Does it make it right if the woman had bias against Juan Martinez because he prosecuted her ex-husband? I'm not in favor of those threatening her, but I'm thankful there are people out there sleuthing her so we can make sure she didn't commit any crimes when she got on the jury.

Be angry at the system if that is the case, if all of the above is true the court should have noted it and she should have been weeded out .. maybe it would be constructive to petition your local politicians for change, not go after an individual .. that will only skew any reasonable argument people may have.

I'm not going after anyone, but thanks for your concern.

My opinion is that if that less-than-ethical juror honestly felt she did the right thing, she'd have no problem owning it to the media. Stand up and be proud of your decisions and following through with your conviction - that kind of thing.

She knows she didn't do the right thing.

I've seen those, and indeed, he did put some guy in prison but do we know for sure that that is her ex? Not being snarky. It's a sincere question because the places I've seen it don't show a thread leading all the way back to her. Just a court document that shows JM as prosecutor and then that guys lengthy prison record.

Who has theatened her. Where is the evidence?

Praying for the Alexanders tonight. I hope Travis is offering them some comfort. I hope peace comes soon and that time can somewhat mend the wounds that keep ripping open. I hope karma takes care of the Inmate who doesn't even deserve to be mentioned by name and all of her rabid crazed followers as well.

Looking at all the overwhelming support for Travis and his family gives me comfort and hope that good can still triumph over evil, even if the justice system is horribly warped. Like Tanisha said, God will get it right in the afterlife. He doesn't make mistakes

I hope the Inmate is seething in her cell tonight. 11-1 baby, 11-1.

Hearing the jurors speak (the 11 relevant jurors anyway) has comforted me so much and I pray it offers some comfort to Travis's loved ones as well.

I'm going to miss my friends here. Two years here. See you in April

Do we know what is asked on the juror questionnaire? Wouldn't they, as a rule ask about relatives and crimes/convictions? If so, and she lied...can she be prosecuted?

If Juan really prosecuted her husband and she knew about it, she should have removed herself.

Years ago my uncle was excused as a juror because one of the lawyers in the case had represented my dad, his brother, 10 years before. The lawyer told him out of court that was definitely the right thing to do.

Maybe the AZ taxpayers can sue. #17 wasted all that court's time and money. Usually the judge asks the jurors almost daily if there is any reason they can or should not continue as a juror.
:maddening:

I agree with you, she SHOULD have removed herself, but may have been a reason she wanted to get on the jury, to exact her own form of "revenge".

Why didn't the judge, Sherry, remove her? Yes....I know.....trembling in fear of an appeal.

I see where a lot of this 'research' into juror 17 has come from .. all I'm going to say on that is consider the source, this 'researcher' has been wrong before, and caused a lot of harm during this trial for a number of people.

Just catching up and this may have been discussed, from my take listening to the jury interview. She did not bring evidence regarding the movie, only her impression from the movie was that Jodi was a monster and then seeing her in court and listening to the evidence she changed her mind and decided that Jodi was mentally ill and was not able to deal with her relationship with Travis. In no way am I defending this Juror.

My heart goes out to Travis's family and friends. I pray that they will be able to move on.

Some of today's tweets regarding the hold out(start at the bottom..), apparently she had sent her own secret note! to the judge when the other jurors told her they wanted to request an alternate because she wouldn't deliberate(give them any single piece of evidence to back up her position), they even let her read what they were going to ask:

Dr. Dennis Elias is a <mod snip>......other than that, threats from twitter? Maybe her adoring hubby should stay away from the media....

Gee, I don't see them mention that ALL of the other jurors info was posted on JA's innocent site, except for this 17th "saviour".... where's the outrage about that?

I was wondering...if someone is already convicted of murder by the State, can Federal charges for murder be filed? I know it may be overkill (sheesh, did I just type that???), but just thought- crossing state lines to commit a crime is a criminal (Federal) offense, isn't it? Would it have to be decided in the beginning how JA would have been charged? Was charging her at the Federal level ever considered? Just curious.

No words yet...just marking my spot.

Since MDLR set up a three way call between JA and one of her supporters and at least one person from the JAII site was talked about on that call, I don't think it was a troll. MDLR appears to not know what the word professional means.

MOO

BBM

But but but...she dresses like a "pro"? :happydance:

Yes, it's juvenile of me.

I did read it and it comes down to the same as whoever it is that is posting documents about her ex on twitter. Just something posted on twitter. (Possibly? since they didn't show screenshots in the article of said threats)

That article was pretty one-sided considering what it offered in regards to the rest of the whole jury.."Their statements about this, that, or the other thing being the reason are nothing but their own imagination, because they don't know, they are very frustrated and I can understand that," said Elias.

Sorry, but they DO know what she did and said in that deliberation room. He is the one using his imagination.

and btw. I did finally see the other document that listed 17 and her ex named in a court case. If the documents are legit, he is her ex and JM sent him to prison. Guess it could be some other lady with the same name tho.
