Thank you!!!

YOu and me both.....I feel their whole life was to elevate and to accentuate his--they were HIS trophy children and she was supposed to be his Trophy wife ((after all she did have an enviable job with military in the past in her own right)) but it was ''all about him''(MOO)

Shortly after the murders he said something to the effect that he had it all...the beautiful wife (she was attractive once) the perfect and smart kids and a beautiful home and a great career. It was Julie over the years that was at the kids' games, school stuff etc. He was busy. This is all normal and okay but when 1/2 of the husband wife team is in this kind of crisis...something has to give. I do think he tried...the counseling etc. but as I said before you just can't get on a plane to the middle east and leave this mess...he so under estimated her illness and I know she had talked of suicide before...if for no other reason than you don't want her to kill herself you don't leave them there without someone else watching. Maybe when he is questioned by defense he can explain this more and maybe I'll change my mind.

I understand what you are saying, but I am going to withhold judgement of him because nobody truly knew what was going on inside that house other than the 4 people who lived there. If you look at the emails that have been released, you can see where PS was trying to communicate with JS doctors and was getting the kids and the family into counseling. IMO, I don't expect people to understand what it is like to be a homicide survivor unless they are one. Same here. After all, PS served our country with seeming professionalism and grace and we owe him the benefit of the doubt on this one. JMV

really???

who has the most to lose -- I have no doubt PS would gladly (vindictively) throw JS under the bus

if you are woman ((unemployed)) and your military officer husband is threatening to divorce you would you give him access to your confidential counselling records?

I applaud you Ravyne, I know you are determined to see the stipulation interaction. Don't miss the part where the judge became noticeably angry and said "I will not play games with you" to JS.

I was watching live and thought it was over for the day...when I heard Julie today. She speaks like she is really on alot of medication...but gets out what she needs to. She really irritated the judge.

When you see the family photos -- they are all gorgeous!! and it is hard to believe that JS is just a shell of her former self and it is all for naught....it's very sad

No matter what he is going through hell...I'm sure inside he blames himself...anyone would after seeing the results...he simply was trying very hard to keep life moving along as they knew it and failed to really understand how bad she was deteriorating every day...I guess he said the house was "calm" at the time he left...sure it was...Julie stayed in bed.

We don't know if she was "encouraged" to resign her commission though once they came stateside.

I think some couples have to make a decision sometimes when it comes to careers as to whose takes precedence and how you accommodate for it. I did. Now I am a trophy wife :D , well that is what I tell my DH.

While I think Julie needs to be found guilty for these murders...I can't just give Parker a pass. It seems help was offered from her family and not exactly welcome...his email seems to be a real trigger for Julie as it was written just days before the murder and he says""For those who have expressed your criticism about how I'm handling the current crisis or how I parent my children … I'll write off your criticism as ignorance,” . I just can't get by his leaving the kids in the house with her. I know the defense is going to ask him about the days leading up to it and I guess he can say just about anything because everyone that knew about that time are dead.

I still don't know why PS didn't file for a T-Con LPS temporary conservatorship over Julie when she was in the psych hospital. The psychiatrist usually recommends it and while commItted its gets the ball rolling and is granted in about 60 days. He could have easily got this within the 9 month hospital stay. Its an easy process even if she tries to fight it with an advocate. She was not functional at the time and T-cons are designed for this purpose. It would have made Parker and a co-conservator if another family member wanted in charge of her medical needs and hospital stays. Julie loses all rights. I bet defense brings this up. He knew about her chronic depression shortly after marriage. She needed someone in charge of her life.

This was covered in the LE interview....fratinizing is discouraged in the military so JS & PS got married on the sly....she gave up her post....and did not get severance or any perks...and during interview it was revealed that at some point JS was subordinate to PS and that raises flags..and she was stay at home mom (((perfectly respectable profession in my view))))---hubby was on fast track he was colonel when they got married and ""should'' have been general by now (((can't all be JS's fault - could it))) even LE when he heard that he was colonel when they got married said, "he should be making general then and JS replied, 'No he's taken a post with civilian company and will be retiring soon"

BZ that you are a trophy wife ---

New one, what does BZ stand for?

Hopefully Dr. Obregon who prescribed all those medications for JS will take the stand. In taking a look at his limited bio on line he is young and only been in practice since 2008 it seems. His speciality is children and adolescents so maybe he was seeing all of them. Clearly he is another one in her life that did not fully appreciate her illness. I believe he is the doc that PS was hoping would share more info on all the drugs etc. but did not. With his name on all those prescriptions he will be in full self protection mode.

Dr kept informing PS in emails due to Consent to release medical information form not being signed or told by Julie it was Ok his hands were tied due to hipaa laws.

This is where the conservatorship would have been something that could have saved the children's lives.

Respectfully let us pray that he did not fall under her spell and do her a favor that comes back to haunt him and ruin his life

Hindsight is always 20/20 isn't it. I wish someone could have advised him of all you suggested. What a tragic loss for all.

That's was a lot of responsibility for a very sick woman alcohol and drug problems included to cook, run errands and hold down the fort for 10 days especially with your own children bullying you. I don't care if she said "I got it" he knew the problems in that family and what a sick unreliable puppy she was.

She was a train wreck waiting to happen. Didn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out.

Would them marrying on the sly while she was a subordinate have prevented him from becoming a General? Like it was considered a blemish on his record?
