I'm wondering if the defendant wasn't the one who insisted on a trial. With that king sized ego of his I believe he also insisted he testified even tho his attorneys were pleading with him not to. Yeah just like Jodi Arias.

I agree ... I also think he is one of those who insists to his family despite all the evidence to the contrary that 'I didn't do it, so why should I plead guilty to something I didn't do?'.

We had a tragic case over here. 15 year old kid lured a girl from school into the woods and bashed her head in with a rock. He even showed the body to a friend who reported it - he was arrested, tried, convicted. Left a trail of indisputable evidence all over the place. To this day his parents swear he's innocent because he keeps telling them he is.

I don't know how I would react if it was one of my kids up for murder one and I hope I never have to find out.I would hope that I could acknowledge the truth but continue to support my child.

I sort of expected the defendant to try to force out some tears for the jury...

Yes it's something I've thought about too.

I have great sympathy for both sets of parents in this case.

Five minutes for break and then more from the State or are we going to hear jury instructions?

The #PedroBravoTrial is in a short recess and the state will give their rebuttal when it resumes.

It took that attorney less than five minutes before he is in and out of sound range again!! :gaah:

Back from getting me some lunch nom nom nom.... is State back on? I am watching their closing right now.

Are the juror's even going to be able to deliberate today? This has sure been a long closing. imo

Hahahahaaaaa

Best line of the whole trial ....

"Having burnt his oesophagus twice ... once on the way down and again the way back up again. What does he do? Minutes later he's at McDonald's eating a Big Mac " :floorlaugh:

Never trust a lawyer when asked how long he'll speak and he replies 'Probably not very long.'

Even if judge allows them to go late tonight, I'm betting on (guilty) verdicts tomorrow.

I'm really surprised there hasn't been more interest in this trial here on Websleuths.

I have to say it's a credit to the US Justice System. Good police work, excellent prosecution case, good witnesses, a well run courtroom without constant objections and side bars. I admit the prosecution attorneys did go on a bit, but they left no stone unturned and it was a job well done.

I don't think the jury will take too long deciding this one.
