Investigators interviewed Ms Suarez's lover who said that in the weeks leading up to her death, their intense relationship was discovered by Toledo who confronted the couple at work.

Luis Toledo was seen publicly threatening his wife before she and her children disappeared. Toledo, a known gang member, was enraged, according to an affidavit seen by Fox.

The co-worker said that Toledo slapped his wife in the face while she pleaded with him to 'think of the kids'.

Ms Suarez's lover said that he last spoke to her at 1am on the day she disappeared. He said she apologized to him, saying that he had nothing to worry about - and she was the one who would have to look over her shoulder.

hearing was very short. march 18 next . trial april but do think it will extend out.it was strange meeting a cousin of luis toledo. she asked if i was family. i said no. then she said sorry for their loss and cried. i asked so your here in support of your cousin? she said of course hes family. said its a nightmere. i believe she was only supporter for him. she said she would have gone to memorial but was sure family would not want to see any of them. i am sure she was right. how do you not associate them with the tragic even though they did not do it? i saw how it extends out to everyone. terrible sad.

DAYTONA BEACH — More evidence in the triple murder case against a Deltona man became public this week, including images of the suspect after his suicide attempt while in Volusia County custody.

The records have been gathered as investigators build cases against Luis Toledo, who is charged with killing Yessenia Suarez, 28, and her two children, 8-year-old Michael Otto and 9-year-old Thalio Otto.

The mother and children disappeared in late October, and are presumed dead.

Human remains found in Deland, FL. Appears to be that of a young girl and apparently has been there for some time.

Although investigators are not saying anything about who the remains may be, Jarvis said a deputy told him it appeared to be a young girl.

The discovery made many people think of the Suarez family. Yessenia Suarez and her two young children have been missing from their Deltona neighborhood, which is 18 miles away, since late October and presumed dead.

Interesting in light of the fact the remains found were in east Deland. In one way I hope the remains are those of Yessenia or her children (for at least a little closure for the family) but in another way I hope the remains are not related. JMO

"They were combing through an old orange grove east of DeLand, a roughly 2 1/2-mile stretch of land that hasn't been searched yet. Suarez's family, the volunteers and the Volusia County Sheriff's Office chose the location after some discussion, but sheriff's spokesman Brandon Haught said there was no specific evidence that made it particularly suspect."

The bones were found "east of Deland".

"A resident who was walking in the area found the bag, which contained skeletal remains, along Oak Street near International Speedway Boulevard, the Volusia County Sheriff's Office said.

The location is east of DeLand."

Again, please do not discuss by name anyone other than the suspect, Luis Toledo.

It seems unlikely that the remains found recently belong to this family, due to the description, which made it sound as though they had been there much longer than a matter of five months...but Jmo, and depending upon if description given was accurate (i.e bag of bones with significant plant growth.)

Here's a Toledo phone call to a Suarez uncle, intended for Yessenia's mom. He believes the mom is "staring down his relatives" in court even though "she calls herself a Christian" and she better leave his family alone, yada yada yada.

He is a piece of work. :banghead:

He's worried about her glaring at HIS family, yet he doesn't care that HER family is in a hole/lake somewhere. He's nervy for sure.

Toledo goes after Judge thanks to local website:

Full Story: http://www.news-journalonline.com/a...ter-Judge-Margaret-Hudson-in-letter-from-jail

“Thank You Very Much For This Vital Conflict Of Interest And Will Place A Motion To Remove Her From My Case!” Toledo wrote.

Toledo wrote about seeking Hudson’s recusal in a letter dated May 3 to Volusia Exposed, in which he thanked the website for providing him information about the alleged conflict. Volusia Exposed sent letters to Toledo and three other inmates about Judge Hudson, who is married to Dave Hudson, a former sheriff’s captain who retired in 2005. The website also sent letters to a pair of brothers facing murder charges and one man convicted of trying to kill two deputies. No information was available on how many letters Toledo, a former Latin Kings gang member, has sent while jailed.

The Florida Supreme Court’s Judicial Ethics Advisory Committee stated in a July 2007 opinion that merely having a relative, such as a spouse or son, employed by an agency is not sufficient reason to disqualify a judge. The Ethics Committee said that a judge should disqualify herself or himself if a relative is actively involved in the investigation.

Older article but I didn't see it on here ... Talks about his suicide attempt early on ..

This case breaks my heart for SO many reasons ... Main reason being I totally relate to Yessenia's situation because I've been there. Every time I read a story about an insanely jealous, abusive, and controlling person who kills their partner, I am reminded how lucky I am that I got me and my babies away finally! Prayers of answers and justice for Yessenia, Thalia, and Michael's families. :(

In a letter dated May 2 to a Deltona couple, Toledo wrote in Spanish that he sent three boxes to Laredo, Texas.

"I have a big surprise for the world. I have lots of friends that owe me favors. Between you and me, I sent three boxes to Laredo Texas. One large and two small. The large was already sent to Veracruz, Mexico and the two (others) are doing well. Now you know why I don't care what they do with me because my things are well," the letter states, translated from the Spanish...

Toledo also wrote Suarez's mother, Felicita Perez, to ask her for pictures of Suarez and the children.

Omg, the things I read into that quote! IMO, and IMO only, he could only be referring to Yessenia (large box) and the kids (two small). Personally I think he's blowing smoke up everyone's butts. BUT he very well could have had help tho the time frame for getting help was pretty small. And, if he had help with the bodies, why call on a neighbor to help him dump the car? Jmo, something stinks.

Okay....why Laredo Texas and Veracruz Mexico? Strange.

And what else could he have sent? He's in jail, no access to anything. No access to anything in his house.

And pictures? Jmo, he's playing head games or he's pure evil. Or both.

All jmo.
