5/10/20 Update: Pretrial hearing has been cancelled due to the coronavirus & rescheduled on 6/9. 6/9/20 Update: Via Zoom. Williams waived right to speedy trial. The State Attorney’s Office has provided Williams’ defense lawyer with more discovery material in the case & also been given 31 pages of supplemental reports from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. The report is expected to reveal whether or not bloodstains found at Williams’ Southside apartment were from Taylor. The pre-trial hearing held via Zoom was only a few minutes long but Jacksonville attorney Rhonda Peoples-Waters said the FDLE’s forensic report could be a turning point in the case. If they believe this blood kind of contrasts or defies what Brianna told them as to what happened previously with her daughter or links her more to the death of Taylor, then the state attorney’s office will have the option to upgrade the charges. According to evidence released in the case, investigators found possible bloodstains in six locations in the apartment, including inside a closet. Court documents suggest that Brianna Williams tortured, maliciously punished or caged Taylor sometime between the last time the girl was seen alive in April and Nov. 6, 2019 -- when Williams reported her missing. Williams due back in court June 30.
6/30/20 Update: Hearing held with Judge Kevin Blazs, Asst. State atty Lauren Marie Anderson, defense atty Joshua Andrew Beard; defendant's appearance waived. Next pretrial hearing on 8/4/20.

This is such a sad and tragic case like so many others we see here I just don't know what it's going to take to get these kind of people to stop murdering their kids. I just hope they are able to find a cause and manner of death for Taylor so that she can get the justice she deserves.

8/4/20 Update: Present: Judge Kevin Blazs, Asst. State Attorney Lauren Marie Anderson, Asst. Public def. Joshua Andrew Bears & defendant appeared virtually from jail. The defense asked for more time to review discovery to which the state agreed, calling some of the latest evidence voluminous. Police reports recently released in July show investigators discovered a closet in Williams’ Southside apartment reeking of bodily waste & human decomposition, as well as bloodstains on the carpet & walls that tested positive for Taylors’ DNA. Investigators believe Williams, a former Navy Petty Officer First Class at NAS Jax, kept her 5-year-old daughter in that closet when she was not at home. Next pretrial hearing on 8/25/20.

Right and I remember people doubting much of what the movers claimed , thinking they were just trying to get thier 15 min of fame . I think just generally it was assumed to be rumors. This was one case that even on SM people seemed to IMO really didn’t have anything bad to say about this mom. I swear I remember seeing a interview just a quick couple min of the woman mover giving a statement but now I can’t find it so maybe it’s my imagination .
This case was so unusual IMO,MOO because it seemed like this mom was treated differently. On all platforms i didn’t see the usual outrage against the mom. I mean I know here we have to treat parents like victims until LE says otherwise . But in most cases parents /guardians etc. are totally convicted in court of public opinion even in cases where they are totally innocent. Not so much the case here at all. Even when she was arrested her peers the general public etc seemed to be way more trying to excuse her. Like they couldn’t believe she was capable or it was mental break if she did. When the movers spoke out they seemed to be knocked down and criticized. It’s just a very different case from
The norm this “mother” had so much support like she could do no wrong , however it felt like little Taylor didn’t have a voice , much less outrage for what happened to her . It was more of poor Brianna what about Taylor? It’s baffled me from day one.

I’ve always thought the same. And the only reasonable explaination (although not in my book) was that she was an apparent law abiding, hard working woman in the navy. Social class always comes into play when people judge IMO.

To me she is a callous, cruel, murderous being who should never see the light of day again!

Noted, "former petty officer". I guess that she has been discharged from the Navy.

She is no longer employed by the military as far as I can see. I live just outside of Jacksonville and I have been following this case. Apparently, because of the level of decomposition, manner of death has not been determined. Therefore, the DA is reluctant to charge her with murder. I am guessing they need a solid airtight case before they would do that. I really don't know how much more evidence they really need. That sorry excuse for a person killed her daughter as sure as I am breathing at this moment. Thankfully we still have the death penalty in this state. Hopefully they will charge her soon.

Why do people like this have children when it’s clear they couldn’t give a flying hoot about anyone other than themselves? I see some struggling mothers who have their children removed for comparatively minor reasons when you look at what little Taylor was subjected to in her short life. There are mothers who go without food to feed their babies and become ill and under nourished themselves, some who prostitute themselves to put food on the table for their kids, some who make stupid mistakes like leaving them alone for 10 minutes when they are out of gas at home and have no choice but to leave their sleeping child alone to go and get some heat for the house. I’m not saying it’s right to do that by a long stretch but there are some parents who do genuinely love their kids that have them removed from them to have them placed in a home where they are subjected to physical torture, abuse and cold darkness. What I’m saying is that some people are dealt a bad hand in life, even though they try their best something always knocks them back, they have kids and try their very best to give them a half decent upbringing with love and good intentions. This (I can’t even use the word mother) monster!! Was a Navy officer she could have done good things and made her daughters future happy. Instead, she made the conscious decision to lock her up for hours possibly days on end, deny her the most basic needs, instead of a cuddle to keep warm if it’s cold and there’s no money she chose to torture her child. There’s being a good mom with her heart in the right place even if she messes up sometimes, then there’s being a cruel evil witch with no emotion towards your very own little girl, who you then murder without a care in the world and all she’s ever known is pain!!
