I don't see a motiv for deedee IMHO. Yes she's money hungry and evil, but I don't think Elisa had anything to offer her. I don't see money being a motiv at all with Elisa bc I don't remember hearing that her wallet/money was stolen from her room. I also think if she would have been forced to go to he ATM LAPD would have video of her withdrawing money.

I think we should all think of this first order of business and theorize on it (supposing foul play is involved):

What could a potential motiv in this crime be?

Unfortunately it has not cleared it up for me. I cannot see the posting dates on the tumblr entries and do not see where she stated the Speakeasy was in San Diego. Do you have a reliable source link that contradicts the other news sites that say that arrived in Los Angeles on the 26th?

Later on the 27th is when she posted about going out.

The Tumblr is set up so that you can move your cursor over the journal entry and the date of the entry will pop up before you click/follow the picture of the journal to its link.

So if she said she was in SD on the 25th and on the 27th.... Why would the LApD say she arrived in LA on the 26th??????!

That is the question now.

Notice some of the picture boxes have only text in them w a gray background. Some of those texts are tagged quotes from other people.

Find the boxes with text corresponding to the 25th (furthest down) where she mentions being in San Diego and staying in the hostel there. Then up further you will find another picture in the same vain dated for the 27th where she mentions first the Going out and another on the 27th noting the speakeasy was awesome. She doesn't post again until the 29th when she announces she arrived in lala land or LA.

Also I have read that certain themes can be responsible for an inaccurate time stamp.

This just poses more questions for me. If she did indeed arrive in L.A. on the 26th as the police and news agencies reported, could she be intentionally changing dates to ward off the creepers she referenced? How long was she without a phone and could that have delayed posts?

I really wish there was an update. I felt certain that this was an accidental death but the long delay now has me questioning it. If someone did have access to her phone, then they would probably be able to figure out where she was staying and her itinerary The fact that the police did not want to talk about her phone also is not sitting well with me now.

The dates were a little confusing to me early on, so I e-mailed a reporter, who wanted to remain anonymous, to clarify dates. She conveyed that LE knows that EL arrived at LAX on Jan 26. She flew to LA, then took a train or bus to San Diego. She was back in LA before the 29th as Huffington Post reports she checked into the Cecil on Jan 28th (according to KTLA). They believe that LA was a "hub" for her travel up and down the coast.

I think we are confusing that arrival means she was already staying at the Cecil on the 26th. It really would be more clear if they just reported she arrived in California and not use LA because she was only passing through until she returned from San Diego.

In looking at her Tumblr for itinerary, we have to be careful with assuming too much. We are taking her announcement that she arrived in LA on the 29th as the actual date she checked in. I see this as she checked in to the Cecil late on the 28th and announced to everyone the next morning that she was finally in LA. As for the 25th...she missed a flight somewhere; could that be what she was referring to?

Thanks Conductor-that does make much more sense. It is probably cheaper to fly into Los Angeles than San Diego and since she was presumably on a budget that would fit. I did not think that LE would intentionally put out wrong info or have the info wrong themselves.

I went back to some of the earliest reports because they often contain less guarded responses from LE. I ran across this audio recording of a press conference with LAPD and LAFD just as they were arriving at the scene. There were some interesting things said.

The body was found at the bottom of the tank. They also mentioned how difficult it was to see through the water. This seems to imply that something else like a blocked valve or pipe would have been only way she would have been discovered until refloat occurred. Maybe this is why reporters are using term "wedged". It also explains why it took LAFD 5 hours to extract her body so as not to disturb evidence.

This is something to ponder, maybe...the fire chief describes the water tanks as 6 ft tall and tank was only 3/4 full. They made a point of stressing this. This means the water depth may have only been 5 ft or so. I know a person can die in mere inches of water, but I wonder if she actually could have stood upright with her head fully clearing the water?

The intention of her trip was to take a vacation from San Diego all the way up to Santa Cruz. She was supposed to head on to Santa Cruz after LA to Check out an organic farm.

Yes, here in CA (I live here!) ppl fly into LA. It is cheaper and houses international flights.

*** SO if Elisa were in San Diego by the 25th, this means she would have flown into LA BEFORE Jan. 25.

This January 26th date put out by media is not consistent with her tumblr and own itenerary/word/evidence of her whereabouts.

What I am saying is rational. Her Tumblr dates for her own journals have not changed since this investigation began. Ive been checking it regularly to make sure. Your assertion that ppls journals can change date without their consent is WRONG. Have you ever used Tumblr?

And I don't trust the LAPD coompletely being from here. There are so many scandals with that bunch. Rodney King anyone? <---most known example

Poor Elisa was at the bottom of the tank bc the tanks work off a pumping system. Essentially the pipe that drains the water from the tank pulled Elisa's body down and her body covered that drain from the tank, causing the water pressure to go down.

Conductor71, what would be the importance of Elisa being able to stand in the water? I'm interested in where you are going with your theory.
