JSS apparently has a woman on her staff that is very Pro-Jodi. I believe her name is Janet, last I heard she is still there.

Who knows how close JSS and her are ? I'm beginning to understand better why JSS may have seemed somewhat unfair to Juan during this entire trial.

If JSS and her close friend and confidant Janet had a bunch of girly-girly talks, hung out at the pool on the weekends, went to dinner after court, and attended the same Christmas parties, who knows how much of Janet may have rubbed off on JSS ??

I had a pretty good feeling that JSS was going to hit Jodi with the maximum LWOP up until this Janet surfaced a few days ago.

Now I have no idea what to think. It seems like maybe even the Judge herself has been tainted during this process.

:seeya:

I hope we learn more about this "Janet" from JSS courtroom ...

And to quote/paraphrase a poster here that used to have this in their siggy [apologies I can't remember who it was]:

Where there's stink, there's hink !

:moo:

At you really going to bed, or are you going to the casino??!! ;0)

Hahahaha! Believe it or not we're going today and coming home Friday. I really need to take a break from WS. But I always take my computer for the times that I lose all my money in 2 hours. Sooo, I'll probably catch you early tonight!

How would the two investigative journalists get in trouble?

Don't they also have a right to protect their inside sources like any other journalists?

I would think the Shield Law would include them.

Often we hear in the media from their inside sources that certain people or agencies are being investigated even though the investigators refuse to reveal it in the media/publicly. It really isn't odd for reporters or investigative journalists to receive information that others don't.

Whoever let them see the documents is someone who trust them I would think. I sure don't think that JT would make this up. It was said that all the information/documents have been seized so this sounds like it has been an ongoing investigation for some time.

It isn't uncommon for a police agency to pose as a sympathizer on a certain site so they can gain the trust of those who run it. Sometimes they will be on the site for many months or years. It seems to me there was someone on that site posing as a Jodi-ite but instead was gathering information needed for the investigation.

JMO

I didn't mean the journalists would get in trouble, I meant to say the bank could get in trouble for releasing that information to the press. After reading your post, as well as others, I can see that this information is probably being obtained from a source working the investigation and not the banks or FBI headquarters.

I also don't think either journalist is making this up or exaggerating the information they have uncovered, kudos to them if they have obtained this information.

I'll bet CMJA is kicking herself In the rear for asking for a delay on sentencing. Time and time again Jodi arias is her own worst enemy.

Another lie. JA gets lost on her way to Utah, but then says: "I had my GPS the whole time". WOW Flores has the patience of a saint.

Did you get to the part where Jodi said she lived there? Amazing huh?

Heh, I was just thinking the very same thing. It's more like she invited herself into his house whenever she felt like it. But she never lived there -- and certainly not "for months". It's laughable how pathetic her lies are. One right after the other. They never stop.

That's probably why Travis was always cleaning and vacuuming his house -- to remover her genetic material from his house after every time she was there.

Just thinking about PPL. I'd love to know what out resident lawyers have to say about this service. I know someone who has a service like this. Wondering if it worthwhile and what it might be good for. I remember how what's his name, who worked for them, didn't have a lawyer that he could call when on the stand. That tells me that 1) PPL is a scam or 2) he is a complete idiot or 3) both.

As far as PPL is concerned; I had a co-worker friend who had PPL insurance for 3 years, she paid a monthly fee, a little over $30.00, it's a sham. When she needed it for a minor matter they gave her the run around and didn't help her. She was very upset that she had wasted her money and at one point she was thinking of joining the band wagon and selling PPL. SAD!!!!

@juanstie: Please read Christine's statement.

:seeya: Thanks, Meemaw !

Basically, the investigation is for real but cannot reveal any documents as it would compromise the investigation !

It does confirm that a "high level source" is involved in the case and investigations ... BUT ... cannot confirm which agency is leading the investigation, or which bank, etc. !

:gaah: We know about as much now as we knew yesterday !

..or possibly someone that was contacted during the investigation because they had contributed $ ? As somebody said above, that this could be a person(s) who was spending money to pretend they were pro Jodi. It would be funny if the amount that they have contributed was the amount that was in the article.

Now that would be investigative journalism lol. May not be the case, but one can dream and speculate

I am absolutely hopeless at anything financial, beyond my own little bank account. Before this week's news fades away, I took a little trip over to J4J to remind myself of the 'Legal Fund' info posted there.

In brief, this is how it is described:

Irrevocable gift trust; express purpose of paying legal fees associated with appeals; may include attorney retainers, investigator retainers, experts, mitigation, and court filing fees.

The Alexanders will seek to get as much money as they can from Jodi. The money in the Legal Defense Fund does not belong to Jodi. The trust is not in her name, does not control it, does not have access to it.

Any money remaining after appeals will be given to two nonprofit organizations. These instructions are built into the trust.

The trustee is Sue Allen Halterman; she had an attorney structure the trust so that she may not use any of the funds for herself; she refused the option to take a monthly trustee fee. Replacement trustees are named in trust if she steps down.

Any comments from the financial whizzes here?

:twocents:

JMO but I have ZERO confidence that JSS will choose the appropriate sentence for JA, which should be LWOP !

I have always felt JSS would give JA LWP ... BUT with all these developments since hung jury announcement, ALL EYES are on JSS ! So ... JSS better sentence JA to LWOP !

BUT then again, this IS JSS's courtroom, where Jodi and her DT were allowed to RULE her courtroom: delays, shenanigans, secret in chamber meetings, closed courtrooms, etc etc etc occurred daily !

I expect a lot of shenanigans from JA and her DT when the time comes for JSS to hand down that sentence ...

That's how JSS's courtroom rolls :gaah: !

Speaking of Sherry and her apparent lack of decision-making... does anyone know who has the final say if Arias is to appear in court for her sentencing wearing a black and white striped potato sack, or wearing Dolce Gabbana, walking on Gucci's and accessorized by Harry Winston?

Well, Arias, of course. She may even choose to do another runway walk down the aisle to the defence table!

I can't understand why they even talked about this, let it be investigated. Stay out of it if there is true concern.. Guess I am just old but less is more imo.

The internet doesn't need to know imo

Det. Flores is on local t.v now. Mass shooting in Mesa, AZ Don't know anything other than an active shooter situation.
O.T. sorry. Four people shot. At least four different locations but they think only one shooter. Community College on lockdown.

Edited to add Det. Flores is doing a great job as PIO.
