I just want to thank everyone who's stilling hanging here because I still can't let this whole mess go. I rarely post, but I have read every post since this whole mess made the headlines. I still want to read all of the sidebars and every interview of witnesses from the defense. Hopefully, I'll move on soon, but I will never forget Travis Alexander and his beautiful family, Dt. Flores, Juan and Janeen DeMarte. They are classy to the core.

Hello there friend. Thank you! There are so many lovely folks like yourself that prayed for the Alexanders and we will never know their names even. SO many who followed the case, from all over the world. It is amazing how many lives Travis Victor Alexander has touched. There were donations sent in for sometimes as little as five dollars with a card that said our family prays for you. Can you imagine the sweetness in someone's heart to send in that money? The five dollars is more valuable than ten thousand; because, of what it represents.....goodness conquering evil. I made a huge mistake the other day saying it is time to let Jodi Arias go and close the chapter as Travis would want everyone to move on and put their lives forward. I was thinking out loud , my hope for myself and my friends. I literally prayed with my minister to ask for help with this. I was the one needing help, not any of you. I apologized but it bears repeating. I know that discussing the case may go on for years. I am humbly sorry if I offended anyone. I have never regretted a few words worse than those as I fear I hurt and offended. Trust me, in my time I have had some arguments in my personal life and I know words are hard to take back once you speak them. I just turned 50 on the 13th of this month and to this day I still feel hurt over some things that were said to me as a young child. I remember them as if they were yesterday. "We write on a persons soul with indelible ink when we hurt others with our words", my Gram used to teach us. As I am finding out, she turned out to be right about everything she ever told me. Please accept my apology. It is sincere.

Please post all the time, any time and as much as you like. What makes this place wonderful is the different voices and perspectives from people old and young, from north and south. Every voice is important. The older I get the more I notice that often the quietest people are the most interesting once they do open up.
I know you will love, love, love Travis' book. It is something you can keep forever. Check it out on Amazon. In the Mormon churches the little children sing this adorable little song: Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam. With Travis he got the best sunbeam, and so did we. raising you book.jpg

The wonderful thing about a sunbeam is people all over the world, anyone looking up, can catch the light at the exact same time. Every time I see a sunbeam I know Jesus lives and Travis is in Heaven, protected and free.

Indeed whenever I think of Travis now it will be with the joy he had while doing his chicken dance.

My final thoughts on attending the #jodiarias sentencing Monday. http://twoinnocents.com/2015/04/15/final-chapter-thank-you-travis-alexander/ … Rest in Peace dear Travis.

If anyone watched Troy Hayden's q and a yesterday, he said he has it from good sources that JSS very much wanted her to get the death penalty. I thought that was fairly obvious really, but interesting to have it all but confirmed. TH has excellent sources.

I think that is exactly right...that pious statement about it freeing her etc...she wanted the death penalty not because she wants to die but it is so much more "celebrity" and so many more options for fame....now she is just reduced to a standard murderer and even for jaa it will be tough to keep her followers interested. Her family did not care enough to come to hear her sentencing and Sandy probably left town immediately...she admitted they will not be visiting often...JAA is just going to rot and that is what she deserves...probably some suicide attempts etc. and that is about all that is left. To be honest Juror 17 is not her saviour but rather her demise.

I agree. Juror 17 made it so that Jodi Arias is limited to one state funded appeal and after that she is on her own financially. THAT IS A HUGE difference. Sometimes we have to thank God for unanswered prayers. HE knows what he is doing.

I did post an opine on the other case that bears similarity to this one. I do wish any and all folk who are being harassed in any form would report and create a Legal paper trail. I get it may not stop a crime in the end but it may stop such a case as this. Victim victimized over and over. No blame intended just pointing out something given the direction cases we see are going. No victim should be subjected to what Travis was at Trial and his Family. I once was a strong supporter of the DP despite my Country abolishing it years ago. This Trial has opened my eyes as to why it should be abolished period. Defendants are afforded way too much leeway at Trial. IMO it is a cost to the Victim, the Family and the taxpayers.

I agree with this....and Samantha's comments about a "Life Row" were brave and really touched and inspired me. Yes the reason JSS went WAY over backward is because she was trying to avoid as many appeals as possible in a DP case. The irony though is they will still appeal for decades, if she got it I mean. It really didn't matter but I see why she did it. I think the DP will be abolished long before this killer had any chance of execution. We are at 25 years now waiting for nothing while he uses tens of millions of dollars in taxpayer money when he never paid a dime in US taxes.
Then you've got those who've made their lucrative careers fighting the DP using one murderer at a time (where do you think those millions are going?). They want to fight against it but do they really? They are fighting themselves out of their career$. So it's complicated.
There DOES need to be a swift punishment for our worstoftheworst like this one.
I like the idea of a death row lifestyle, severe limitations (no TV) and let them rot there with very limited appeals. Let's see if that changes trials and creates deterrence.

Thanks Zoey, for your heart-felt words. But hold up -- did you really say that your birthday was the 13th? The day of Jodi's sentencing? What a great birthday present! (In a weird but totally awesome way.)

Hello, good afternoon all.

Mods or any of you please, is it possible to send me the link where all the case about Travis Alexander begins. I mean since the very first moment in June 2008 when you surely reported him missing, as I didn't know WS until now and also didn't know about Travis case. I have been feeling so moved and emotional about the case - I had never seen before photos of anyone murdered and they poped up in front of me on Google images last week when I googled his name. My sleep has been difficult by night and even had nightmares twice because of this case...

So, I would like to read from the begining when the persons new for the first time he was missing.
Have been looking in the archives but can't, can't find it anywhere.

