If DW’s intention was only to rob the S house, did he not see all the cars at the house? That is usually an indicator someone is home.

And when DW realized someone was in the house why didn’t he leave? Go rob an unoccupied house.

Imo because this was never about robbing the family and leaving.

Murderers like Wint are high risk takers. It may be part of the thrill.

The Hufsted.(sp?).family vehicles were also at home when their home intruder stranger came in and killed both parents with their child inside.

Others have invaded homes where the victims showed them they had no money to give them yet some have stayed for many hours or days in the home torturing the victims.

This shows that in many of these home invasions done by strangers it goes far deeper than simply wanting to rob the victims.

As I have said before this murderer will use anyone whether it's his family or unsuspecting women or anyone else for that matter.

He didn't care one bit he was involving them in all of this. What has always mattered to Wint is using anyone to his advantage.

Thank goodness the arrest ended peacefully but if it had not I am sure he would have used these women as human shields to protect the only one who matters to Wint. Him and only him.

Yes. In 2016 a large rental truck pulled up outside my house and a black person wearing a "safety vest", hard hat and gloves knocked on my door. There was another person in the truck, engine idling, and another standing in the back of the EMPTY truck on the lift with an EMPTY pallet on a wheeled pallet truck. I made slamming noises inside and did not open the door. The truck left the area. If people with "safety vests" ring your doorbell, DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR. I saw this in 2014 also, a white full sized van pulled into the house next door driveway, the house was vacant and had a "for sale" sign. I heard arguing and later a smash sound. I checked later, the door was open with a key still in the lock from the broken realtor key holder which was in pieces on the porch.

I don't believe DW acted alone because it was too well choreographed. A weapon in the home was used that is tied to SS' martial arts studio in Chantilly which was opening the next day. SS was lured home from Chantilly. That's too much of a coincidence, imo. I think it was a hired hit and an insider was involved. I hope DW is convicted and that he will provide more information in exchange for a sentencing deal. JMO

IMO, he's entirely too incompetent to be a hired hit man.

I disagree with reporters here as I don't think DW knew he was being taken to Jail, and also why he was riding in vehicle with the girls --that were following the box truck. I think Dwl and cousin come off as informants -- they just seemed too comfortable talking to police. I also believe that Dwl took money or given money by DW. MOO

I went back to the opening statements trying to figure this out. The defense attorney Stein said Wint was terrified of what his brothers had done, so he panicked and fled - and that his brother Darrell was with him when he came home to turn himself in. So it sounds like he knew where DarrW was taking him. But it makes no sense that he would ask his brother for help turning himself in if his brother framed him.

I don't think one single juror will buy into the defense spin that Wint was a poor terrified cowardly man.

His own past violent criminal history shows that to be a bunch of baloney. His own families had to get a RO against HIM not the other way around.

The jury will use their common sense and will weigh the voluminous evidence against him. Imo they will not be hoodwinked by the defense's unsupported smoke and mirrors.

There are criminals who are just in it for the money/cash profit.

And then there are criminals who are violent, like to scare and torture their victims and wreak havoc, and get revenge. DW was in this category, imo.

The hair argument is now "prejudicial" -- and I think they've lost focused, period! MOO
