It would have been so much easier if Somer had a forum, and not a zillion posts that are too frustrating to search through.

Reading the long article about Jarred, his Dad, his Mom (wth is up with her?) this guy came from a really confusing childhood.

Have I read before that sex offenders focus on the age when they were molested? Jarred's was 6-10 or so, no?

ITA, when will we get an organized forum.........this is going to be a huge case!

Let me preface this by saying I have followed Somer's case from the start to include all the *scant* details leaked to the media by law enforcement ((in that I must say WAY TO GO LE! YOU HAVE HAD A LEAKFREE FORCE WHICH IS UNDOUBTABLY PROTECTING YOUR HEROIC HUNT FOR THE KILLER OF SOMER THOMPSON!!) While we may not have known what LE was up to, even since the days of the abrupt trash search which found Somer, we must keep in mind that these professionals are on top of things and have been since the get go. When this case is all over and done and tied up in as neat of a bow as is possible, I hope that this LE team will share their secrets of success in this case and make some of their 'seemingly untimely moves' into moves that are followed like clockwork in every missing child case across this entire country.


ENTER THE CURRENT (AND ONLY NAMED INSOFAR) POI IN THIS CASE. And in he comes like lightening slicing thru a new york cheese cake. After months of silence LE is finally speaking... and not just an update... oh no... they are officially naming a person of interest in the case of the slaying of Somer Thompson.

Knowing what we know of this le in the past (their professionalism, their groundbreaking police work that led to the discovery mere DAYS later at the dump, their ability to keep their lips sealed with virtual cement to the media and the public that wants to know daily what is going on..), I do not see this latest media publication of a person of interest as cursory or just checking the box. I am sure they have so much on this current POI that they may only need one or more additional test to feel certain in the arrest: Le does not speak for months and suddenly they produce a POI. What is their game? I am sure they have it and are ON IT. Sure as I sit here this minute. We will not know it or appreciate it in the short run but in the long run it will be a slam dunk. Just moo.. just as I see it happening. ((((side personal note and observation: what if no one takes this alert seriously? what happens then? I think I know. And I think I know where I want this to turn. If turning is okay with you email nursebeeme@yahoo com. There is no turn that is too abrupt or insurmountable. nothing. overcome as a mantra. sure.

So OVERCOME... (((listening....listening.... MAN IS THIS **** HARD!!!!))) Continuing 6o listen... wow this is beyond hard. and what is hard? and what is beyond? I guess there is no in between. I guess???????????????? Yeah this **** ois hard. and it is hard... and it makes no sense and the sense it makes runs in circles not man~made.

6 weeks before the arrest of JH, feebies were knocking on his alleged birthfather's door asking for a buccal swab . Thinking back in timing this date is cursorily similar to the meat of the somer investigation as we know it. Do you know where six months prior to this disturbance would put you? It would put you SMACK in the center of the media blitz of Somer's disappearance. Or rather the very telling and seeming lull

All being said and all in keeping.. I think that:

1)this naming of a POI is not off the cuff but rather has some base in case fact and possibly cursory forensic connection and they are awaiting further connection via lab tests that are SLOW TO COME IN despite the priority given to the case. A lab can only act so fast accurately.

2)the first gano house search was a complete red herring and turned up nothing (MOO) BUT it was the last spot that she was sighted leaving the walk home from school. This would explain the lack of into radiating from this case as well as the current INTEREST in this case. ALLL IS WITHIN THE MEDIA SHROUD.... NOTHING SUBSTANTIVE WILL GET OUT unless or until something is WORTHY.

3) I seriously think that WORTHY MOMENT is coming.


wow....this was too much for one post. I guess I will save the rest of this for later....


BOTTOM LINE: Le knows where, when, why and how they are going with this case. They will solve it. I feel it like a creak in my bones. I tend to think their due diligence will save a gaggle or so or other women who would have been a victim to this parlance.

We shall see... and I guess the rest is crap because I just don't know....

Crist's office today faxed the extradition request to Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour, said Sterling Ivey, a spokesman for Crist. Ivey said the request was also being mailed overnight.
With the Florida request in hand, Barbour can sign a governor's warrant ordering Harrell returned to Florida. Barbour's press secretary, Dan Turner, told the Times-Union he's not sure who received the request and he would likely know more Friday.

"(Diena) doesn't want to point fingers at anybody because fingers have been pointed to us, and she doesn't want to do that to somebody who's already done it to us," Debbie Bowling said.

Phillip Bowling said the Justice Coalition will continue to be a source of support for the family because they're still a long way from any real closure.


The video of the Bowling was so very heart-wrenching, I can't even imagine the pain they are in. I just have to say this family shows great integrity, class and strength in the face of such a horrid tragedy, it never fails to amaze me the strength that human beings can find within, even when their entire world is crashing down upon them. I sincerly hope that they will have some of the answers they so desperately need next week. I pray they have the right IT and this evil will be locked up where he belongs.

I am so very happy to see that Charlie Crist did not fool around with the order to turn JH over!!!! I did not think he would. I would imagine that the extradition will take place in the next couple of days.

I also would not be surprised if the extradition takes place at night and on the weekend.

It is heart wrenching - I must think of Somer's twin every day and wonder how he is doing without his other half. Each and every child walking to school must have a different view of the world they once thought to be so safe. Mom Diena and loved ones have suffered the worst of the worst kind of tragedy possible, I'm hoping with all my heart that closure is on its way. moo

I believe they got their murderer. Naming him a POI after getting the dad's DNA cinched it for me.

I'll agree that they are trying to identify DNA found on Somer (JMO).

But LE has named someone a POI and not arrested them. Maybe not in FL. Maybe in FL they do it differently.

But other states have named POIs and no arrest made (e.g., IL - Craig Stebic, POI in the disappearance of his wife in April 2007, was named a POI in July 2007 ... and nada).

IIRC, the mom/stepdad had been gone a couple of weeks so none of Jarred Harrell's DNA on the dog would have been on Somer as a result of petting the same dog. Not by then ... because it would have been a couple of weeks since she would have been able to even pet the dog.
