“I find the information on this guy, that they’re looking for him. and that to me was so suspicious. then i asked myself, wow who the hell did we have in our house?”
Aguilar then found a number for Diana’s family on social media and told them what happened.
He says Guerrero gave him a fake name, but he’s 100 percent sure it was the same man.
Deputies questioned Aguilar about Guerrero’s stay.

Thanks 2Hope4! I don't know how to share the links from my tablet!

Were deputies at the home TODAY? If so, then I don't see how they would find evidence he was there after all the people that have been in the home since last Sunday! The home was taped off for several days. I would think they would have found evidence at that point, however Jorge had been staying there for months so his DNA is going to be there, so will his fingerprints!

If Jorge was in Orlando for two days, staying with a stranger, and giving him a fake name, he didn't have Diana with him! That was on Tuesday!! So, something happened to Diana between Sunday early morning, and Tuesday! I don't like this one bit. Nope. :gaah:

“I feel like he took advantage of me, that he took me for a fool.”
But at the time he didn’t know the man was Jorge Guerrero.
“I saw he was all wet and well i didn’t think he was suspicious. on the contrary, i thought he was just a person that needed help.”
Aguilar says he let him stay at his home for two days, and on Thursday, Guerrero left, finding a ride to Okeechobee.
Later that day, Aguilar saw the Amber alert

Oh boy. I don't think this case is going to have a good outcome. LE better start searching in bodies of water.

Also, that means he probably didn't have time to drive to Texas or Arizona.

I don't like this either :(

Interesting. I'm not sure what they would be looking for since they've already searched...

This isn't good.
If this is true then the alleged trip to Arizona did not happen. Or vise versa.
Hope DNA and fingerprints can verify it it was him. Or cameras from the restaurant.

I really really hope we aren't looking at a Shaniya Davis situation here where the perp took Diana to a motel for sexual purposes and then he killed and dumped her remains soon after. The comments he is alleged to have made about her appearance are alarming and not normal behaviour.

Watch the video. There's a few things that isn't mentioned in the article below.

The deputies/investigators were at the family home, but they may have been updating the family on what is going on, video didn't say they were collecting evidence.

Jorge lived in that area for 4 yrs, Okd area, before living with the family.

Because of high profile case, might take up to 72 hrs to book Jorge. If he is booked he'll be court tomorrow.

Family and friends say investigators had Jorge's name, and photo on Sunday when she was reported missing.

Family still has questions, and don't know if he has been formally arrested.

This sounds really fishy to me. Why in the heck didn't he call LE after he saw the amber alert? When did the car come into play that was on the amber alert?

 If Jorge was in Orlando on Tuesday, asking for a place to stay, I wonder if he had his car then? Because he supposively found a ride on Thursday and left Orlando. WHERE WAS THE CAR? WHY stay in Orlando at a stranger's?? Why ditch the car so quickly when nothing in the news had mentioned his car. Though the parents calling him would have alerted they suspected he may have Diana, and if he did, he knew it was a matter of time before police were involved, and description of his vehicle given to the public. But, unless the vehicle broke down, he could have used it to get away, rather than staying at a stranger's home for 2 days. Baffling!

What does this being a high profile case have to do with the amount of time it takes to book him?

I think maybe there's either distrust with LE, or fear, and that's why the family kept giving their phone number out for people to call instead of calling 911. The problem though, is by the time the family gets the tip, notifies LE, and LE then has to track down the tip and verify it, then lots of time wasted. Maybe one of the reasons one report said to notify LE immediately and not hours later.

:thinking:I don't know! But that's what the reporter said in that video. Didn't make sense to me either.

What day did the Step Mom comes down here to Fort Myers? I can't remember. Being wet can mean many things in Florida. Dropping your vehicle somewhere and then walking a long distance in 90 degree heat might drench you in sweat...or cutting through land where those big water canals are...just a few thoughts. *I think they need time to get LCSO there to question him and get him to confess. It doesn't surprise me the man contacted the family directly through social media...language issues..fear of LE.

Maybe it was pouring down rain and he was wet? I don't know. Seems they mentioned bad weather early in this case.
