i personally found the cross-exam of the forensic pathologist the most interesting.

When asked by mr boyle he stated the relative levels of sertraline and its metabolite were more consistent with therapeutic dosing than an overdose...i found that reassuring.

Yes..!!!! :)

Many thanks to those that kept the updates going throughout the day :)

"Dr Milne said there were no obvious injuries to show the body had spent time in the water."

Does this mean that she wasn't initially placed into the water but rather along the bank?

I was a little puzzled by this too.

I have been following Day 1 intermittently during the day and want to say

:gthanks: to all who have been 'reporting' from Court today or those who have taken the time on this site to provide the updates, etc.

Many thanks to those that kept the updates going throughout the day :)

Yes it would appear that is the case. Limaes.

I would also like to say a big thank you to everyone who either went to the court today or helped in other ways to get the information to everyone.

Much appreciated. :)

Dr Milne couldn't rule out that she had spent time in the water...but there were no positive signs that she had....no injuries from brushing/pushing against debris or the side of the bank....no injuries from the water-life.

Reading between the lines, it is likely she didn't spend time in the water.

Here is my take on what may have happened to Allison.

She was killed at home around 9:00-9:30 pm. Another female (OW) came to the house later after GBC asked her to come over urgently to watch over girls (more screams when this person arrives and realised what had happened). He then disposed off ABC at the bridge around 11:30-12:30. I believe he pulled the body off the back of car onto the ground (first thud) and then rolled the body off the bridge onto the mud below (second thud). At around 4:00 am, after conferring with NBC, both went back to move her under the bridge to the location where she was found (more out of sight). Just speculating. My opinion only.

And yet Allison was found on her side in the mud...very confusing.

Certainly sounds feasible.

@KateKyriacou

A man living near Kholo Creek says he heard two heavy thuds, a car door and all the neighbourhood dogs barking at 10.30pm, April 19.

Yes Flinders, he described the thud as 'like someone had thrown a full bag of concrete on to grass'.

That is making sense.
It just amazes me that with at least two people involved, they can still stuff it up so badly. They could all write a book on "how not to commit a murder"

a fingertip from a glove fell out? What does that mean? a latex glove belonging to police? or I recall a pair of gloves being found along with the sim card. We heard about the sim but never again about the gloves? could there have been a fingertip missing? any more info on the gloves anybody? I tried to do a search in old forums, but was completely useless. Thanks all!

I am still very puzzled as to how the girls could possibly have slept through all of the things that the neighbours heard?

I'm still of the opinion the marks on GBC's neck in this photo are scratches. KG1 I think originally posted the photo...

scratches.jpg

Thanks Marly, yes I am still convinced they are scratches, and I think I may be somewhat vindicted today by the good Dr Leslie Griffiths, Forensic specialist called to give evidence of scratches. Doc and I agreed to disagree on this one, but I still reckon they are scratches. Gee, I hope they all really hurt GBC.

I didn't post the original photo, just enlarged and interpreted as scratches, rather than anything else.

And they look like the sort of surface level scratch that doesn't bleed (as was suggested today in the hearing). It reminds me of the welt I get if my cat scratches me - doesn't bleed, but flares up and is raised.

Isn't it weird that he was wearing glasses today?? There's never been a photo of him before with glasses on (that I've seen anyway)

If the girls slept through this, then I conclude they had been given 'something' to sleep. But, IMO, it is more likely that they did hear a lot of what was going on, but being scared to death, stayed in their rooms, quietly. I seriously doubt this was the first incident of DV in this household. I think these poor little girls grew up with this type of "noise" ... fighting and crying, screaming, etc. IMO.
