I thought in Haleigh's case they did not follow trucks to the dump, especially trucks taking the trash that was in dumpsters the day she disappeared.

I think if they had, they may have found her.

Yes, you are correct. I was referring to the fact that trash is usually searched when kids are missing and presumed murdered.

In her case they did search a nearby dumpster after dogs alerted to it, and they went through bags and bags of garbage, but found nothing.

I think the same happened with Caylee Anthony, the dumpster near where her mother's car was found was searched thoroughly as well.

Needless to say, dumpsters and landfills are a "must" place to find victims when everything else is exed out.

I think they would need a warrant or home owner permission first to check the Gano home and dumpter. The dumpster was behind the fence so you just cant go and search it and you can not get a warrant with out probable cause.

Also during the first press conference with DT when the sheriff said look around your properies for anything etc etc.. did you catch he said shoes?
Why shoes.. who's shoes?

I just wonder if he was 19, and had a 16 or 17 year old girlfriend. I won't give my opinions about this, I just think this is different than someone who targets victims under the age of 12 (i used the age 12 because most law language states under 12, or over 12).

There are plenty of perps who do heinous things to children over 12, and plenty of underage perps who do horrendous things to children of any age. I am not defending anyone.

GOOD POINT about the shoes!!! IMO a search warrant would be granted just on basis of her last documented location being at that house.. (prob cause) wouldnt it?

It was directed to anyone new who may unknowingly come in and think I was looking for that information, or who wanted to debate the crime of a 19 yr old having sex with a 16 year old. I was trying to keep things on track.

Part of the problem with these missing children cases is that the first place (after immediate family) that LE looks is to the RSO list. But because no level of distinction is made (or at least not a good enough one IMOO) between the sex offender that was 19 and had sex with a 17 year old girlfriend whose parents didn't like him and the sicko perv who snatches babies off the street to rape and maim them.

Because they are all on the RSO list it takes time and resources to check them out eating recious time that could have gone to checking out and following up on more likely POIs. Just my own :twocents: here.

Yes they have all been convicted up a sex related crime, are they all the same breed of animal? I don't think so.

Im doin the ga angle today... folkston... have a relative that lives nearby and gave me the name of a contact at the landfill. Left a message for this person and was told return call after lunch. (so ok im throwin the ST name around now, but anything that helps get an answer is ok with me) My thoughts are to get the official route and process of trash pick up and ending at the dump. Any thoughts?

We were talking a day or 2 ago about "cranberry jumpsuit".

There is a band called "Red Jumpsuit Apparatus". They played at a benefit concert for Somer on November 13th.
One of DT's MySpace friends attended, and has one of the band members as her friend.

I need someone to tell me if DT knows anyone in this band personally. If I can confirm that, I'll explain my next connection.

edit: well, shoot. This article indicates all of the band members met her after Somer went missing.

But, remember "SK"? Her PhotoBucket account has a folder called "Red Jumpsuit" with personal photos of the band.
I'd thought I'd finally connected DT and SK.

Very well said...I agree it can be misleading

I also think that it results in a huge amount of manpower and money for a state like Florida to maintain the SAME watch over all these SRO...which they don't seem to do such a great job of (John Coey John Coey !!!)

Im not completely done reading everything yet but a couple of things popped into my head....

Regarding some triangle that everyone has been talking about, two thoughts came to mind...the first is that the three points where somers home was, the place she was last seen, and the school create a triangle done they? At least that is what it looks like on the ariel maps.

the second thing is DT having 2 boyfriends (?)...but I dont think that was it.

And I was wondering about this Spires connection...was this a relation to DT? If anyone knows please tell me....DT once told me somthing about an uncle that makes me wonder......

Seems like a long time ago, I can't remember the thread or page - I did background and criminal checks on every Spires that came up in a statewide search. I couldn't connect any Spires to mom D. in any way. Doesn't mean someone else can't...and noone else did at the time. hope that helps.

JMO, but AT could not have searched for Somer in that area until after 3:25 since she went out at 3:10 for 15 minutes then returned home, and the house at 1080 is 13 minutes walking, she would not have time to have gone that far on the initial search and then come back home ...so if she got that far at all, it would have had to have been on her search after 3:25 p.m.

And her older brother some time after he got out of school, 3:45. Before the mom picked him up at OPAA at around 4:30 (basing that on time it would take her to get from work to OPAA if left just after 4).

is the "credit" to whoever that important? Seems like its all these minds and all their individual gifts and resources that pool together is what makes ws successful.. a joint effort... by all.

If DT got off early from work because she needed to go look for somer how did she know AC would be waiting at OPAA?

Someone on here has access to a paid geneaology site and understands what the site says, which is another job in itself, to me.

I wish we knew if the SC is the one that has the relationship with the RSO.

Aren't teaching licenses public record in Florida? I'm at work and can't look it up. Maybe there would be a middle name on that.
