I still think the perp. used a knife, and maybe to slit her throat. The struggle may have caused the knife to cut him also.

No. The hispanic woman was a passenger in the blue Nissan. Another woman saw it happening, and the little girl told her they wanted her to get in the car. This other woman was on the news with the little girl's mother. She told the little girl to ride her bike home and followed her. At some point while she was talking to the little girl, the blue Nissan disappeared.

So where did the undercover cop story come from?

I took that to mean that possibly the individual/indiviuals may be local to the area. Also, LE may have a vehicle that they are looking for. A knife may also be involved.

JMO

The Sheriff called it "abduction and homicide". I think that rules out car accident.

That ^ from a few pages back. The stories don't match to me. I haven't seen last Thursday's PC.

Sheriff Besler answered many surrounding the discovery of a blue Nissan Sentra driven by a Hispanic family. When the search for Somer first started, police believed the driver’s of that car may have been involved in a similarly attempted abduction. After checking out leads, Sheriff Besler says the Nissan drivers were not responsible for Somer’s disappearance.
“Yesterday afternoon investigators located that vehicle, located those individuals, have been interviewing them. We feel very comfortable and confident at this time that that incident had nothing to do with Somer’s disappearance,” said Sheriff Besler.

This was from 10/21 ... but there are later stories that have more details.

I recall someone saying that this was a heinous crime. I don't remember who, I apologize for no link. Slitting the throat or decap also came to my mind...or leaving intentional marks on the body

BSU--- are you with us today and watching? If you are -- what do you think of the new update: PROFILE...??

Doesn't sound to me like all the clues were in the early video's of the Mom, afterall? At least I'm not getting that read from LE/FBI.

I think I am going back to where we were when the interuption happened on the board--- this may be the key that unlocks the door.

BSU if you are amongst us could you please weigh in...?

After watching this mornings short briefing about looking for cuts and/or bruises on head, arms, hands, and face I am thinking that poor Somer was raped and fought back
or strangled because she was obviously underneath the perp
Also, them talking about a car and the talk about the landfill search on the front end, etc I think that the perp took her to the landfill instead of her being in a dumpster..he transported her with his car and there will be evidence in a vehicle like blood, etc. and that is why they are looking for a vehicle..
I read all the thread last night but didn't post..but I think they are thinking this is a adult male with facial hair to cover his cuts/bruises from the incident
I think this is a local man. Do we know if Sean has any cuts/bruises?
I find it odd that her older brother was across the street at the park. And I find it weird that Somer's mom, D, came home for lunch to meet a guy that isn't her boyfriend and let him stay in the house alone and he never babysat them before. I'm not suggesting they are responsible but I am suggesting its a big coincidence that it happens the day she disappears. How did her boyfriend feel about her having lunch with another man?
Maybe she didn't want Somer to stay home from school because she went home on her lunch break to meet S for a "date-date" just saying..not saying its true
My big thing like I already mentioned is that there has been no discussion on polygraphs, anyone take one to clear themselves? if not, why not? they should want to take one and let them move on to look for the killer
I know this is crazy to think but what if the police officer that suggested to look at the garbage trucks and landfill knows someone that did it or he himself did it..because wasn't a police officer around the park when D found the police officer? Wasn't a police officer involved in the incident 10 days earlier

I think that is the first version not the corrected one....:waitasec:

"Sheriff: Somer's Killer Watching Us"

Excerpt:
"Does that mean that one of them is not a suspect? No, it does not mean that," Beseler said. "It means that there was nothing that we saw immediately on the outset that made one of them an obvious suspect."

Don't know if this is new or not.

the camper sits one house from the corner of Gano and Grove Park St......the camper sits right next to the 1080 home on Gano. I would hope that LE has checked that camper already....

Thank you. To clarify - for me - the house on the opposite site of the camper/lawn care house (iow NOT 1080 Gano) is on the corner?

I found it interesting that he had not cleared family by now.

I also would like to know more about the woman (is she the one who asked not to be identified?) who suggested to LE they check the trash. What officer did she tell? Bruce Owens is credited by the sheriff as having the idea. Did he talk with this woman and then it later hit him that she had a good idea?

LOL, who was it who said ask and then you find it ... you were right. I don't think she is the same one who made the other comment about the trash cans ... I think her name was given. But at this point, I know my own name and not much else.

A woman, who did not want to be identified, tells First Coast News' Monica Landeros she asked investigators to search this vacant home and dumpster on Monday night.

ok, I sent the pic of the camper into the tip line......I feel better now....I do see a bed egg shell padding rolled up in the front of the camper when I zoom in on it....

On the map where does that put her by?
Sorry to bump my post up.But it says this.Where is this by?What is right there where Somer's scent ended? Her scent ended on the road side?intersection of Debarry and Gano.

I just saw an interesting video on first coast from early on in the search, one I had missed. You all have probably already seen this one, but a search dog is tracking Somer's scent using her bed sheet as a scent source, and they are saying how it's harder in an urban area to track because of the traffic blowing the scent around, etc...
But the dog tracks Somer to the intersection of Debarry and Gano, and then loses the scent. They say that might have just been the dog tracking Somer's normal walk home, but then why stop at Debarry? I just found that interesting. I know there was a crossing guard there who is sure they didn't see Somer that day, but I still found it interesting.

That is the version I saw on the video last night, with the Mom and the woman that helped the child. I don't have the link handy.

Excellent theories - BBM, I couldn't agree more.

As for going directly to landfill I am thinking this as well. Remember, they said get it on the front end - well they didn't get it on the front end, they got it on the back end at the LANDFILL. I posted the question last night, HOW would LE handle this is they thought the killer was one of them? They would REALLY have to smoke and mirror this entire thing due to an officer having inside info.

Next, another thought - a landscaper could probably get direct access to a landfill :waitasec: JUST SAYING......

OKay, for the newcomers - we REALLY need to clarify Blue Nissan Incident.

Supposely, a hispanic woman almost plowed neighbor girl over on her bike. Allegedly, an undercover or off-duty PO PO was driving with his family to or from a football game. He stopped to make sure the little girl was okay. As did the hispanic woman who almost hit her. But the hispanic woman made sure she got home safe. But the LE didn't stick around. Weird.

The original story was the Blue Nissan tried to lure the little girl and a 911 call was made. But since this came out after somer was reported missing, it is now being identified by LE as a mistake and there was no abduction.

If I have this wrong feel free to correct me :)

Nope - this is my interpretation...

LE version: Girl is riding her bike - off duty LE sees her almost get hit by a car because of moving van blocking view, LE pulls up to the girl to see if she's OK, she says she doesn't know where she lives - then remembers and says she is OK - LE lets her go home. Unclear about car that almost hit her.

Good samaritan lady version: She sees little girl cuz she almost hit her. At same time she notices Nissan, with female hispanic driver and two male passengers in the back seat, pulled up and parked oddly, talking to girl who seems upset. She approaces girl, asks a few ??'s, then looks and the car is gone. She follows the girl home and talks to the mother. All parties shaken.

We don't know if off duty LE is female hispanic - could be. She could have been coming from football game with two sons in the back seat.

Still seems off to me.

if you are standing right in front of 1080, camper sits in yard to the right of 1080, then there is a side lot next to that which I think belongs to the first home on the left on Grove Park Rd, which is the corner...so you have 1080, then the camper home, then a lot which is on the corner where the crossing guard said she never made it to.....does that make sense?? I think I have a pic
