Weird you should say that because something one of Dales friends posted about him reminded me of Josh Powell and Dale Peterson.

There was a post by his friend Hon3ybee that described what a GREAT father he was, and how he cooked for them and made sure they ate organic foods, etc. And that raised some red flags for me. It made me wonder if he wanted to perhaps be the sole caretaker of the twins. And it sounded like Josh Powell and Peterson, who both just wanted to raise their kids without their wives pesky influence.

This is a man who has a record of hurting women, not just Michelle, but others. I believe Michelle is no longer living, and that DS's anger escalated over the years and reached a level that he could no longer control.

I hope I am wrong, but I do not believe I am. I want her to be alive, but I do not believe she is. We'll see--time will tell.

I agree, and my gut tells me he did in fact act out in a fit of rage. I believe it had been building, but I don't think he planned anything for "that day". I just think he is more cunning than that to have been so stupid as to act out his thoughts on the day the show aired. Unless he didn't care, but I don't think so. I think he and Michelle had a huge fight during the "drop off" and he snapped, panicked and called SR. Of course this is all speculation and IMO.

Found this information, BUT I´m not sure wheter this is the Dale Wayne Smith Sr. or Jr.?
However this is in February 1992, and the known conviction of suspect Dale Wayne Smith Jr., is dated Decemeber 10 the very same year of 1992.
So this might be concerning the suspect, and it might be related to his conviction, BUT could be totaly unrelated to the conviction and DWS Jr.

The address mentioned, 2211 Rose Blvd., Orlando, is the very same house that was searched this Sunday, and also the house where DWS Sr. was seen in a video saying that DWS Jr. was at the house "all the time while she (Michelle) was supposed to be missing"

I wonder what LE knows to name him this way...we know he was the last to see her, officially anyway, and yet there are cases like Katelyn Markham, where her boyfriend appears to be the last one to see her, and has not been named a suspect after 3 months. Difference in LE, or perhaps this guy's past is playing into it? Or do they have proof he has lied about something? JMO Just wondering.

I think the surveillance tapes which are supposed to show her leaving his home that afternoon may not show that at all. Maybe they see someone driving her car away and it is not her. OR they see her driving her car but someone is sitting right beside her. ?

She is the one who brought some of the detail's to my attention to post on here, (on page 16? of this thread I think?) # 392 of this thread I wasn't sure if I was able to post the victim's name & the links to the story in the OS, so Stilettos posted it for me. If he's responsible, I hope he does the right thing and confesses to what he's done for the childrens sake and her family. They need closure.

I am now actually relying on LE's "untruthfulness" in this case. They have "misspoken" about other issues, and I hope that's what's happening with the twins and where they are.

I am believing in my heart of hearts that LE knows where the babies are and have been watching for their safety all along. I am hoping Le has already removed the children from DS's supervision, and if not, that they will be doing so very, very soon. One can only hope ...

I agree. I do not think they would have made a public announcement like that, if they did not have an eye on the kids somehow. That presser is enough to push someone over the edge. Desperate dads sometimes take their kids with them when they check out. Let's hope LE has a close eye on them.

I am a little annoyed at the moment because I was going on what I was hearing and if I would have known Dale refused to take a poly, clearly, I would have worked more on "how did he do it", rather than "how could he do it with 2 children in tow"! :furious:

Still doesn't make sense raising money for THREE children, when they just named Dale a suspect and they don't know where the two children are.

Cant' understand why they held the poly info back either Patty. Re: the monies/fund raiser---maybe they are gathering funds for the legal fees for custody of the kids? Him being named a suspect and still have custody of the twins...scares me. He's 40...and with a too recent violent past, imo.

Florida Department of Children and Families has just sent a statement in to the News 13 station. They say they have had multiple contacts with the children, including today. They say they are doing everything in their power to ensure the safety of the children while LE investigates the disappearance of their mother.

I was thinking that, too. On the other hand, LE can "suspect" all they want to, but without hard evidence LE can't do anything to anybody. Our constitutional protections cut both ways, and sometimes in ways we wish they didn't.

Update from my friend on DS's conviction in the involvement in BT's death :Bryan, 22 at the time, was a lifeguard for Wet-n-Wild. He and another friend went out to downtown Orlando one evening, minding their business, when two cars of guys, ranging in ages from 15-20, got out and jumped Bryan and his friend. Ending in the fatal stabbing of Bryan. Dale Smith, a complete stranger to them, told the other boys that they were "going to get someone" that night, while holding the knife in his hand. A cab driver witnessed the entire attack from his car and got the tag # and testified against them. Tony Pipitone interviewed her husband today with channel 6 news, awaiting the outcome of this case. Will post more info as I get it...
