitor listed on that note, records show.

However, there is a second indemnitor Patrick McKenna, a well-known private investigator in Connecticut. Records show that McKenna agreed to be an indemnitor on January 16. McKenna was hired by Pattis to work on the Dulos case over the summer. McKenna declined to comment Wednesday.

For now, with Dulos hospitalized and near death, the bond revocation hearing has been postponed. It is unclear if Curry will ever get her money back.

Attorney Norm Pattis said that if a bond hearing is held he will argue it is a dispute between the bondsman and the insurance company and not Dulos’ fault or issue. Pattis has lined up a New York bondsman Ira Judelson to assume the bond.

I'm not understanding Atty. P.'s argument here as the properties were in foreclosure and 4Jx is subject of litigation regarding ownership. Atty. P. word salad today about title insurance seemed design IMO to confuse and I'm not sure the NY bonds person can do with limited collateral available to pledge. It seems like this deal got done with the cash and friend signature on $3 million note.

FWIW, NP is saying that the ins co did not do its due diligence and cannot reneg now...

I know what you mean but she is still employed by Fatbers and receives her paycheck by the farbers. Just like the girl who killed mama dulos while fotis was in Europe. Jennifer was home but never once she filed police report? Hospital had to call the cops. Obviously fotis was told by Jennifer. If my mother in law was hit by my nanny’s car while my husband was away you bet your bottoms I’ll call the cops. FD trusted whatever his then beloved wife told him.
To me this family has dirty money and dirty laundry, every one is in need of psychiatric help. Gloria tried to kill her husband HF and tried to commit suicide. Please google it. JD was seeing a psychiatrist and was on pills. Both of their divorce and records were sealed as soon as defendant brought them up.Now FD had a mental breakdown and tried to commit suicide. This shows money is the root cause of all evil. Money doesn’t give you happiness but can sure bring you misery.
The hate runs deep here. Too funny to belittle JD or GF for getting help. Nobody cares if they needed help. ANYBODY who comes in contact with FD would "NEED HELP". Nobody here needs to google anything. We are way ahead of the game. FD is the sickest one of all. He is a PREDATOR and yes, victims need help.

In other words, a taint team is intended to act as a protective buffer between an individual subject to a seizure and prosecutors when material is seized that may be privileged. The FBI just proved Donald Trump wrong on attorney-client privilege.Apr 10, 2018

Not exactly. The FBI and DOJ don't get to determine how they handle attoreny-client privileged information. The court does. This discussion of the issue in the Cohen case and in a subsequent similar case illustrates the problem with "taint teams" and their disfavor.

From the link (emphasis mine):

In April 2018, the court presiding over Cohen’s case ultimately opted to forgo a “taint team” to conduct a privilege review of the documents seized from Cohen’s offices. The court instead appointed a former federal judge as special master. A court in the District of Arizona recently analyzed this issue in the context of materials seized from a criminal defense attorney’s office and also opted to appoint a special master. The parties’ and court’s reasoning in that matter illustrate the thorny decisions that such cases require.

Gallego’s team noted that the government’s primary authority for use of “taint teams” involved non-criminal defense attorney searches and, often, civil litigation. “Indeed, in every single case discussing the methods to be employed for the review of materials seized from the law offices of a criminal defense attorney, courts have used a Special Master.” Def. Reply (Doc. 50).

Ultimately, the court ordered the appointment of a special master and selected the magistrate judge randomly assigned to the case. Citing the importance of protecting the attorney-client privilege and the Sixth Amendment rights of Gallego’s clients, the court found that special circumstances warranted this additional protection. The court noted that “federal courts have generally ‘taken a skeptical view of the Government’s use of ‘taint teams’ as an appropriate method for determining whether seized or subpoenaed records are protected by the attorney-client privilege.’” Order (Doc. 65) (quoting United States v. SDI Future Health, Inc., 464 F. Supp. 2d, 1027, 1037 (D. Nev. 2006)). The court accordingly rejected Gallego’s proposal for an initial defense review, as well as the government’s proposed “filter team” process. It instead directed that the magistrate judge, sitting as Special Master, conduct a full review of the documents for responsiveness, privilege considerations, and application of the crime/fraud exception.

Well, there is not a single mention of Gloria Farber in the linked article so have no idea what you are talking about. You are correct that this is the USA and we have the right to express our BELIEFS. Presumption of Innocence IS ONLY required in a court of law, certainly not on Websleuths. There is NO lack of awareness here. BECAUSE so many here are VERY INFORMED about this case is the VERY reason that we KNOW FD is guilty as [REDACTED].
Apologies here’s the article

North Carolina woman paid $147,000 to help Fotis Dulos post his bond

So with her or anyone giving him money towards his bond, they have lost that money because he did not put up the full bond? Is that correct?

I cant believe there are that many desperate women out there that Fotis seems to get. Out of the 2 wives and 2 gfs I have seen 3 are attractive women who I would think could attract many suitors. Of which I am sure are taller than 5'7".

Just to be clear, the links say she is a very old friend from work. Still an idiot, but at least one with a legit connection.

I have always thought she was not intact what with all that blood in the garbage bags that were found plus what was found at her home - I would be thrilled if this was not the case and he did offer her dignity in death by burying her IMO
The suicide attempt - he messed that up just like he did regarding the disposal of the garbage bags in Albany - but based on my personal observations of the vigorous CPR administered (brought back from death IMO) I believe they are keeping him alive for his family - a dignity he didn’t allow Jennifer but I suppose he will have this honor for his family and that makes me angry

I wish you were correct. Put an end to misery for so many people. But I read earlier, DM? He’s been in that chamber several times today. Plus a couple times yesterday. They’re working him over hot and heavy. If they were not making progress, they would not waste space on him. They would leave him on life support in “dire” condition.
No, FD won’t die. He really doesn't want to die. He had a weak moment. Or a planned delay. Girlfriend showed up late. That’s all. He has to win against all odds.

ETA: Don’t confuse my rational brain with the emotional one. He NEEDS to die. After trial, and a finding of guilty, would have been better, but CT voted to abolish the death penalty in all their liberal generosity. Gas chamber, I guess would have been his preferred method.
No shame on us, Mr. Pattis. We are basing our presumed verdict on what we anticipate the prosecution will show us at time of trial. Based on AW lists. You? Shame on you! Gone Girl? Gag order violator extraordinaire? Rules don’t apply to you or your client. Guess what? They do. They will. Count on it. We look forward to a speedy trial, more than you do. Bring it on, as you have taunted us in the past. Hahahaha. Yes, sir. Bring it on.

This is a post I love stating over and over but a big kudos to grandma getting the armed guards at her apt and the nanny's quick thinking. More events could have happened if it wasn't for them! I still get chills thinking the nanny could have been killed as well if she stayed the night before the murder. FD is a monster! JMO
