There is no evidence known here....no facts except information from media reports (which are unreliable) and a sparse Incident Report that is not necessarily factual either, but includes accounts by people that may or may not be telling the truth. If this WS thread has more than 1 percent of the total facts on this case known by LE I would be very surprised. My guess is that report is now many inches thick with supplemental information. It is naive to think that we can sit in our homes with virtually no information and solve this case. It would only be possible if the perp was talking on here (or on any internet chat room) and/or one of us was in some way connected to him/her. There would be no value to release specific information to the public in the hope that some internet chat room will solve the case. LE was crying out for people somehow connected to the perp to open their eyes and talk. They are wise to withhold information from the public for many reasons and anybody studied, or experienced with criminal investigations would know why it is essential to withhold specifics. They would be negligent to do otherwise. Releasing information on this case could ruin the chances of a conviction and that is not consistent with protecting the public. It appears to me that they either know who did it or have a small list of people, but don't have enough evidence yet to make a move - most likely someone known to the victim - like the other two recent missing/murdered young girls in Florida. Riding a bus wouldn't have saved either of them.

I have read that statement before, but indulge me please with some examples and how they would apply, because I don't get that statement at all. I also do not understand if you feel W/S is frivolous or the like, why do you post? I am very curious, because you have posted before and if you believe we only have 1% of the facts, why are you here? Are you a lawyer, if not what is your interest in what we are discussing...just wondering? Would you clarify please?

I have read different descriptions of the injuries.

Back injury from being thrown from truck in Iraq and more recently, a broken leg suffered in a car accident. He had surgery (more than one?) on his leg and is recovering.

I don't know the exact injury to his leg, but Sadnpod reported that his doctor told him he absolutely has to stay off it or risked amputation.

That might be in the previous thread or this one. I know it was fairly recently. In thread 23:
Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community - View Single Post - Found Deceased FL - Somer Renee Thompson, 7, Orange Park, Thread # 23

I crushed my heel in a fall and it was 3 months before I could put my weight on it.

Diena moved to Florida without the kids, IIRC. They were with Samuel at some point. You should wait until Sadnpod gets back on here or search her posts because that is where the information is.

I personally hope this is the fact. If LE has 99% more than we do, they are building a great case IMO. Why is this a bad thing?

IMO we only know what LE wants us to know.
There is a reason for that. I hope they have a ton of info they are working with.
I would hate for this to turn into a cold case. That happens all too often.

Praying for justice for Somer.

I came for the secret decoder ring and got hooked.

Oh I don't think it is a bad thing at all! This person has been on this site or others, & I think we need to ask for facts or links. I am just questing this person to give more information is all. I hope this person is right too, but why would we take this person's word over another?

I notice everyone talking about the clothes she was wearing but nobody seems to say anything about the white hat and scarf. Was that deleted or changed at some point?

Noway is gonna smite me for saying this but, I have been overwhelmed with consternation at the changable backpack/totebag and (lunchbox).
And I would always think that the clothes had always stayed the same.
Until today when I realized that even those were going through their own changes, with a white hat and scarf, without, jumpsuit/sweatsuit/jogging suit.
And I am not just talking about semantics. Ya know?
So you don't know if it's important to note or what. Just like the tense of verbs mentioned earlier. Sometimes it means something and sometimes it doesn't.

Evidently they found all her clothes with her or they would be asking for people to be on the lookout for them like the bag and lunch box. What could it be that the perp did to the lunchbox and bag that made it not safe to throw them away, what happened to them during the crime? Seems like a couple of pretty big items to keep for a trophey.

Actually that is an interesting question, given October in Florida. I don't know, but good spot.

Are you asking why we should take fbeyes word over everyone elses?
Is that who you are referring to as being on this site and others?
I'm not being snarky, I just don't know what you mean. I have been absent from this thread recently so maybe I missed something.

I took fbeyes quote as being a generalization (sp???). I agree with most of what was posted. But, like I said, if I missed something, IDK.

You mean like the indoor tree that showed up in Tara McDonald's yard in the middle of the night? I still think that plant was a plant.

(paying attention human?)

I don't know that one either!!!!!

You should clues for some kind of mystery game or perhaps clever mystery books!

I wish you would have stayed longer.. I really like reading your posts

IIRC, the first reports said she "may be wearing a white hat and scarf" but nothing again on those so I'd figured they had either found them left at the school (someone said it would have been chilly in am but she may have forgotten them in pm) or she didn't wear them after all.

Unless the Sheriff is keeping that quiet too, I don't know if we can put it as fact that she had them. They were on the AMBER Alert though.

From [ame="http://websleuths.com/forums/showpost.php?p=4502916&postcount=2"]Post 2[/ame] this thread.
An AMBER Alert was issued on Tuesday morning. It does not mention the book bag or lunchbox, but mentions her possibly wearing white hat and scarf.

So many things about this case remind me of things about Tori's case.

Many a night I just sit back here with my bowl of popcorn.

In case you didn't follow her case, Mom and boyfriend were very suspect, at least for their lifestyle. In the end the 2 people arrested were never even known to us to be able to sleuth them. Of course, it's a lot harder in Canada. We don't have easy access to records and registries.

In the video I posted a page or so (or more) ago, the Sheriff asks people to search areas they are familiar with like their yards for a backpack and clothes that match that description. But the white hat and scarf were not mentioned in that news report.

The AMBER Alert was not issued until Tuesday though.

At about 2:28 in the video he mentions looking for a backpack or the clothes.

I wonder sometimes if she had put the bag down and lunchbox down somewhere and was playing when she was grabbed. Maybe the perp never even saw them.
