No surprise, given the length of time. But IMO it's clear that LE has enough evidence to put this woman away for a very long time. From your link:

The Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences autopsy report, obtained by News4Jax on Tuesday, found no evidence of trauma or significant disease and no drugs were found in her system. Noting that the girl had likely been dead 31-184 days and noting that the remains were deteriorated and had been scavenged by animals, the state’s senior medical examiner said the cause and manner of Tayor’s death was undetermined.

The autopsy did not(e) anomalies in Tayor’s skull and teeth that were “suspicious for neglect or severe illness, but there is no other evidence to support this hypothesis.” There were indications of childhood nutrition stress.
...
According to evidence released in the case, investigators found possible bloodstains in six locations in the apartment, including inside a closet. Cadaver dogs alerted on Williams’ trunk.

ugh....
Can't believe I had some sympathy at the beginning for her. I thought maybe an accidental death, I should learn by now most loving parents don't hide a true accidental death. I still don't understand what prompted her to report her missing. Seems she would have gotten away with it, since she isolated herself and Taylor.

11/17/20 Update: Present Judge Kevin Blazs, Asst. State attorney Lauren Anderson, Asst. public defender Joshua Beard & defendant present virtually from jail. Defense needs more time for depositions. Defense attorney Joshua Beard said deposition hearings were held on Nov. 9, 10, 11 & there will be one on Nov. 17. Beard said he anticipates more deposition hearings to be scheduled. He said there have been technological challenges that haven't allowed them to schedule those hearings yet, however, so they need more time. Judge reschedules pretrial hearing to 1/5/21.

Like other current child cases on WS, if the medical examiner can't determine the cause or manner of a child's death, the parent or a a significant other can't be charged with murder. Taylor's killer mom will not face a murder charge because she made sure that her daughter's body wouldn't be found until it was too late for forensic evidence.

Based on other similar cases, she might get 20 years, and be eligable for parole in three years. smh

What a shame. I get that she can't be charged with murder. But you would think they could rack up other charges that would net a more severe sentence and make them concurrent. Poor sweet child, she deserved so much better than she received in her lifetime :(

Just checked the court record for her case (16-2019-CF-011711-AXXX-MA). Looks like they had a pretrial hearing today (likely on status of the deposition hearing that are trickling onto the docket). Next pre-trial hearing

All this woman had to do, was drop off her child at the daycare, located right where she worked! She received a subsidy for a dependent, and living off base.

If she no longer wanted the child, could she have contacted TR father? Or left TR with family?

This woman killed her child, and kept going to work every day. There is zero potential for rehabilitation here.

The new material contains more than 400 pages of FBI investigative reports, documents and subpoenas. It includes several maps that show how Williams’ trips from Jacksonville to Alabama were traced via her cellphone, including to the wooded area where Taylor’s remains were found.

The documents show Williams’ movements were tracked down to the minute.

The material also shows that the FBI got Williams’ phone records, and documents show calls from two men to and from her phone during the time she was in Alabama from Oct. 31, 2019 to Nov. 2, 2019.

Williams, according to the documents, called her mother on Oct. 31. Her mother told detectives Williams called her saying that if Williams’ captain called her, to tell him that she was at her mother’s apartment picking up Taylor, even though Taylor was not at the apartment that day.

The records show Williams attended 13 speech pathology lessons through April 17, 2019. Her doctor told an NCIS detective that Taylor and her mother never showed up to her appointment on April 24.

Williams was then discharged from care after missing two appointments. The doctor told the detective that she never saw any signs that Taylor could have been abused or neglected.

A screenshot of an Amazon search for a shower curtain is included in the evidence.
