My daughter, who doesn't know much at all about this trial, heard a few snippets yesterday on HLN and said "Well no wonder the girl is messed up....she was sexually abused!"

My neighbor last night (who tried to call me several times during the day but I had turned my phone off *giggle* ) said she heard about the sex abuse and can understand now why Casey is the way she is.

Both these women are full of common sense so those 2 comments of theirs really made me anxious.

Me? I was molested and yet I can say with 100% conviction that Casey was NOT sexually abused as a child.

I don't believe it for a nanosecond. Now, I can believe that she tried George's patience to the point of his trying to give her a smack. She's an extremely disrespectful little brat as we have witnessed via her phone calls from jail. She didn't just get that way after her arrest. She's brazen. Everything we have seen of her is nothing but a smug and arrogant snotnose.

I wish they put her on the stand....I'd love to see her totally macerated by a good prosecutor.

this is why defendants are so fast to leap on the sex abuse train - because people just dont want to believe a cute young white woman (in this case, in diane downs' case, in susan smith's case, I can go on but these are big names) would coldly murder a beautiful child. saying it was sex abuse they're like, ooohhh, so the world isnt THAT insane...it's only THIS insane.

The jails and long term mental health facilities are full of sociopaths and 99% never allege sexual abuse or abuse of any kind. But they caused their families lots of grief. Many of them actually killed one or both parents.

Recalling the little conference that Casey had with detectives after reaching the end of the hallway at Universal: She wasn't under arrest, she wasn't in custody and these men were desperately trying to track down her missing daughter.

She was given many assurances of help and protection in case she felt threatened or ashamed and was afraid to tell the truth. She lied, and lied, and lied some more, and now has professionals to do her lying for her.

I agree with you. I was married to one and I learned after divorcing him that he was in a home for troubled youths from a very early age. His family could not handle him. They don't form any bonds or have normal emotions - they are 100% self-serving. In order to survive they have to suck the life out of everyone around them, take all they can. They are terrifying people, because on the outside it's very hard to see who they really are.

I've posted about this previously, and while reading threads this evening and trying to relax after this day of side bars, I also heard 2 different callers on 2 different talk shows who said the exact same thing. Which is:

A sexually abused female will do anything to keep her child/children safe from the same fate. She will not allow them to be alone with anyone who poses a potential threat, and especially will not allow them to be alone with her own abuser. I can definitely attest to this one.

ICA allowed Caylee to be in bed with Ricardo.
ICA left Caylee with her father while she was gone.
ICA let her father help Caylee with personal hygiene and potty training.

There is no way on the face of this earth an abused mother would have allowed this to go on in her presence and she would have ensured her girl child was not alone with any man - much less the abuser.

I just will never be convinced otherwise - never.

ONE OTHER MAJOR POINT:

Does anyone remember sexual abuse, physical abuse, or family history of same being asked of the jurors? Did the DT ask even one female if anyone in their family had ever been abused?

Not that I heard about - please correct me if I am wrong here.

I have PTSD from childhood abuse and I don't buy it for a minute...and I always side with the victim...in this case the victim is Caylee!

I believe George sexually molested Cayce. She has all the symptoms of an incest victim.
I know from my own experience with my daughter who was a victim of molestation. She is now 49 years old and she didn't tell me until she was 18.
She has been in and out of trouble, lying, drugs, secrets, not trusting anyone,etc.
I saw George Anthony on the stand when he lowered his head and paused before saying no to the question. And how far along was she before her own dad knewshe was pregnant ??? BS! Why was it kept such a secret. We will find out when this is over.
I used to tell my husband long before the trial I thought Cayce was a victim of molestation and he agreed.
I think she will walk out of the courtroom with time served but not before she takes the stand in her own defense.
Yes. I believe she will testify. Molestation victims have a way of blocking things out like they never happened, almost like I will start my life over form here.

I have not responded to this post on purpose,wanted to give some thought to George A and the situation before posting. No I do not think GA molested ICA,however I was taken aback at how he responded when asked on the stand if he had ever molested his daughter,my husband said "they would have had to carry me out of there,yelling and screaming",I also look to my father (May God rest his soul) I know If I had accused my father of something like that he would have turned that court room out. IMHO his answer did not register the outrage an innocent man/father should have had. Was he on medication?,I don't know,was he in fear of loosing his seat in court? IMHO they could have had that seat,before they destroyed my good name. I also am not comfortable with the fact he was in the delivery room with his daughter,when I look back I know my father would not have been comfortable with that.I know this is a new time and age and to some this is an acceptable practice. I don't know,just voicing my opinion. IMHO this is something the men jurors will look at JMHO

I will admit, I thought for the longest time that GA could be Caylee's bio dad, because I couldn't imagine George and Cindy putting up with all of KC's thieving, lying, backstabbing, providing her constant support-- eh, it just made some sick sense. But, what this defense has presented, and how they presented it, is so salacious I have no doubt it's pure bullsh!

So actually, the defense has convinced one who had once considered it a possibility. That's pretty bad lawyerin'. mo
