At a press conference Friday morning, Dr. Sarah King with MUSC said a male patient was reported by Department of Health and Environmental Control officials with Ebola-like symptoms. He was transported from his home in an isolation pod and put into quarantined space in the hospital.

The article also says: "CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- The Medical University of South Carolina said Friday afternoon the patient that traggered its Ebola virus protocol has no risk of having the virus.

"In consultation with DHEC, CDC, and the Department of Defense, it has been confirmed the patient had no contact with anyone in Liberia, and based on this information, he has been determined to have no risk for Ebola. The patient will be removed from Ebola precautions, and no quarantine will be required," officials said in a statement."

I am curious how they would be able to get a hold of the virus.

Well, the first thing we have to remember is that the terrorists attach no value to life, theirs or anyone else's. They also appear to have access to lots of money. They could just make a trip to one of the affected countries & retrieve some of the medical waste & they would then have a weapon of mass destruction. I'm not sure how long the virus would survive in a test tube.............hopefully not long enough to be of any danger to anyone other than the bad guy who went to collect it.

Eric Duncan's family has reached a resolution with Dallas Presbyterian Hospital. In addition to setting up a charitable trust to help victims in West Africa, the settlement will provide for Duncan's parents & his 4 children. Louise, Duncan's fiancé does not benefit in any way & her son with Duncan did not even know a settlement had been reached on his behalf.
