Tucker not off to a great start with the judge today. "Sir, you don't need to placate me. Just do the business! I'm tired of all the extra fluff.........if an attorney did this...I wouldn't put up with it!"

"Mr. Tucker! Once again you are ...interrupting!"Tucker: I don't mean to interrupt. Judge: Well, you do, constantly!

That pic of Tucker with PB proves that these people knew each other and "partied" together. Somehow he's managed to bring her to his side and get her to help him in her last remaining days. Him spending the weekend with her or whatever is also worrisome to me. Seems like witness tampering to me. Or at the very least influencing.

JMO

Whoa! Catching up now and see that Detective Malone was asked if Paula Belamonte corroborated her investigation on the day of the murder when she was at the hospital. Detective Malone answered YES! But later when she was asked who PB identified she said she only ID'd Rory Wilson and that she had no idea who the 2nd assailant was. Idk but I keep feeling like both PB and RR knew Tucker. Hmm. Defendant was in rare form today. I'm not sure whey he was pressed to get PB's testimony in during the state's case. I wonder if he's trying to do a rebuttal during the state's case to throw the jury off and slow the state's momentum. State suggested PB is not at death's door - in fact, far from it! JMO

@cathyrusson

CLARIFICATION: A local reporter said there was talk that #FranklinTucker was possibly offered a plea deal for time served. We have not confirmed that any plea was offered.

It is so hard for me to believe this plea was offered to the one who did the stabbing/murder. I bet this was put out by Tucker himself. JMO

Edited to add: Also, there’s just no way Tucker would opt to go to trial with that kinda offer. I just can’t believe that he would risk it.

Johnson testifies he and the defendant were staying at a "flop house" called the warehouse. Co-defendant Rory "Detroit" Wilson came over and told Johnson and Tucker there was a location that had a bunch of dope and money. It was a place called "The treehouse".

Johnson: Wilson, Tucker and Johnson jump in Johnson's truck and they drive by "the treehouse"...sort of surveillance. They returned to the "warehouse". Wilson and Tucker changed into 'darker' clothes.

@cathyrusson

Johnson says Tucker was wearing all black as well and a mask. Tucker's mask was like a gator/buff with "Jagermeister" on it and a KNIFE. A black and red handled, double edge, serrated on one side.

Johnson testified Wilson and Tucker go in his truck and he drove them to the tree house. It was nighttime. They drove around the block once. Wilson and Tucker got out of the truck. Johnson pulled forward and parked on the side of the road.

Wilson had a metal pipe and Tucker had the knife, according to Johnson's testimony. (Tucker maintains he wasn't there)

10:18 AM · Jan 17, 2024

A few minutes later someone ran out with a flashlight yelling for help and for someone to call the police. Johnson said he looked in his rear view mirror and saw Tucker running toward him. Johnson said he took off without Tucker or Wilson.

@cathyrusson

Johnson said he drove back to the warehouse. Tucker showed up only a minutes later. Johnson testified Tucker was mad, "What the *advertiser censored**, what's wrong with you? Why did you leave us?!"

10:31 AM · Jan 17, 2024

Johnson says he never saw Wilson come out of the tree house and he didn't return to the warehouse, only Tucker did.

10:32 AM · Jan 17, 2024

Johnson left the warehouse and walked to the store to get cigarettes. He saw Wilson at the store. He asked him what happened and Wilson told him not to worry about it.

Day Four (Jan. 17th) of FTT trial.

Friendly Reminder of who TJ is:

A third defendant, Travis Johnson, was arrested as the getaway driver. He pleaded guilty in 2023 to robbery with a weapon while masked, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon while masked. Johnson, who testified against Wilson, has agreed to do the same against Tucker.

@cathyrusson

Johnson said Wilson and Tucker were at the warehouse. Wilson pulled out a tin can out of his pocket full of crack cocaine. Wilson also had money in his pockets, $200-$300.

10:36 AM · Jan 17, 2024

Johnson testifies Tucker had a bag that he had run out of the tree house with. In the bag was pens, notepads, feminine personal items. It appeared items that belonged to a female. Johnson says Tucker gave him $50 bill from the wad of money Wilson had.

Yes, I bet he knows the case better than anybody else ... Video is 11+ minutes (@around 5 minute mark: TTF addresses the plea deal offer).

Franklin 'Ty' Tucker talked about defending himself on homicide charges, saying, "I know the case better than they do."

I'm still catching up but it looks like I was wrong - the surviving victims didn't know Tucker prior to the robbery. They knew Rory Wilson and recognized him.

Travis Johnson is credible so far on direct. I'll see how he does on cross but I don't see why this man would just lie and implicate Tucker.

@JulieCourtTV

TREEHOUSE MURDER TRIAL… is getting really good! This co-defendant JUST made the identification of the defendant, “Ty” Tucker. Lookout

THERE’S MORE… Now, onto describing the how the robbery plan was hatched. He also identifies the treehouse. More to come!

Thought TJ did well on cross. He is a veteran and has PTSD diagnosis. His testimony appears accurate, imo, agree he is credible.

Defendant asked some ridiculous questions. Asking about Rory Wilson being left handed, etc. Did he watch any videos, speak with anyone about the case while he's in jail. Did he want out of jail. His line of questioning is strange. TJ handled himself well. moo
