Anyone live, or know someone that does, in Green Cove Springs? Am wondering what area of GCS has trash pick-up on Tuesday?

From Green Cove Springs site:

GARBAGE (Includes food & other household waste)
Garbage must be bagged and tied and placed in the container provided by the City. Do not place loose garbage in the container. Garbage should be placed curbside no later than 7a.m. on collection day. The City provides twice a week pickup on the following days:
Monday & Thursday
Tuesday & Friday

Sure it is coincidental but address change of those arrested re armed robbery would seem to be something worth keeping in mind considering LE's quick response to trash search and Owen's comments.

regarding the bolded statement above - it does NOT go past sr in high school. I know....my DH is disabled and we had 2 boys who collected an amt from ss as stated above. #1 - believe me the amt per month wouldn't cover a 1/3 of a childs expenses every month and if you turn 18 during your sr year in high school you have to document it and it will continue till the end of the school year. It does not continue for college at all.
HTH

Yes you are totally correec my DD drew until she finished HS then no more, which is a shame could have helped us alot for college, she went anyway and her and I both are still paying loans back and have been for 2 yrs.

Her father is ruled out completely b.c the man is in a wheelchair and can't walk & if there was fluids in Somer's body then for obvious reasons that rules out the mother. You just have to look at the facts here.

i dont think anyone on this board suspects the mother or the father

My DD turned 18 in March grad from hs in May and her SSI stopped after graduation

My wording was off. My daughter just happened to graduate the same month she turned 19. Had she turned nineteen two months before she graduated, the benefits would have stopped the month of her nineteenth birthday whether she was in HS or not.

Had she been 17 when she graduated HS, her benefits would have continued until she was 18.

I deffinitely think the police would know how this crime happened. They saw her body and to not give the details of her death tells it all. If they thought the family was involved for just one little minute...they would never say to the pulic..."to watch your children....a child killer is out there..and post o AMW to discuss a child killer being on the loose.....There is deffinitely a killer on the loose...but they know withour a doubt it isn't the family.

personally, just from seeing Dad on Nancy Grace...I never got any bad vibes from him. But I was DEEPLY DISTURBED yet AGAIN by Mom, when NG asked Dad how he learned Somer was missing, and he told her about receiving a notification phone call from LE. Is it just me or is that messed-up!?? I don't know or care what their relationship was like...they were co-parents and MOM should have been the one to call him to explain Somer was Missing imho...............

Did it disturb you as much as her wearing the low cut dress to the funeral disturbed you? I have asked lots of my friends to look at that picture and they all say very appropiate.

It crossed my mind the police probably asked her not to call him since as far as they knew he might have taken somer and wanted to call him themselfs and record his reaction..........but then that doesn't make the mother look bad.

I have a question in general. I am not one to bash the parent/s that have lost a child. I do seem to recall though that Tori Stafford's mother took more than her fair share of "bashing". Am I missing something? I am truly not trying to be sarcastic or nasty in any way. I'm still trying to figure what's allowed here and what's not. ???

mmmm just wondering if you were to have a seven yr old daughter disappear how would you react? I mean can you say how for sure what you would be saying and how you would be acting in the face of the media? I can't even begin to say how I would act... I am sorry I don't mean to put this in your face, I have been involved with active searches for missing children and adults and I have seen first hand the hurt that is left on the family of the missing person... jmo..

Being a garden variety neurotic type of individual I would take responsibility for what happened and like I said in my post, I would dig a hole and crawl in it.

I'm sure someone has said this. These threads are moving so fast I can't keep up. The father said he was told there was soot on Somer's body. I used to have a very large charcoal grill with a lid on it. Do you think someone could have stashed the body in one of those? Just a thought.

Okay, I'm confused. The sheriff does state, eventually, that the people in the car were LE, at least the driver. The woman that stopped to help admits that she never spoke to the people in the car, just a frightened child.
What about this story is so unacceptable? I guess I am really missing something.

I did a double take this time just as I did last time when I heard the sheriff say that yes, they'd checked into the report YESTERDAY from 10 DAYS AGO about the reported possible abduction of the other little girl.
Oh, yeah. Something's not right, here. And if they didn't check into it any earlier, no wonder Diena thought they may not believe her.
I think LE had that license plate number all along, but because the little girl got home OK, nobody even looked at it twice. Then, when this came across the radios, somebody hollered "Oh SH**!" and made the connection.
That's what I think.

I agree with you on that part of the mom. I do think she should have been the one to tell Somer's father about her going missing & stuff.

This could be possible, But who knows at this point. That is something that I don't think has been brought up. Are there grills at the park accross the street?
Usually the grills in public parks are not that large and they don't have a cover like the ones we have at home. At least the ones for public use that I have seen are not that large and they do not have a lid.

probably LE told her not to but she probably would not have anyway there seems to be no love lost there IMO

We know that Somer was last scene at the house that burned, so I assume the soot came from there. Never thought to question that lol. :blushing: However, I am sure lab tests would be able to show if the soot came from a bbq, you sure are thinking outside the box Als.

Hi! It's possible. The soot can be analyzed though to determine if it was from a charcoal grill or residue from the burned house. MOO

I think Le is keeping many things from all of us.....but on the discussion of the family...how would soot come into the discussion....how would the siblings or the mother have soot on them....just wondering?

the immediate family is always looked at first in the case of a missing child...any mother with a lifestyle just to the left of june cleaver will get "bashed" whether it is deserved or not

just because of the soot comment of the father...the family knows more than we know..i don't see how the mother or any one in the family could be possible involved

Someone else pointed that out to me as well. I never considered LE may have asked her NOT to place the call herself......but, makes sense.
