Woman Who Taunted Kathleen Edward is Arrested

myFOXDetroit.com Staff - Jennifer Petkov was arrested today for 'assault using a dangerous weapon' after she allegedly tried to use her car to run over a neighbor. This is the same woman who had been taunting a dying little girl, Kathleen Edward of Trenton, by posting disturbing photos on Facebook.

Police in Trenton tell Fox 2 News that the neighbor Petkov allegedly tried to hit with her car, was not a member of Kathleen Edward's family or Rebecca Rose's family, Kathleen's grandmother.

Petkov remains in jail at this time, pending a bond of $7500 or 10% paid for release. Fox 2 has crews on the way to where she is being processed. Photos and a video report to come.

The only thing i truly believe she is sorry for is that her husband has lost his job...she should have thought of the consequences to her vengeful behavior.

This vile person is indeed very personality disordered. She thinks the community is out to get her and she's jealous of support of a family whose daughter died? That's crazy. And her husband did nothing to stop her. He let it go on even though he has children of his own and must be able to imagine the pain of losing one of them.
And the creep lawyer? I'm sorry. Heck no! He tries to turn it around as if it was just a two-way spat. I don't believe it for a moment. One woman and her husband decided to harass another family because they are trashy and jealous, horrid people. There was no dispute, just harassment and the intentional infliction of emotional distress. He also said that petkov only had it up (the offensive images) for an hour but that others made other facebook sites. He says it's amazing how people can abuse the internet. No, his sick client is the one who did that. No way could I ever represent such filth, nor try to minimize what they did. I'm sorry.
I don't think these people should ever be employed by anyone else again, except perhaps by a chain gang somewhere. They really deserve everything coming to them. Such people cannot change and be rehabilitated. I think they should not be able to parent their poor kids either. Any parent who can mock another m other for the death of her child and then harass an innocent, dying girl, cannot safely parent their own, IMO. I cannot imagine how horrible their lives are, those poor kids. No, they should be taken out of their custody a.s.a.p.
Sorry for the rant but with this and Zahra Baker, my tolerance level has taken an incredible hit. I'm still so angry about this days later!
We as a society cannot stand by and let this kind of thing happen without repercussions. This couple needs to be sued, jailed and left with nothing. No apology can ever make up for what they did. Nothing can. The damage has been done and it cannot be taken back. I hope the state watches out for their poor kids who did not deserve such parents.

Gitana - That was a beautiful rant. I'm with ya all the way. To have these people, who have already suffered such devastation, be the the recipient of such vile, ugly actions is more than I can stand. This really hit me in the pit of my stomach. It goes totally against my grain to wish bad things on anyone, but I wish bad things for these people. It takes a lot to make me say something like that. As they have no problem wishing bad on other people, I will return them the favor.

Woman Accused of Taunting Kathleen Edward Charged with Assault

TRENTON, Mich. - For the past few days, people haven't been focused of Jennifer Petkov and that awful Facebook page. They've been focused on Kathleen Edward and showing her all of the support possible. However, it now appears Petkov's alleged bad behavior has her right back in the spotlight and this time she could end up in jail.

"Last summer, she threatened me. Told me she was going to kill me," said Tana Boling.

As if Jennifer Petkov needs any more negative attention. The woman accused of taunting a terminally ill seven-year-old and her family is now accused of trying to run another neighbor over with her car.

I kinda, almost, sorta felt sorry at first when I heard about him losing his job. I hate to hear of ANYONE losing their jobs these days. But, even if he is sort of blaming his wife and she is taking all the blame (now), at the very beginning he stood BY her! On TV! So, they all, with the exception of their children, at least until we hear otherwise, deserve whatever hell comes their way. This is just sick. And sorry, but those "apologies" hold no water with me.

BTW, I also heard that story about those bullies laughing at the funeral! I swear I almost vomited. That somehow was almost sicker to me. Just disgusting. Why were they allowed to attend in the first place?

A white limousine picked Kathleen Edward up today and drove her to a toy store in Ann Arbor with police as her escort. When the girl got there, she walked on a red carpet, red rose petals were tossed at her, and the crowd cheered. Kathleen was told to pick out anything she wanted from the store and she did, shopping for about two hours.

The first thing Kathleen picked out at Tree Town Toys in Ann Arbor was a frog. It was a gift for her father because Kathleen knows he likes them. “She’s the most caring person in the world,” said her dad, Robert Edward. She’s always thinking of others, he added.

Oh now this is just too funny! When will these 2 ever stop? :rolling::rolling: This is being talked about all over the place so I tracked down the source.

Scott wrote to a radio show undercover trying to play like he is a neighbor of himself, trying to act like the Petkov's are good people. Unfortunately Scott didn't realize his name shows up in the From line. So the show found out it was really him. They then read the entire e-mail on air (including all the spelling mistakes). If you missed it they put it on their site.

Here is his e-mail... :laugh:

I read about this in the news - I was so disgusted. It was even run in some British papers. I don't think anyone can believe how vile these people are.

I agree with whomever upthread said they wished someone would look at the home life. If this is how they behave towards their neighbors, I do wonder how they treat their children.
 
I recently found this story and did a search. I found a website that had posters who were actually making fun of the little girl and her situation. I am not sure if I am allowed to post the link to that website but its title is "documenting Reality" and it is temporarily down due to technical problems' It is a gore site so I suppose I should have expected as much from its posters, although I did find an informational forum included in that site.


It amazes me what not only immature children are capable of, but what adults are capable of also.

I homeschool my children, except for my college-aged daughter and my high school senior. Over the past three years, watching the news, I know that we have made the right decision.

If convicted of felonious assault, Jennifer Petkov, 33, of Trenton could face up to four years in prison. The charge of reckless driving is a misdemeanor and carries a sentence of up to 93 days in jail.

The driving incident was witnessed by two people. Police were told that Petkov was in a red Impala in her driveway, with the vehicle facing the street. The witnesses said Petkov then attempted to run over the woman as she was crossing the street.

Her family paid $7,500 of her $75,000 bond to get her out of jail, and made no comment to waiting journalists when they brought her home.

The Petkov family lawyer said the incident was blown out of proportion, and that the Petkovs have surveillance footage from cameras set up on their house to prove it.
He believes the footage will be enough to convince the prosecutor to drop the charges.


Petkov family friend Jarred Hurd, who claims to have seen footage of the incident captured on the Petkovs' cameras, said: 'I think they [Mrs Boling] have over-exaggerated a lot on it.
 
Man that woman is jacked up crazy. Are any of the facebook sites up, the one that bash her ...I tired to find it but I cant. Her ignorant cruel actions will most likely ruin her own childrens lives. Those kids need to go live somewhere else and have a chance to get a way from psycho mother and enabler father.

Kathleen is a beautifull sweet girl and deserves all the love and support she can get, and so does her dad.
 
It sickens me that the court made a decision on bail. 75,000$ but she only needs 10% of that to get out. What in the heck is the point of bail then?

The charge in my opinion is as bad as attempted murder. When you go after someone with a vehicle you are most likely going to kill them. If someone is crazy enough to do that, there should be NO bail until trial. This b.s. of letting her out with out even having to pay her full bail? Horrific! :furious:
