Florida
Grade Taught: Cursive is taught at the beginning of the 3rd grade to the end of the 5th grade.

General Info: According to Florida standards, learners assessment of cursive proficiency is done locally. In the 3rd grade, testing is conducted on the introduction to Cursive while in the 4th grade, their writing skills are tested. In the 5th grade, both the letter case writing and the cursive writing skills are tested.
I’m glad they are adding it back in the curriculum. 23 states now have it mandated. That’s awesome! I remember my old boss from 2010, her daughter got her drivers permit and couldn’t even sign her name! It was printed. It looked so weird to me. Anyways, I’m still leaning towards JS writing that entry

I can believe MS wrote that note. Kids have access to the internet and watch tv/movies. There are influencers on YouTube and Facebook who make videos of make up tutorials where they film themselves applying makeup while talking about true crime stories, very popular with teen girls. Perpetrator is a common word thanks to these types of videos, countless law and order type shows, police comedy movies, the news, the Me Too movement, etc. The other adult sounding language could be because she had a mother who seemed to expose her to lots of mental health talk and buzzwords, terms a typical 12 and 13 year old wouldn't be saying. All my opinion only.

If it was written by JS, then that would make her even more awful imo because she felt uncomfortable around men, knew some are predators, but let her child sleep with a grown man. I'm not so sure JS felt uncomfortable around men because she sure put them on a high pedestal, more important than her own child.

Doesn't explain talking about work rather than school, though. Madeline was years away from any kind of employment.

This is one of those things that we know LE knows but we don't know, yet. They'll certainly have handwriting samples of all the main players, probably of all the residents of that household. They'll be in no doubt as to who wrote it.

I have trouble believing that MS wrote that. It's far too sophisticated for a 12-year-old IMO.

I agree wholeheartedly with everything in your second paragraph.

Thank you. It seems to me that Maddie would have talked about school, rather than work.

Work is a popular word in the therapy world, though. You have to work on yourself, do the work to heal yourself. My therapist would always tell me that I am "expecting results without doing the work to obtain them". I'm not saying MS definitely wrote it, but I just personally don't see anything that automatically rules MS out.

I feel like the conversion van note and the perpetrator notes were written by JS and that she was recalling some incident of prior abuse that happened to her. There's no way MS would have the language for "conversion van" if the kid didn't know her own address at 13! Predators prey on the vulnerable. I think SS knew that JS was vulnerable due to some prior abuse and it would be easy for him to slide in and SA MS because JS was just happy to have a man.
The very last part hits the nail on the head IMO. Plenty of women out there who will put up with a surprising amount just so that the man stays and she isn’t alone

IF indeed it was JS, who wrote it, what would you think: She did it in her own name/for herself or did it for Maddie, as if Maddie had said so? Maybe, JS wrote content, which were Maddie's statements/thoughts? "Helping" her daughter (of course not really!!) to formulate some statement for her daughter's psychologist, perhaps? Statements, which Maddie had to copy into her own notebook?

I would like to know, if the exact same sentences appeared in a report of Maddie, in fair copy without the corrections.

that’s a really interesting thought… her writing it for MS to copy. To me, it seemed like JS was answering questions to something. If JS wrote it, I’d imagine she wrote it for herself.

Was watching the video today of jenn on her way to the police station to be questioned, when the cop said he was going to take maddis phone away jenn said " forever" and he said "no just until we find her and give it back." I never really thought about jenns response, until someone else pointed it out, "forever?" interesting response.

Like she already knew that Madeline wouldn't be coming back.
I find it odd about her saying SS came into the room to walk the dog and she helped him with the leash. I can't believe he would take the time to walk the dog with Madeline in the car, dead.
And then she skips over everything she was doing after her doctor's appointment until she drove to the school to "wait" for her daughter.
MOO

And then right around 12:54, she says SS has only dropped Maddie off "I think only once or twice before. I'm not too sure". Shortly after, when the investigator asked her why SS dropped her off a block from school, JS answered "because she asked and she's embarrassed of his car". When the investigator asked her when Maddie expressed that, JS laughs, and says "Multiple times. When we've expressed that Stephan might pick you up from school, she's like, can he pick me up far away, can he leave me here, I don't want to be seen." Her words are contradictory and she lets her guard down by laughing. To me, she's obviously lying. MOO.

IMO he didn't go into JS's room to walk the dog, especially with the fact Maddie was deceased (IMO) by now, and in the casr. He might have gone into the room to "walk the dog", nudge, nudge, wink, wink (IOW... code for something, like maybe trying to get Maddie's other croc?).

Guessing he didn't expect/want her to wake up.

I'm trying to grant her every mercy for being flat emotionally but I can't help but think of any other missing child case wherein parents are DESPERATE not to run out of possible explanations that keep hope alive. Lost. Runaway. Hiding. Hiding out. Because, when you run out of good scenarios, what's left is dreadful. Be inventive. Class lists. Hospitals. City parks. Malls. Phone trees.

If having Child's cellphone helps LE find Child, they CAN HAVE IT. Just find her. We can buy new phones. We can take new pictures. Just please find her.

"In whatever way"?????? That's pretty macabre that early in the absence.

It takes some parents DECADES to reach that level of resignation.

Making no judgment, just making observations.

He was seen on camera tossing Maddie's backpack at 7:35 and again on camera with her dead body in the car at 8:19. I find it highly unlikely that in between he stopped back at the condo between that time to walk the dog.

Another lie by JS, IMO.

The whole "embarrassed by SS' car" doesn't make sense, because SS was not driving his car that day but his dad's. Jen would have known this. So what car did SS actually drive on a daily basis?

What time was he seen driving away from the condo? JS had said she had seen MS at 8 getting ready for school.

Presumably MS was already deceased by 7:35 if he was getting rid of her stuff?

7:50am. Pg 31 of 896 pg data dump:

In the surveillance footage, I observed a male wearing a red shirt leaving the complex in a 2010 silver Lincoln MKZ through the rear gate at 0750 hours with a female wearing a green sweater in the front seat. This person appeared to be sitting upright with her head slumped over to her left side. At 0819 hours, I observed a male wearing a red shirt enter the complex through the front gate near N. Hoagland Boulevard in the silver Lincoln with someone in the front passenger scat wearing a green sweater and once again slumped over. At 0831 hours, the male wearing a red shirt left the complex in the silver Lincoln MKZ through the rear gate with a female in the front passenger completely slumped over to the left.

Not to mention that the car he was driving that day ( the poodle ambulance) was not the car he normally drove.
