If Jodi Arias, in her perfect world (which will never happen) ever got a new trial, I wonder what NEW creative trial strategy she'd come up with. Let's see we've covered she wasn't there, the Ninjas did it, self defense, blame the victim, what's left? His roommate did it? Aliens? Santa Claus? Someone else who climbed in thru the doggie door?

I think she already tried blaming the roommate.

That's not a basis for appeal, she had her opportunity to present that during the trial. Appeals are about errors that occurred in the trial, it's not a simple do-over. There has to have been a major mistake made by one the players, usually the state, to win an appeal. She can't just say, "Hey! I lost, I want another chance!" doesn't work that way.

correct me if I am wrong but all this appeal talk...she can file but they have to agree to hear it right? and that there is solid grounds for appeal...does anyone really think the appeals court in AZ is going to waste more time and money on her????? i don't think there is even a remote chance of it.

Thank you for saying this,Steve because that's what I thought. Even if she tried to pull the self defense crap,there was so much overkill in the murder. Also, the 1st jury said it was premeditated with evidence that they reviewed. But,I think CMJA is such a narcissist that she will look for any publicity. Hopefully, eventually she'll become old news and we'll slowly stop hearing about her.

I want to know what time the jurors left the courthouse (17 mainly), what time the reporter spoke to the husband, was 17 home at the time, had she JUST walked in the door before husband spoke to the reporter.

If the time line shows that 17 did NOT have time to talk to husband before he did his on camera interview then that points to juror misconduct on her part. Meaning she was talking to him about the trial while it was on going.

Not really. She could have talked to him on the phone from the courthouse immediately after JSS released them from the admonition.

Beth said juror 17s likes on FB included anti sheriff joe, something about anti law enforcement.
Beth visited a friend housed in perryville, prisoner said word is ja is very well liked in perryville.

Anne said she believes Jodi will be well liked in prison as she has found when visiting a ca prison where Manson women prisoners are housed, those women are very well liked.

Dwayne well imo he is just a pointless fool, never liked him the first trial like him less now.

So sounds to me like ja is going to love her new home and be the bell of the ball.

Ugggg I need to get far away from this mess, taking years off my life...

Tears for the Alexander family and friends, my heart breaks and aches for them.

I worry for my unmarried grandchildren and great grandchildren. That they might encounter a ja. I really do. I have a granddaughter that moved 3000 miles away from all of her family to get away from a boyfriend,thankfully she is a psych nurse another had to get a restraining order while in college against a girl.

I pray a lesson learned from all of this is women can be as dangerous as men and will be judged less!!!

IIRC, CMJA is also part of that suit alleging the DP is unconstitutional. Since she was not given the DP, would she still be part of that suit? And is that considered a civil suit?

I hope we find out what the judge and the attorneys talked to her about after the lunch break on 10-24-14. Court ended early that day, everyone was dismissed and #17 was asked to stay behind.

That's correct, and it's not a matter of wasting time. They have to at least read her claim. Then they decide if they feel it has merit or not. As far as I know they can reject it then and there if they feel it's bs. I don't know all the steps and so forth. Maybe AZlawyer will come in and give us the whole scoop. I know she said it's not easy even getting past that first step.

Yea and she already claimed self-defense in the first trial. The jury didn't buy it. The first day she was on the stand, her lawyers asked her what happened, and she said, "The simple answer is he attacked me, and I defended myself." That's self-defense, and at the end of the trial (I'm talking about the first trial, guilt phase), the jury said, "BS".

- Juror #17's husband -- he did an interview -- oh wait, it was "anonymous" but he talked.

- JAII website
- JA
- JA's family/friends/supporters who were involved with MLDR, JAII, etc.
- The Defense Team
- ALL Social Media accounts, e-mails, texts, etc. of all of the above.

His wife could have texted him after the verdict was announced. I'm sure the county will be scrutinizing her phone records if you know what I mean, and most likely his as well.
