On an abstract assessment, I don't think she had 'grave fear' as such, about any of this, I think she felt secure in the future, as I get the impression that she feels it will be all sorted out for her by someone else. I don't think she thought about the possibility of the situation she is in now at all.
If she thought she could organise a contract killing, and get paid lots, and have some personal credibility and credit in the bank, and it would be as simple as that, she was wrong, and there seems to be some sort of disconnection to her demeanour, waiting for her saviour to sort this out.
She maybe worried - such as non contact with being instructed as to what to do and say - but I think shes been told not to say anything and hang in there, and it will be sorted out
for her - as long as she says nothing. And that's what she seems to be doing.
Possibly, she seems to think that she is somehow elevated above all this and that time and money will exonerate her.

Spending the money she did on her enhancement says to me that there was further money coming - or that there is other money already available, even in promise. It may well be that she has money tucked away somewhere and she felt secure enough to spend it.
I'm not saying that shes not a control freak and a manipulator. I just think where she is now, and the situation she is in is way above her head - it will be interesting to see what the assessment is.

Merely having a Personality Disorder will not work for an insanity defence. In order to successfully use the insanity defense, you have to prove that you are suffering from a very serious mental illness that prevents you from knowing right from wrong - an example would be a paranoid schizophrenic who commits a murder during a psychotic episode. People with Personality Disorders such as narcissism know perfectly well that what they are doing is wrong - they just don't care. Also, they think so highly of themselves that they believe they can get away with whatever crime they committed.

IMO - KM's lawyers could have requested the mental health hearing in an effort to lead her defense down one of the following paths -

1. convince the Court that KM is "unable to proceed because of a current mental impairment."
2. a defense of "yes KM did it but she was mentally impaired at the time of the crime".

my guess is it's #1. why? because #2 requires her to plead guilty, sell out the alleged masterminds, and is incompatible with the nature of her alleged involvement as "coordinator" of a very, very premeditated plot which required a lot of coordination, communication, amongst the parties. crime in the heat of passion would be compatible - not a weeks/months long premeditated murder for hire plot! also - IMO - KM's lawyers have their marching orders so of course they will not be advising her to sell out the alleged masterminds!!! #1 buys the alleged masterminds that much more time - what have i been saying all along? kick the can down the road and live to fight another day from the comfort of a Miami condo rather than a cold dark jail cell!

Yet, at some point, you can't continue to kick the can down
the road. They are going to have to answer for this sometime. And who wants to live in a comfy condo when tomorrow may be the day the hammer comes down and it's a cinder block cell. And, imagine the nice chunk of money that is being spent on everyone's legal fees. And then there's the current and/or potential loss of clients and prestige. Do they think everyone will eventually forget what happened and who was involved?

IMO - this "defense by proxy" of the alleged masterminds by KM's attorneys is a shotgun approach, not a rifle approach. i think they will use every legal trick at their disposal to protect the alleged masterminds. this mental health hearing is just one of many. they are going to throw as much fecal matter at the wall as possible and hope something sticks. diversion, delay, obfuscation. rinse and repeat. each additional day of freedom for the alleged masterminds is a win in their book.

Thanks for finding this information. I find it curious that neither her immediate family nor any member of her extended family has visited her while she is in jail. It further strains credibility that her immediate family is pooling their resources to fund her defense, yet they haven't had a chance to visit her during the 6 months of her incarceration.
