State ended by asking Barton of all the days she lived with Ebron how many days no drug deals happened. She said none.

Chris Parenteau ‏@WJXTChris 2m2 minutes ago
No further witnesses, now just arguments from both sides.

So did Ebron drop off cocaine at the club the same night Lonzie went missing? JMO

Good counter to Boyle asking about specific dates.

It is an excellent counter ! NONE ! Cannot get much clearer than that. If he sold drugs every day for a living, then is there really a window of time when he's going to say he did not sell drugs the day the baby ' disappeared'?
Somebody slap these two until they give up Lonzie's location.

Mantei argues that Ebron's drug dealing is essential to proving their case against him for child neglect and lying to police. #findlonzie

Larry Hannan ‏@LarryHannan 2m2 minutes ago
When Ebron claimed his car was stolen with Lonzie inside he was actually conducting a drug deal, Mantei said. #findlonzie

Larry Hannan ‏@LarryHannan 1m1 minute ago
Mantei can be very snarky and sarcastic when it suits him. He hasn't been in this case, but if Ebron takes the stand......#findlonzie

Attorneys are continuing arguments. State says Ebron was doing drugs while in the car with Lonzie & his sister. @ActionNewsJax

Chris Parenteau ‏@WJXTChris 2m2 minutes ago
Mantei says that within short time before Ebron called police he was making drug transactions.

Chris Parenteau ‏@WJXTChris 1m1 minute ago
Mantei also says Ebron was doing multiple "key bumps" in car with children in car.

Larry Hannan ‏@LarryHannan 56s57 seconds ago
The fact that Ebron was deadling drugs almost every day is a good sign that he was dealing drugs on July 23-24, Mantei said. #findlonzie

Gee, Lonna's testimony was quick and to the point. She had been coached well!

One thing I would question is on her knowing what every phone conversation ER had was about. Was that his drug dealing phone only? Did he not have any buddies he would be talking with?

Chris Parenteau ‏@WJXTChris now29 seconds ago
Mantei on Barton: She can't remember any specific times or any specific dates because it (drug transactions) happened so much.

More than an hour into the hearing and Mantei is making his argument for transcripts to be part of the trial

This phase has to do with the " William rule" is Ebron's drug dealings relevant to the charges of child neglect?

I think she only identified some of the people in the texts as Ebron's drug customers. As she explained the drug-talk stuff I think it was obvious that those texts were about drug buys.

Lonna is identifying some of the people in the text messages as people Ebron completed drug transactions with @ActionNewsJax

Samantha Manning ‏@SamanthaANjax 51m51 minutes ago
Lonna explains some of the messages refer to drugs, like 30's is a type of morphine she says @ActionNewsJax

ETA: Just a stray thought: I wonder what the significance is of the particular dates Boyle asked Lonna about. I don't believe he chose them at random.

Larry Hannan ‏@LarryHannan 33s34 seconds ago
Mantei done. Ten minute break, Then Boyle will make his argument. #FINDLONZIE

So we've got Ebron admitting in his interview that he made a drug deal the night Lonzie went missing, we have his cell phone texts now entered into evidence and we have Lonna testifying that Ebron dealt drugs. While Lonna wasn't there during that night she did testify that she had accompanied Ebron on drug deals (along with the kids!) in the past.

I'm looking forward to Boyle's arguments...

Larry Hannan ‏@LarryHannan 2m2 minutes ago
Assistant Public Defender James Boyle said Barton's testimony should be barred from the trial #findlonzie

Chris Parenteau ‏@WJXTChris 2m2 minutes ago
Boyle: defense has not been given notice of text messages from Jan-June 15, should not be allowed. Mantei says he doesn't plan to use them.

Chris Parenteau ‏@WJXTChris now6 seconds ago
Boyle: Barton could not testify to any exact dates any deals took place, these statements should not be allowed.

Ken Amaro ‏@kangel6 4m4 minutes ago Florida, USA
Court is back in session, Ebrons attorney says Lonna's testimony did not prove anything.

Ken Amaro ‏@kangel6 10s11 seconds ago Florida, USA
Ms Barton's testimony lack specificity therefore it is not relevant says defense atty Joseph boyle

Larry Hannan ‏@LarryHannan 2m2 minutes ago
Boyle argues that just because Ebron sold drugs in past, it doesn't mean he was selling drugs that night. #findlonzie
