It's also unclear why she would find any classified documents in HER office. I assume her job would have been to read the task he assigned to her and then to file the document properly rather than under file folders in HER desk drawer.

If the classified documents were her drawer, then they weren't in his drawer. "Gee, I never had them."

And, if the assistant had them, they were not where they were supposed to be but yet accessible at will.

Handy little system.

IMO it appears that’s how the #45 WH operated.
Indeed; and that proof is in the fact that she handed these over to the authorities ... with Trump's handwritten "To Do" list all over the back of them. Makes it hard to argue they were intended for the Presidential Library. He obviously habitully treated classified documents as if they were intended for the Presidential Lavatory as shown in photo evidence.

He and his story are full of ...

You wonder how his lawyers can look at themselves in the mirror- knowing their client is a full blown out of control liar.

Trump Privately Frets He Could Be Headed to Prison

Would he be sent to a “club fed” style prison — or a “bad” one? Would he have Secret Service protection? And what would they make him wear? Those are some of the questions Donald Trump is asking his lawyers as his many trials loom

I am allowed to have library books, I'm allowed to take the library books. And, frankly, when I have library books they become not-library-books. People think you have to check the library books out through the library system - you don't, at least in my opinion, you don't.

I stack them up in my bathroom. Have some brought to my bedroom when I want to look through them and decide which ones I am going to keep, and which ones the library can come and get from my bathroom.
As a library employee, you have me ROLLING!
Thank you for the apropos analogy.

Unfortunately he would lose the tie in the Big House! Sad!

Wow. I am not even going to reproduce what trump has said. I have to wonder where the line is - the line between Freedom of Speech and Hate Speech.

I sure hope this article isn't paywalled for anyone, it wasn't for me.

The former president’s comments could potentially run afoul of his release conditions ahead of his trials related to the special counsel investigations against him in the Mar-a-Lago documents and 2020 election conspiracy cases. He has been warned to avoid publicly attacking court officers and potential witnesses on social media.

"My bet: Donald Trump is threatening General Milley because General Milley is on the government’s witness list for the trial in the Mar-a-Lago documents case," former New York Attorney General’s Office official Tristan Snell wrote on X on Saturday.

There is no low, there is no bottom, there is no end to the vile, ugly comments and threats that spew forth from his pie hole-- and nobody, no judge, no one has ever had the guts to punish him- no wonder he thinks he is above the law BECAUSE IN FACT HE IS TREATED AS A PERSON WHO IS IN FACT ABOVE THE LAW- I am exhausted of all things Trump- don't want to see his face, hear his voice or hear the next horrid thing the media will blast that he said---- I know when his face appears on my TV screen I change the channel.

And he has lots of supporters who feel he should be above the laws that all other Americans are held to. They, too, are part of the problem.

Why would Gen. Milley be on the witness list for the Mar-a-Lago documents case? That doesn't make a whit of sense to me.

Map of attack on a foreign nation, a classified document that trump retained and showed to a book author and others at Bedminster?
Yep; apparently it was General Milley who was questionned about the Top Secret Iran plan that Trump showed off during his recorded meeting with unauthorized persons at Bedminster.

This article from June 2023:

...
The July 2021 meeting was held at Trump’s golf club in Bedminster, ... The attendees, sources said, did not have security clearances that would allow them access to classified information. Meadows didn’t attend the meeting, sources said.
...
Investigators have questioned Milley about the episode in recent months, making him one of the highest-ranking national security officials from Trump’s administration to meet with the special counsel’s team.
...
This military officer has no issues with Generals speaking out about threats to their nation; it's what they are supposed to do. They do it all the time. Google Powell, General Schwarzkopf etc ... just a different kind of threat this time (and Trump is no longer President). Hell, just look at Ex-General Flynn beaking off (but now it's suddenly a problem ...).

snipped

"Trump loathed the positive coverage Milley received in the press and in books. In his post-presidency period, Trump fumed about Milley, who seemed to be portrayed as a hero, while he was cast as an insurrectionist. ...

...Trump's anger about Milley led him to be cavalier about what he said about the general, their interactions and policy decisions. It frustrated some Trump aides who noticed he would veer close to classified material in conversations."

And, as we know, the defendant did show classified materials to someone - at least once that has been recorded on audio tape. Perhaps there were other instances that we don't know about yet. Milley perhaps has information to share about all of that. We don't know yet, but it certainly would make a whit of sense. imo
