I am just going with the news coming out. Gay dating sites, 12 trips to Pulse....could we have our first gay terrorist?

Imo, it wouldn't change one thing. There are so many ways to obtain illegal guns if someone cant get them legally. We have two open borders and there are stories of gunrunners coming in to sell illegal high powered weapons to those who cant obtain one legally. They will become the new billionaires just like drug lords have become.

Every time we have banned something it only makes the issue worse not only for victims of crime but for LE. Past history tells us banning a product doesn't ever work.

During prohibition they banned the sell of alcohol. The alcohol flowed like water and made the alcohol runners into millionaires back during prohibition.

Then we decided to ban semi-automatic rifle and assault rifles in 1994. The mass shootings didn't go down and these rifles were still being used by mass shooters during that ten year period. The ban stayed in place until 2004 when it was lifted since it didn't reduce crimes. In fact the long gun is the least used weapon in homicides by firearm. It is the handgun which is used most often in homicides which kills many thousands per year. The total cases where a long gun is used including, various rifles and shotguns are used around 150 times per year.

Then of course we banned certain drugs and made them illegal and how did that workout for our nation? It then made drug lords into billionaires because America is where the demand is.

Nothing is ever going to stop someone who wants a firearm to do a murder or a mass murder. People who are plotting to murder someone do not and have not ever respected laws no matter what the laws happen to be. The only ones who would like for our federal government to ban certain weapons to law abiding people are the criminals who prefer their victims unarmed and defenseless. Those are the ones who will benefit from any gun ban or restrictions. Its the illegal doer who comes out ahead when something in our country has been banned. History shows that to be true.

So are you cool with harder drugs being decriminalized too? Or just booze and weed? Is there a line somewhere for you? Or just make everything legal and let the person with the biggest gun win?

Legitimately trying to follow your argument about things like prohibition of alcohol and "certain drugs".

How so? No matter where his parents were born he would still be a radical Muslim extremist who murdered gays who they believe deserves to be murdered.

I think we at least need to try to make our gun laws more strict. What could it hurt?

They don't go by laws..its against the law to kill someone ...does that stop them ...they will get it illegally !

What about all the sane Muslim Americans? Also one mans sane is another mans crazy .. I for one think people who worry about transsexuals in public bathrooms are crazy, I'm sure not everyone agrees however ..

I wish we could find out. Even the fellow Students of the School he was abruptly dismissed from never knew why. There was just an Interview with the former fellow Student. School has no comment
ETA this would be the Academy. Could not remember exact type of training facility/school whatever

I am not sure what you are asking me. This is what happened when certain drugs were banned. (Drug lords became billionaires.)
This is what happened when legitimate alcohol sales were prohibited.(alcohol runners became millionaires during prohibition. Those aren't my opinions. That is what happened when both were banned.

I have no clue what you are saying. I never said harder drugs should be decriminalized. Why should they??? I don't even know what you mean by harder drugs. I have never done hard drugs nor have I ever smoked pot. I drink maybe twice a year on special occasions but then I never said I wanted anything to be decriminalized either.

People should be worried about the fact that someone on an FBI watch list was able to carry this out so easily without obstruction IMO.

This guy was a minion on the list. There are too many minions on the list for the FBI to properly watch or keep tabs on them. IMO.

IIRC, the case was closed on him as he didn't seem to prove that much of a threat. If this is wrong, please tell me. So, once the case was closed on him, I would imagine he would no longer be on their radar.

Are you guys saying all laws are pointless since crime will happen anyway?

Should we have *not* tightened security at airports after 9/11 since terrorists would just seek out other methods?

Should we not have restraining orders since they sometimes cause an escalation of violence?

I don't worry in the least about transsexuals in public bathrooms but I do worry that some rapists or pedophile can use the transgender card making it easier for him/her to gain access to children and adult victims.