Thank you :)

Hi Beesknees,

I don't know about original archives on here but this episode on 48 hours is what drew me in to this case. I saw it when it aired in 2009 and started back at the beginning and watched it all over again. Her deception is fascinating in it's pure evil. I no longer find her "fascinating" but a common runofthemill evil Sociopath. Whoever said she's a cross between Betty Broderick and Ted Bundy I say they nailed it. The borderline of Broderick with the pure evil of Bundy. Welcome to Websleuths! :seeya:

I can't find the entire 48 Hrs episode but here are some excerpts (posted by one of our members here!):

Thank you so much for your answer. Let me explain - I viewed this 48 hours doc and also followed the sentenccing some days ago. Since I knew about the case last week I have been catching up in all I could find about. Have also been reading here in WS the transcriptions, letters, journals, messages, vídeos, etc.

What I really wanted now was to reach the very first thread about Travis Alexander reporting he went missing. I'd like to see posts and reports since that day of June on. To see the development of the case, the opinions of the posters, the day his body was found, the way they were led to the now rotten inmate for life in Perryville :jail: , her detention, etc, etc. This first hour's thread and on is what I can't find.

As for the monster, I hate what she did and what she represents. I wonder how many others are her alike and I fear so much that one day any of them can cross my children's path or anyone else's path. She is evil to the core :burn: and very, very dangerous

Thank you1

Count me in as someone who wants to see Matt M.'s deposition.

I want to see everything, now that she's sentenced there doesn't seem to be any reason for it all not to be unsealed, wonder why it hasn't been yet?

This link goes back to June 09

The beginning of a case usually starts with discussion, the case gets its own thread as it grows. I will keep looking to try and find 1st discussion

I don't think he was ever reported missing bees. His roommates thought he was out of town on business. Some of his friends and associates were already in Cancun waiting for him. It wasn't until Mimi, who was going to Cancun with him and was unable to reach him, went by his home that his body was found

Hi there, I have some links that may help

It is important to know a little background about Jodi and Travis before you listen to her interrogations, to understand her entire statements were replete with lies. Here is one of his dear friends explaining her fatal attraction

Mike Bertot http://youtu.be/0PN1ycQJy4o

David Lohr, Sr. Crime Writer for the Huffington Post has a timeline

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/12/31/jodi-arias-timeline_n_2387245.html

He also posted the entire trial on line in videos
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL_Rz53XTtnkEf4qetcdaEwSY00mKCOoYo

David Lohr kindly paid for and edited the entire penalty phase retrial as well https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLwxYl_sbb8Iz6yEqNE5gglA3Pf2SdSgwv

Most of the court documents in the case are on www.courtchatter.com

Fox News has a wonderful timeline section too http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/05/22/timeline-key-events-in-jodi-arias-murder-case/

Here is a link to a playlist of videos from the television shows on HLN that had a lot of Travis' friends on to be interviewed.

HLN Jodi Arias http://www.hlntv.com/clusters/jodi-arias

Murder In The First Degree, a 48 hours special https://youtu.be/A2XvzoNqUh8

I wrote a summary once with a bunch of links too that may help a bit

Here is a 5 hour HLN Special that sums up the entire case
(commercials edited out by Roger Bontempts) https://youtu.be/m7wc814SAW8

I'd say start with the 911 call , then the police interrogations, then the trial. Here is the 911 call

Interrogation of Jodi Arias by Detective Steve Flores https://youtu.be/vE_Ue5rF8QM

Katie Cool Lady, one of our members blogged about the trial every night. She has an entire thread here. It was amazing, first hand blow by blow of the trial.
http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...y-Holds-Court-The-Dedicated-KCL-Thread/page24

In this phase, when cameras were not allowed, Paul Sanders attended the trial each day and his blogs, like Katie's are wonderful. They both describe everything so well it makes one feel like they are there.
Blog of The 13th Juror, Paul Sanders www.the13thjurormd.com

I hope this helps a bit. I am sorry about your nightmares. Here is Travis in much happier times https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tm-tgbwO2aQ&feature=youtu.be

Next time you have a bad dream about the frightening photos try to think of him dancing his little happy chicken dance with his friends https://youtu.be/VIsCVcOy11k

Thanks a lot - about to embark on that thread. The initial poster gives a brief outline of the crime and the ninjas story Arias told once she'd confessed to being there but adds 'Her account of what happened is a little more detailed than the one I just gave'. Isn't that just like the woman we came to know and loathe.

KatieCoolady I didn't know that's what drew you into this case. That's what caught my attention too!

I was flipping through the channels and happened to catch her babbling. I could see right through her, but I got so worried that she would fool everyone so I kept an eye on the case via the Internet.

Then one day I stumbled upon WS... I can't even put into words how happy I was to see that everyone here had JA figured out, and knew how dangerous she was.

(around that same time we had all recently been so disappointed by the CA trial.... I think it added even more worry that JA might escape too)

Thank you so much for the explanation and the links. I thought then, as Travis wasn't reported as missing, the threads here could have begun when he was found after the 9th June 2008. All I wanted was the first time this crime was reported and discussed here to be able toread from then on.

Will go now see from the links you provided.

Thank you1

You might be interested to know that his body was found by friends 5 days after he had been killed. When they called the police they told them they thought Jodi Arias had done it! (I think we have a recording of that archived somewhere)

Just started reading the link Meemaw provided. It's very interesting to read the posts there with the benefit of hindsight. Almost everyone comments on JA's detail about grabbing her purse as she escaped the ninjas. Someone wrote that her guilt is so obvious, her trial will likely be pretty swift. Hoo boy! (And that's not intended as a criticism of that poster, or any others. Who back then could have guessed at her DT's strategy and the testilies of the so-called experts?)
