Discuss..Description of PI video by legal analyst

Oh no...I so feel for you. I am going through something almost identical myself at the moment. I have reported 2 attorneys for improper dealings with money from my mother's estate. They are not all honest, that's for sure!

Also in my case I took on some very big guns. My family and I feared for my safety. My sister called me on the phone one day crying and telling me she feared I was going to end up like Karen Silkwood. On top of everything else, it was scary.

Me either! As far as I'm concerned this is about the biggest news in the case other than finding the body.

Do you think it could be that Baez & Casey were trying to make a plea deal for the location of Caylee's body, and LE said they had one and only one chance to tell the truth of Caylee's location, and Baez, knowing what a liar Casey is, sent Dominic to verify the location?

Maybe they were still going to try to verify the location to proceed with a plea deal, when unexpectedly, along comes the MR and finds Caylee's body. This would make Casey's reaction of "I can't believe this is happening" make perfect sense - there went her plea deal, and would be something I can believe would make her have an anxiety attack and need a sedative.

Just some thoughts. What do you all think?

I kept thinking about the PI saying they were going to move the remains and about them filming the search. That has puzzled me because if they planned to move the remains, they were planning a serious crime. They aren't a couple of myspace dummies that I would expect to film themselves posting their crimes. So why film it? Speculation is that they expected to sell the video, but again I would have to ask who would buy it? And again, it is evidence they were committing a serious crime- would they want that out in the public? That part just didn't make sense to me.

Is there any possibility that they were being paid to move Caylee's body..... but one or both were planning on blackmail afterwards?

I love it when the truth starts unfolding. It would seem that DC was counting on Hoover *not* still having the videotape. Not smart. Not smart at all.

amen! I also bet dc considered hoover the slower, nice, gullible guy he could boss around and have hold the camera. He sure did underestimate hoover~!

I didn't even consider Baez may have been using DC to check the veracity of his client. Duh!

In theory, I can think of legal investigation an attorney could do/have done of a client's story, which would be privileged, but in actuality it all seems so risky and stupid. How can you just find the site and not risk altering it or tampering in some way, even by accident? Or getting discovered and having it look like the information came straight from your client? Or just the suspicion from the idea that something might have been done to alter the evidence? This is craziness. People who think they know where a body is should tell LE and let them look for it, IF they want it found.

Supposedly, DC worked for Baez until Oct. 1st then moved over to the A fam. DC claims it was for free working for them, but then who paid for his trips to Alive Caylee sightings and such? We don't know.

Yes. If you hire a PI...they are working for you and should be advising you of any investigations they have ongoing and the results.

1) while working for Baez and team~denial decided Casey was guilty and Caylee most likely dead and thought the best way to find out more was to move to the Anthony camp and out from under thumb baez. Once at camp Anthony he had convos with LA who could have been the conduit of info flow from Casey.

or

2) while working for Baez, is instructed to leave the defense team and volunteer at the A team to dig more and investigate something Casey had shared with her lawyer....(location and x marks the spot to the dump site) to rule out as a lie or a truth.... as if DC were to find the remains while under the employ of the defense team would not quite ring true to their Caylee is alive form.

Totally disagree, and believe that this is one of the biggest pieces of news that's come out of this case so far, other than the discovery of body. Theres video!!! Don't know how you could say heresay, rumors, fabrications with an actual video in LEs hands.

The information could have originated with JB for very legitimate reasons, and after DC was not working for him any longer DC found motivation elsewhere to use that information. I don't think JB would instruct someone to remove evidence, but I do think the info came to DC while he was working for the defense.

I was just trying to figure out scenarios of WHY would DC LEAVE the defense team employ and go work for the Anthony's... which... if you are to believe what Baez said (he believed Caylee was alive and kidnapped) that is no different then what the Anthony camp was touting. Same job but now no paycheck. Makes no sense. If you go back to my 1 and 2 post I really think I believe 2 the most. many things on this video that made my ears perk up! D. Casey digging with shovel where black plastic bag sticking up, using probe and could damage evidence. But the most telling thing to me was the fact that he was concentrating his digging near rocks and bricks. There is a shot of the cleared crime scene in this news video that shows what looks like to me rocks or blocks. I don't know how to capture this shot but think it's worth discussing. Anyone know how? What do ya'll think about this info?

I find it quite interesting that this was videoed at all.

Would any defense attorney have that much vested interest in the case to risk everything and make efforts to move a body, plant evidence, etc? The most he is gonna get out of this in the end is a win. The worst is a loss. Why would he risk it?

As I said, love the way your mind works. However I can't buy this as I don't think JB is intelligent enough to come up with this idea.
