Murdoch’s “hand suddenly hit the table, a hard blow, shaking it”, Wolff writes in the book. “This might have appeared like sudden fury at his wife … But, no, it was directed somewhere else.

“At Trump, apparently. Here, nearly under his breath, was a rat-a-tat-tat of jaw-clenching ‘[effs]’. Murdoch was as passionate in his Trump revulsion as any helpless liberal.”

“Money. ‘This lawsuit could cost us fifty million dollars,’ [Murdoch] said quietly, but clearly.”

Dominion sued for $1.6bn but settled for $787.5m

Sorry to be a serial poster, but wanted to get a good source for the news.

"Rupert Murdoch is retiring from the Fox and News Corporation boards, the company is set to announce Thursday morning, making his son Lachlan the sole executive in charge of the global media empire he built from a small local newspaper concern in Australia starting 70 years ago.

The elder Mr. Murdoch will become chairman emeritus of the two companies, the company said in a release."

Longtime Fox Corporation and News Corp chairman Rupert Murdoch stepped down from the companies on Thursday following a tumultuous final few years that saw Murdoch’s once close relationship with former President Donald Trump reach a boiling point in the aftermath of Trump’s 2020 election loss, and after Fox News paid $787.5 million to settle a defamation lawsuit.

A federal appeals court has ruled the FBI’s seizure of Mike Lindell’s cell phone last year did not violate his constitutional rights, according to an opinion filed today.

The panel upheld a lower court’s ruling, noting the “warrant explicitly authorized the search of Lindell’s person for his cell phone as well as the seizure and search of the phone for records and information.”

No charges have been filed in relation to the investigation, which is ongoing, the opinion notes.

Lindell is the CEO of MyPillow, based in Chaska. Federal agents reportedly stopped him at a Hardee’s in Mankato on Sept. 13, 2022.

Court records note Lindell’s phone was seized due to “an ongoing federal investigation into the individuals responsible for publishing forensic images of election software used in the 2020 election in Mesa County, Colorado.”

Speaking to Bannon, Lindell commented: "Steve, we really need everybody's help right now. We have things going on I'm going to let you all know this week...

"American Express, I wasn't going to say this, we've been with them 15 years and we do all of our online marketing, all our shipping with them, out of the blue they took our credit line from a million dollars down to $100,000, just cripples MyPillow. No reason, no explanation, just dropped it down last Tuesday."

Companies make decisions for financial reasons. Looks like AmEx isn't making money from the My Pillow business. Bummer for Mike.

Pro-Trump attorney Sidney Powell is still facing a defamation lawsuit from the elections equipment company Dominion Voting Systems. But in a new filing this week, Powell is asking that a deposition in that trial be put on hold — so that she can mount a defense in the criminal Georgia election racketeering case.
Busy, busy, busy! Hope she gets time for Holiday shopping!

Fighting a major defamation lawsuit with one hand and accusations of racketeering with the other...it's Kraken Lady in her animal print cardigan!

Almost seems like we're being punked.

Lindell confirmed in an interview with The Associated Press on Friday that he’s out of money and said he understands his lawyers are people who need to make a living.

Attorney Andrew Parker wrote in documents filed in federal court on Thursday that his firm and a second firm representing MyPillow in lawsuits by Smartmatic and Dominion Voting Systems can’t afford what it would cost to represent Lindell and MyPillow through the rest of the litigation. Continuing to defend him would put the firms “in serious financial risk,” he wrote.

In a rambling video posted on his website Thursday night, he depicted himself as a victim of “cancel culture” and said he wasn’t done fighting.

“I’m never going to stop trying to secure elections for this country ever,” Lindell said.

His previous telethons were disasters, but Mike Lindell decided to double down and do another one! This time the goal is to raise money to hire a new lawyer. His legal team quit because Lindell has no money to pay them.

"The pillow magnate is now facing three defamation cases for spreading lies about the 2020 presidential election, saying that the process was rigged and that fraud was committed. Such claims of electoral fraud have been repeatedly rejected in court and by independent election experts. Legal processes have left Lindell on the brink of bankruptcy, leading him to say that he "'lost everything, every dime.'"

"'Since he did Jimmy Kimmel's show twice, he is asking Kimmel to return the favor and host the telethon.'"

Also, Lindell is a recovering drug addict. It seems like he replaced his drug with feeding himself delusions about the election. IDK, I'm no expert on any of this, but his behavior is clearly not rational, imo, and it does seem like he's addicted to the election results, even as it has killed his business, reputation, finances.
