They got rid of HHSS. They got rid of Mr Conway. They have been gunning for Mark N. Now Mr Evans is the target.

I am sure that the defense knew that Mr Evans might be disqualified as Mr Kronk's lawyer if he was on the defense witness list. Perhaps Mr Conway leaving the Anthonys gave them this idea. Mr Evans leaving Mr Kronk would leave Mr Kronk more open to attack before and during trial.

Seems the defense is trying to eliminate anyone who might get in the way of setting up a SODDI defense.:waitasec:

I am so disgusted by this latest maneuver. I can't help but wonder if the state's clerical error in including JB's name on one of their lists gave the defense this idea.

What irks and amazes me is that they persist in actions that are so sleazy, greasy and smarmy ~ and it seems like they never get called on them. Is it because they are so sly that they know how to stay "just this side" of the laws or is it that our legal system is that imperfect? I don't know what it is but it sure is giving me a bad taste in my mouth!!!

HHJP has the constant threat of future appeals hanging over his head since this is a DP case. I think the defense will be given a great deal of leaway before/during this trial.

I agree. I also think that the Defense' motivation in this trick, is to remove the lawyer who has already strongly warned Leonard P. that he would take legal action (sue him) against him if he did not stop saying untrue things about Kronk on NG show (his annoying daisy chain theory with Kronk's jail employee girlfriend).

I think that threat of a lawsuit has made Kronk's ex and relatives a bit afraid to come forward with what they claim Kronk said to them. Get rid of Kronk's attorney, and maybe the other witnesses will be less afraid to testify against Kronk???

I believe the ex Crystal has been resistent to come forward - she never wanted Leonard to let anyone know (especially Kronk's sister, Susan) that Crystal was communicating with Leonard P. and Dominic and Cindy. Kronk's former roommate Bradley W. left on a fishing boat to avoid giving a deposition to the State!

Strange that the defense has not put Kronk's jail employee girlfriend on the witness list. She could offer more testimony than Kronk's attorney could... but it would not help the Defense.

I am now so disgusted and disappointed with Mr. Mason. When he joined the defense I had high hopes that he would bring some much needed experience and class to team Baez that it was sorely lacking. On the contrary he's been dashing my hopes little by little ever since, but now he's obliterated them.

I sure hope Baez et al is not going to involve Nejame in this ... all I could think of when I read this news was the $5000 Nejame gave to Kronk as a reward and to help him ... this was the amount Cindy had paid Nejame before he dropped them as clients ... Kronk supposedly used it as a retainer to hire Evans ...

Maybe I'm over thinking this but can't for the life of me figure out what David Evans could have possibly done that Baez is trying to use to force him to no longer represent Kronk ... :waitasec:

I think that the defense knows it can't get around this lawyer and that they may have a better chance with another one ...
Well we know how well that worked out for them with judges ...

I think you're right, good points ... the last thing this legal team wants to be up against are competent, well educated, and ethical lawyers ... I had forgotten about the threat to sue Padilla too ... hmmm

It still annoys me recalling that hearing when LDB told the HHJP that she was having problems doing a depo on Bradley W. due to that boat trip and the "team" smirked....I truly HATE jb smirk all the time!
 
This Bradley W is confusing me... he is Kronk's former roomate, he leaves on a fishing boat when he is suppose to give a depo and his attorney visits KC in jail...... why is Kronks former rommates attorney visiting KC in jail?

I think Bradley W must have talked some crap about Kronk and is pro-defense. I think it ties in to why Kronk's lawyer was put on the witness list too. jmo.
 
I updated the Defense witness list to show the State depositions of 5 Defense witnesses for Sept. 30, 2010. And to correct the deadline for depositions of State Experts which is still Sept 30, 2010 (not extended to Oct. 31, 2010 - only the LE depositions were extended).

DEADLINES for Witness Lists and Depositions:
- complete witness list by August 31, 2010
- Defense list experts and penalty phase witnesses by November 30, 2010
- depositions of State experts by September 30, 2010
- depositions of law enforcement by October 31, 2010
- depositions of all other witnesses by October 31, 2010
- depositions of Defense experts and penalty phase witnesses by Feb 28, 2010

This is a new name that just recently appeared on the Defense witness list.
We don't know who she is or how she is related to the case.
