I'm also struck by the journal entry about Mothers Day. Expectant? Wondering what interesting thing will happen? Her posts are rambling but still seem to expect a future. I have some friends who write things this way and honestly while I try to compliment them, it comes off as pretentious and a little self absorbed, WHICH adds to my feeling that she didn't go off and harm herself. She would want to stick around and have more deep thoughts and get reactions. Hmm. Where are you Tricia

BBM

This entry is interesting to me too. She says God speaks to her in 3's, and Mother's day two years ago she went to Haiti for the first time. Then last Mother's day she mentions she was pregnant in Haiti. Then she says Mother's day is coming again soon.

That's why I was wondering about her bank account and passport situation. Wondering if she left for Haiti. But her bank account hasn't been used according to MSM. And I couldn't see her abandoning her child without making plans.

Then I wondered if it had to do with her maybe being pregnant again.

Then I decided I was imagining too much into it. ;-)

She was anticipating something happening around Mother's day, though.

Just my gut. I'm getting a feeling that someone she naively trusted failed her. Maybe someone she didn't know as well as she thought she did. Either took advantage of her, mistreated her, or she made some decisions she wouldn't normally make around this individual. Thinking this could have been an older man. Someone with a lot to lose.
Someone she looked up to and in a difficult, fresh separation from her husband, preyed on her vulnerability.
Again just my first reaction with no back up...just yet.

Her words are very deep to me. Not crazy, not bipolar, or weirdly over religious.
They are thought out and poetic. I'm feeling there was somehow sexual abuse.
Baptized at an older age, and based on her journal writings she's afraid to tell someone something, and her "inner sin" she mentions on Facebook.
That last journal entry clearly feels that she was threatened by someone.
She's talking out to herself finding the courage to face this problem. Whatever or whoever it may be.
All just me thinking out loud. Trying to read through the lines after looking at her pages and some of the people on them.

I think her husband likely harmed her. He was seen gassing her car at 1:20 am. He apparently had his car cleaned before the police were able to search it. And he killed all of her pets. This is according to her LJ and posts by her brother. See her LJ post on Aug 29, 2009. I can post a screen shot of the brother's post once I figure out how to do it from my phone.

Kind of makes me worry that he planned this and purposely made the baby sick to get Tricia back to his place.

Just my two cents!

I feel sick after reading that LJ post. It definitely makes me look at the ex-husband in a new light.

Great Scott. Good catch. Plus the hubby is in town and now the child gets sick and forced to the hospital but hubby expected mom to get the child even though hubby should have been there if he is rarely with his child (due to him living somewhere else).

So was he there to see his child or her?

Give me a break here.

They didn't leave the child at the hospital. I don't think they were ever even seen by medical staff at the hospital. Someone posted on the fb page early on that she saw Tricia and Faith in the ER with a man but they left before they were seen. I read somewhere else (can't recall where now) that Faith was showing signs of improvement in the waiting room at the emergency room so they left before seeing a doctor.

Has the Sheriff's department released the make/model/color of the vehicles driven by Tricia and her ex-husband?

The police said hubby passed a poly and seemed truthful in a very very extensive interview/interrogation.

So is it Possible that the wife may be trying to set the ex hubby up for her disappearance that could be voluntary?

If he has killed defenseless animals then he may be a sociopath and I think it's easy for sociopaths to fool the polygraph.

So why not spend the night in the ER where you are around others and not with the animal killer alone at 2am.

But you are right. Hopefully they will ping his phone to see if he was telling the truth about his whereabouts.

I think it might be a good idea if somebody here on Websleuths was to forward that page to the local cops. They may not be aware of the animal abuse that took place internally in that relationship. We all know that animal abuse is simply a stepping stone to striking out against humans.
It doesn't sound as if she ever reported it or had charges pressed against him, so all of these dead family pets were never known about.

It's definitely a disturbing turn of events and I wish I hadn't even read it. I have the sudden urge to grab a baseball bat and see if her ex husband would like to meet me behind the barn for about 10 minutes.

I agree, I think all of us on this board are intelligent people and we are making good and valid points, it would help to forward each and every message to the police.

Wondering why my post with the screenshots was deleted?

I think it says a lot when a missing person's family has concerns about who may have harmed them. Tricia's step father is quoted in the media for the following, referring to Trica's ex, Steve Williams.

"He is real meticulous anyway but it's strange," said Tricia's Step-Father Mike Hasselbach. "It's something you would do if some evidence was to be left behind in the car. So that is just something else that gets put to his motive. One more thing that doesn't look good for him"

This is in reference to being seen on video getting gas and eventually getting her car washed.

IMO, her car being found oddly parked - "Todd's car was found Wednesday morning in a neighbors yard with the keys in the ignition and her purse still inside. Melissa Crable said the car was oddly parked." - with her purse left behind and keys in the ignition feel like a set up. Staged to appear that someone was quickly abducted or staged to indicate someone was unstable and ran off.

I've seen a lot of self harm stories here lately and there are never facts that add up but one doesn't typically draw attention to themself. If her car was found an hour away, I'd feel more of a suicide vibe but this just feels like a set up. IMO

And maybe I'm wrong but is this statement - "Using a polygraph, nothing in his interview showed he was involved or knew anything about his disappear," Sheriff William Snyder the same as he passed it?

I think the family has likely told LE about the pets since her brother posted about it on Facebook, but it may be helpful for them to read Tricia's own words about it if they haven't already.
