Wondering how JM was implicated as a suspect. Located weapon? Prints in house? Found things at his house?

Just cannot believe a father would harm such a darling little girl, but it seems somehow he knows the whereabouts of the child, albeit dead or alive. W/o a death penalty and probably a forthcoming charge in CH's murder, he has no incentive to reveal info about VM. This guy doesn't seem to have connections to anyone who would actually take and care for a child. Must not have a conscience either. Thinking the worst...

Sadly, like many of our other cases, those closest to home are often responsible, especially in a case like this where there was clearly rage and major overkill (Christine couldn’t be identified because of how badly she was beaten - that’s not easy to do). I’m sure that they had him in their crosshairs from the get go.

Additionally as mentioned above, he has no reason to cooperate or divulge baby’s whereabouts. He would be better off spinning a tale about giving her to some loving couple who squirreled her away to another country, at this point. I truly hope they locate her. What a .

Sort of off the main topic, but what's with these parents?
3 found dead in Staten Island home
U.S. Army Specialist Alla Ausheva and her children, Elia, 3, and Ivan, 2, were found dead on June 22, 2019, inside their residence in the Arrochar neighborhood in Staten Island. Sometimes it’s “if I can’t have you no one can” syndrome, some are family annihilators. Mental illness. Who knows, it all sucks. Scary stuff.

I don't believe any information about the investigation and/or search of house released but I do recall that JM's vehicle was impounded when he was arrested for weapons charge. I'm hopeful the delay in naming a suspect was because police were waiting on forensic test results. MOO

Jose Morales has first appearance in court today on weapons possession charges — unrelated to the murder of his gf Christine Holloway and the disappearance of their daughter Vanessa Morales, though he is a suspect in those cases

Christine’s family in court crying as Morales makes appearance

Clearly, mom was killed on purpose. Or at least, beaten on purpose, until death occurred. I'm not convinced baby suffered the same fate. Mostly because she's missing. If she is deceased, I'm going to guess it was not intentional. Just a hunch, but of course I've been wrong before.

UPDATE: Jose Morales, a suspect in the disappearance of his one-year-old daughter, Vanessa Morales, and the murder of Vanessa’s mother, Christine Holloway, appeared before a #NewHaven judge on unrelated firearms charges this afternoon.
Jose Morales appeared in court on weapons charges this afternoon—one day after Ansonia police publicly named him a suspect in his 1-year-old daughter’s disappearance and her mother’s murder. The hearing was very brief with a new date scheduled for 1/22.

I haven't given up hope that she's alive. I know it's unrealistic at this point but it's nagging at me that he did not just leave her there dead with her mom.

I wonder if he initially had thoughts of keeping V but found that wouldn't work. Please say he didn't kill his own child.

I’m sure LE has kept a close eye on him and anyone who might be taking care of Vanessa. And since they’ve made no big announcement, they haven’t found her yet. Where could he have hidden her? Who could he have given her to for safe keeping?

Oh jeez, I just had an awful thought, maybe he sold her. I have nothing to base it on, other than she has not been found and he’s been in jail practically since Christine’s body was found so he couldn’t be taking care of her himself. Where is she?
