SOUTH DAYTONA -- The missing red car of an elderly woman who vanished two months ago reappeared on her street Saturday, bringing police back to the neighborhood three days after they found a man's corpse buried nearby.

The red Ford Taurus -- which still had Goldie Mae Robinson's handicap parking tag attached -- joined two other cars in police custody, all of them seized during the search for the elderly woman whose 78th birthday was Monday.

"It's just another piece of the puzzle falling together," Robinson's son Fred Roberts said after neighbors discovered the car Saturday. "Every little piece makes the whole puzzle, and I'm staying optimisitic that we're going to find my mom alive."

This is one sick family. I hope they check everywhere they have lived. There is no telling how long they have been doing this, or what other victims they have left behind.

Here's a few old booking mugshots:

Now, the ages do match for MDS's son and boyfriend, so I'm gonna link:

Okay, these won't link properly. Go here: you only need first name and
last name

You can type in each one, the mother the boyfriend and the son.
Mom is 3rd one down, son is top one and the boyfriend is all 3 (pics)

The home is for sale and it's where Arthur Sheldon, 67, once lived. Neighbors say Sheldon moved out after meeting Kimberly Smith. They say she was feeding him drugs and taking his money.

"I think that she was killing the guy. When she wasn't here, if she didn't come for three days, there was nothing wrong with the guy. He was very bright. If she came, he was disoriented to the point where he couldn't walk," a neighbor said.

Sheldon's neighbors on Keith Lane said they met a woman named "Dawn" who took care of Sheldon until last year. Smith's middle name is Dawn.

Sheldon's friend and neighbor, Arthur Freelin, said he watched the news this week and when he saw the Robinson story, he immediately recognized Smith as the woman who used to care for Sheldon.

"She used to come dressed as a nurse," Freelin said. "The thing is, he'd be fine and everytime she came to see him, he would be disoriented after she left. One time he even fell out in front of his house."

Freelin said Dawn would come over a few times a week to see Sheldon. Then in March or April 2009, Sheldon had a heart attack and landed in the hospital.

"We wanted to visit him, but she (Dawn) wouldn't let us," Freelin said. "We called him on the phone at the hospital and she (Dawn) wouldn't let him talk to us."

I read that too, TL, and I'm wondering, at BOTH mobile homes, Goldie's and AS's, if the neighbors were "wondering" why in the HECK didn't they call someone? Goldie's unconscious and unable to be roused, (from her own niece's mouth) and Arthur is stumbling and falling when the self-appointed caretaker visits. Did these folks get too much sun or what?:banghead::furious:

I totally agree. People want to stay so uninvolved these days. Reporting the suspicions could have likely saved multiple lives here.

OMG these people are the lowest of life.

Samuel Adam Smith, 24, is the man at the center of an expanding investigation into a missing woman and a dead man. Police said he was recently living in the home of Goldie Robinson, who has been missing since early July. Neighbors said he was the one who sold Robinson's car, which was returned Saturday, and said he lived in the home of Arthur Sheldon, who is dead.

Police have talked to Smith, but haven't charged him.

"What's the crime that he broke? Where the violation? That's what today and the rest of the investigation is going to have to yield," South Daytona Police Chief Bill Hall said.

Smtih said he was fixing Robinson's home. Police said he may have had permission to be there and sell the car."

What??? Permission from whom?? arghhhhhh:banghead:

"Whats the CRIME that he broke?".....hopefully, this is bad reporting...if not, this chief sounds like an idiot.

Note to self.... NEVER go to South Daytona- they have no clue what crime is apparently...

It's not yet known how Sheldon died, but police said they consider his death suspicious, and they remain deeply concerned about Robinson.

bbm
Well yeah that is what we do when we pass away. We bury ourselves in dirt and pile debris on top of it. I sure hope they consider it more than suspicious.

bet you my bottom dollar it isn't goldie using the ATM? Whatcha wanna bet?

I had read that Ruby and I'm deeply concerned for not only Goldie, but any other elderly or somehow vulnerable adult that that crew came in contact with....makes me very sad.
