Mother feels 'helpless' as 15-year-old, grandmother still missing

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has issued a missing child alert for 15-year-old Logan Mott, who's believed to be with 53-year-old Kristina French.

Logan is described as being 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds and having brown hair and brown eyes.


According to JSO sources close to News4Jax and online sources, Mott is the son of a JSO corrections lieutenant.

French is described as being 5 feet 4 inches tall with blond hair and light-colored eyes.

They may be in a silver, four-door 2015 Dodge Dart with Florida tag DLLT42, authorities said.

Police said firearms are also missing from a home associated with the two, so do not approach them or the car if encountered.

Anyone with information of the whereabouts of the two or who has been in contact with either of them over the last three days is asked to call 911 or JSO at 904-630-0500. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.

Logan has Type1 Diabetes and is without his needed medications.

Indeed, definitely not a complimentary photo of Logan, his face seems to portray a blend of indignance and belligerence. Surely his attourney or parents have suggested he get a haircut prior to court appearances but maybe as he’s being tried in adult court he figures nobody has the right to tell him what to do.

I think his true self is being revealed. His Dad could only 'cover that up' for so long. Logan's dark side is bursting forth. JMO

Back in court today, with the next court appearance in Jan. May 19th was noted with "05/06/19 FPT AND 05/13/19 JS (2 WEEKS)" I believe the JS means jury selection, so it's about six more months before trial begins. A copy of todays notes from court are attached.

Logan Mott: Florida State Attorney's Office releases evidence in case of Jacksonville teen accused of killing his grandmother

The Florida State Attorney’s Office released new evidence in the Logan Mott case Wednesday.

The video appears to show the teen with his face covered and speaking in a Russian accent.

In the video, the teen pretended to be the host of a Russian propaganda radio show.

“Comrades, it is your time. Rise with us. Let us overtake the bureaucracy that has corrupted America. Let us make America great again,” the teen said in the video.

Court documents revealed Mott told friends he was from Russia and wanted to go back. The report also said he said he was secretly a spy.

According to prosecutors, Mott’s Instagram page had mostly community propaganda material.

He’s due in court Jan. 31 for a pretrial hearing.

Jury selection in the case is July 22.

Watching the video of Logan's bizarre behavior gave me chills. His father surely saw signs that something was extremely wrong with his son. Was he acting Russian or was it split personality? I wouldn't think if you have a split personality disorder that one would not mask their face.
