Do we know whether SS was at Madeline's party and took her home afterwards?

I wouldnt say we know that 100% because mom said she showed " us" her gifts, assuming SS was at the party he would have seen them . unless he didnt stay, and just drove her there and picked her up. Maybe someone else can confirm .

We do not. But whomever took her home would probably have had to get through the gate to get her home, so police probably have been able to confirm her arrival home, or lack thereof?

I am positive I read on this #4 WS thread some wording indicating the Soto townhouse had bedrooms on both levels. (Still trying to find the post.) The poster mentioned that when JS and SS broke up, JS said SS could move into a BR upstairs, which made me think the MBR was on the entry level. Studying the width and fenestration of home on Zillow, I would say half of first floor was BR(s) and the other half the kitchen/LR.

The Zillow listing (below) indicates that the Soto unit was four BRs and three baths. I’m picturing a MBR with en suite on main level, three BRs upstairs with one or two baths. (I’m getting this idea from typical layouts for many townhomes in my area.)

Its really not that complicated I don't think. I believe she was drugged and that ended in her death. I don't think at 13 getting dressed is a big debate for any kid - so long as - parents buy / keep the clothes the kids are allowed to wear in the house and discard gifts / items they do not approve of. Its as simple as that to me.

Yes, but for whom? While I'm thinking it was likely SS, I'm not 100% convinced it wasn't JS. It also could be a suicide, sadly enough.

IMO, I think you might be right - JS may have been on the 1st floor with SS and MS upstairs.

The standard Venetian Bay condo floor plan layout for the 4/3 has the larger master suite on the first floor with a jr master suite w/ its own bath upstairs along with two beds and another bath.

In my neck of the woods a pocket pet is something like a gerbil, hamster, cavy, mouse — usually a pocket sized mamma! Guess you will need to glean meaning from context and my kids were born in the 1980s so maybe now a pocket pet is mechanical!

I really don't think that happened here. She could have simply said that she was tired, and didn't see Madeline getting ready for school. Instead, she claimed to have seen her after she would have been murdered.

Lies as a form of confession: that statement is MOO pretty much an admission of guilt at least to helping cover up.

I’ve always thought both would be charged at the same time, but I hope not. The only thing that’s not on my list is suicide. I’ve never seen a suicide turned into murder, despite numerous killers making that claim.

At one point there was a question of the Soto house having a garage — related a place to put a body in a car without being observed. Please note this unit does not have a garage so SS didn’t have that option.

This is getting off topic but the small dog shown on the sofa in one of the listing photos was brought up some pages back. The expired Zillow listing for the Soto home states that pets must be approved. Mentioning this as someone posted they thought JS might have a dog-sitting business, but this seems to imply a contradictory environment for such a side hustle. Of course if this unit belongs to her father, maybe she can do what she wants.
